It was $4.99 on Black Friday from Best Buy and Amazon. If there is a Blockbuster near you you can pick up a used copy for $4, it's the single disc version though.

I called and got a replacement. It was supposed to arrive today but tracking shows it's still en route :/. I hope to get the right one.

If the product listing and your order information showed that it was the combo version and you received the single-disc version, they picked the wrong one for shipment and they need to replace it.

Only version I see on Amazon for Inception is the two-disc Blu-Ray, so you'll be getting the Blu-Ray only, though it is two discs for the movie and extras.

Amazon is listing two version of Unknown, one that is listed as a combo BD/DVD/DC and one that is a Blu-Ray only version. It's listed as the combo on my order and on the packing list, so someone mis-picked it before shipping it. It's not like how Best Buy had them on their website when it first came out, which showed an image for the combo release on both the non-combo and combo release. They've since fixed it, though it was irritating to order it and not get the combo release when it came out.

I did. I have no use for the 3D version at this time (I did see it in IMAX when it was out though and it was awesome) but it was a pretty nice price to have both Tron and Tron Legacy. I was hoping for a lower price though.

Amazon does actually list the single disc version, but have none in stock for Inception. The way Amazon has been going lately, I wouldn't put it past them though. Remember the Sucker Punch false advertising? Granted it was a customer photo but shame on them for not having official product placement. The beat just keeps going on with these mishaps. . .

LOL, when I saw it in the theaters I was mad at myself about 30 minutes in because I thought I had seen it before and had just wasted some money. Then, I realized that I had only seen the trailer, not the entire movie, but that it was so predictable that it felt like I had actually already seen it.

I felt the same way. I liked the movie, but you could tell what was going on from the beginning. I was waiting for some sort of unexpected twist, but there wasn't one.
 
Between studios now putting out garbage like "movie only editions" and including "Ultraviolet digital copies" I've become hyper aware of what versions of movies I'm ordering. It's actually the first thing I check when I open my packages now.

I've had to send more things back to Amazon lately than I have in the past and as a result I'm buying more stuff online from Best Buy since I can just go into the store and say hey my case came crushed or I was sent the wrong thing. Even though Amazon emails you a shipping label you still have to buy mailers/boxes to ship your item back and after a while it adds up. I'm going to have to ship back two things just from Black Friday's sales alone and all my stuff hasn't even come yet. I also had to send back Battlefield 3 and a laptop cooling pad a few weeks ago. Best Buy is slowly winning me back.

Received my Inception order from Amazon's $4.99 Lightning Deal, ended up with the 3-disc edition with two Blu-rays and the original film on DVD. It did not include the slipcover, but for $4.99 shipped, that's just fine with me. I hope everyone else ends up with that edition as well :)

Bleh, I caved last week when I saw the individual sets went on sale. Didn't want to miss out on the sale because I didn't think the complete set was going to be on sale. Cost me $96.95 for Seasons 1-4 + The Plan, I'm sure the complete set won't drop that low but I really want that box >.

Nice! Maybe Amazon screwed up in our favor for once ha.

Got a bunch of my movies yesterday and one of the warehouse packers deserves a medal for my box full of five BDs. Not only was everything tightly packed in the box, but they used proper pillow packing and my Bourne Trilogy (get this) was inside ANOTHER box and fully covered in bubble-wrap. Everything was mint condition and had their proper slipcovers where applicable. :applause:

However, my copy of Driver was in a shitty envelope mailer and the disc inside was loose thanks to how easily these can be squeezed. 3rd time that's happened lately but so far none have been scratched as a result. Stick to boxes Amazon or at least the one-sie mailer boxes you used to do so frequently.

My copy of Source Code showed up as the "Special Edition", which is sans digital copy. The picture shows the "Special Edition" at the moment, though I think when I ordered it, the picture was showing the artwork on the slipcover showing the BD + digital copy version.

Its got to be my warehouse. I used to get packages from another one a few states away and they were fantastic, no complaints. Now it's a more local one and they're absolute trash.

Now that I think about it, I really should check to see where my awesome package was shipped from. I'd be willing to bet it was from the good warehouse.
 
The Supernatural Season 5 blu-ray they sent me was worn the fuck out and broken disc case inside fuck. Everything else was in perfect condition.

Did your three-disc edition include the slip cover? I'm curious if Amazon shipped all of this particular version w/o them, or if it was just certain orders/warehouses which didn't include them.

Seems it was an error on Amazon's part. The version with the DVD & DC has been taken down. If you click on the link from your order it takes you to the standard disc only version. My 2nd chat with a rep was met with an "I'm sorry, since this might happen again, we can't send you another order. Please order it from a market place seller. I've processed an early refund for you, thoguh." Once I explained that it was at a black friday price, she simply said, "oh." :roll:

I'm not going to push the issue any further and just return it.
 
No slip cover on my 3-disc Inception from Amazon shipped from Lexington KY (dont really care about slip covers but if it came with one then I would keep it)

I also ran into this issue with HP & TDH Part 1, as I received a copy without the digital copy nor slipcover, plus it was damaged. The replacement included a slipcover as well as the version with BD / DVD / DC.

Using Blu-Ray.com as a reference for movies being in combo pack form or not isn't advised, as they routinely list movies as combo packs and Amazon shows them as movie-only versions.
 
I didn't know people cared about slipcovers so much. So far the only bluray I've received from Amazon that still had it was Rango.

Also it's always random chance for me as to whether my stuff comes packaged absolutely perfectly or totally careless. They don't even prioritize the more expensive stuff. I remember when everyone was complaining about getting their Zelda SS LE boxes all smashed up from being shipped in the wrap-around cardboard things, and I had just received my $18 Duke Nukem Balls of Steel that was packaged perfectly and arrived in pristine condition. I would even pay an extra dollar or so for some orders just to know that they would be packaged right.

Yeah there are dedicated threads for selling them on blu-ray.com or highdefdigest.com. Don't remember exactly which one. Also ebay works but you won't get as much after fees and all that junk. I'm sure members here would buy them too, I know I'll be in the market for some once I sort out which ones I'm missing.

Check out this garbage. On your invoice it will say Unknown (Blu-ray/DVD Combo + Digital Copy) but they've now changed the title to Unknown [Blu-ray] (2011) on the page itself... even though it still says Blu-ray/DVD Combo + Digital Copy in the formats and version selection box! They've also deleted their picture of the combo and replaced it with a customer uploaded image...

In two of my larger orders all the movies were hard plastic wrapped to a piece of cardboard inside the box. Then The Town came in a single cardboard mailer and it looked like someone took the insert itself out of the case and crumpled it up then put it back in. I was like how is this even possible!

If I don't get it right the second time, I'll try a third time and see what happens. Normally Amazon lets you re-order a wrong item twice or a damaged item replacement twice, and then they tell you that you can either take what you have for a discount or return it.
 
What's odd for me is that Amazon almost always gets me the slip cover. I don't really care if I get them or not honestly so maybe I just don't notice when I don't get them.
 
Got my Justice League Complete Series today. Goddamn I am glad I jumped on this instead of individual sets. The metal box is awesome.
