So, my wife wanted a case for her new phone, so I decided to look into one for my Mytouch 4g slide and order one too. I wound up going with an Armor Suit military shield, thinking it would be a nice to have something that wouldn't make the phone bulky, but provide scratch protection.
I just got it in the mail and oh man, I hate it; It sucks so hard. Putting it on was a pain - it's basically a thick sticker an a bottle of alcohol with some other additives. I followed their terrible instructions which came in two parts and actually contradicted themselves and applied the case. After I was done, I picked up the phone, which went from feeling smooth and soft to sharp on corners (since the corners of the films kept coming loose on the curves of the phone) and rough to the touch. On top of that, i did a test scratch using my fingernail with a small amount of pressure and i put a sizable scratch in the case.. it doesn't give me much confidence for an actual scratch with something actually hard.
The included screen protector was incredibly cloudy. It had these waves of white and just made the whole thing look dirty.
I don't know if my experience is unique to me, or if it's just the line.. but Oh man, I will never buy one of these things again. I hope I can get my money back. At least the adhesive didn't gum up the normal coating on the phone, so it feels the same as before I tried to apply it. I think i'm just going to buy a cheap-o screen protector and call it a day.
My HTC Incredible gives me the low on application memory error so much now. I was getting it every other day, but was able to "fix" it by clearing the data in theContacts Storage running app and sometimes the Facebook app too. Now neither of these fixes the problem and so non of my google accounts sync (no gmail/contacts).
I am tired of factory resetting this thing every month :/ i stopped playing games cause i know the scores/saves will be lost when i reset the phone in a couple weeks. I don't know if rooting would let me fix/avoid/deal with this issue any better. Any ideas? (I've searched this issue online and there doesn't seem to be any conclusive solution, just looking for any personal experiences here).
It sounds to me like you've got too many applications running as services on the phone.
