Alright, just finished my matches with sky03. I ended up winning 2-1.

1st match on Final Destination - Luigi(aTOH) > Pikachu(sky03)
2nd match on Final Destination - Luigi(aTOH) < Kirby(sky03)
3rd match on Final Destination - Ness(aTOH) > Kirby(sky03)

GGs again, sky.
 
well me and spazx are having some problems. We cant seem to add each other to play together. It stays at awaiting registration for both of us and even though weve readded each other and played other matches against anyone and friends.

Anyone know why we cant seem to add each other. Were both online right now and both just played matches against anyone but still are awaiting registration with each other.

Renegade_zero and I are having the exact same problem right now. We've tried disconnecting and even making sure we had the right friend codes, but nothing so far. We're just gonna leave our Wiis on and try again in an hour. Hopefully that works. Anyone else having the problem?
 
maybe we should switch parterns if its allowed. I know your online dmunkee and on my friends list because i was trying to join your game earlier to test my connection. If things dont fix soon maybe we can switch partners and see if we can connect.

Renegade_zero and I finally got to our matches, he saw me as online, even though I didn't see him. It kept disconnecting us when I made the room, but when he opened his I was able to join no problem. aTOH, I plagiarized your template here:

1st match on Yoshi's Island - Pit(dmunkee) d. Lucario(renegade_zero)
2nd match on Metaknight's halberd - Pit(dmunkee) d. Lucario(renegade_zero)

Good games, though the Halberd's laser ended up killing Lucario once in the second round.

Also, sorry for kicking out anyone that tried to join my room.

We've wasted almost 3 hours trying to connect to this piece of shit. I guess we can try again tomorrow. fuck you Nintendo and fuck your oh-so-very-shitty half-assed online system.

crystalklear64 vs. RAMSTORIA (RAM never showed)
ZerotypeX vs. -Never4Ever- (Neither of them showed up (?))

I'd say that's a pretty good attendance rate for the first round. Only three people didn't show up.

Well he PM'd me about an hour ago, of course the one hour I haven't been on Brawl today, so hopefully he's still on.
 
Never4Ever PM'd me, saying that he decided to forfeit, which is a shame.

So, according to everyone's calculations, we have 2 matches that were unfinished. One to connection, and another due to a no-show. While the no-show decision is obvious (I'm awarding it to CK64, since RAM was on today, but I'm guessing declined to participate in the tourney), the connection-related match is a tough one.

My initial decision is to let them try again, since this isn't the first time someone's connection has messed up registration (it's happened to me far too often, for one). If that's ok with Spaz and sleepy, and they can get a good connection going, then we'll have ourselves something good. Otherwise...well, I'm not entirely sure yet.

I'm going to go and get the pairings for Round 2 underway, and I'll try and have them posted sometime within the hour, as well as a deadline for Spaz/sleepy, and for Round 2.

Alright I've got to head to bed. I'll check in the morning or something if he is online and maybe you'd let that fly if he's on.

If it's fine by you, then I suppose I'll let it go. But if you can't get a match with him, then my original decision stands.

Round 2 pairings are up, Round 2 will end Thursday at Noon. I figure I'll throw another few hours in case of another mishap like we're having. Reminder PMs will be sent out tomorrow morning.
 
Well I guess sleepy and I can try again tonight and see if it works. If we can't get it to work right then I'll forfeit and sleepy can move on.

So beef, is it possible to extend the round 2 deadline to Thursday night? My opponent has something important to do the rest of today and I will be tired from an exam Thursday at 7 AM (need sleep when I get back).

how do you save replays? is it an option once the match is over?

If I had known I would of been saving them from the get go
 
If the match is under 3 minutes in length, you hit the Z button (on the GC controller...not sure how to save them on other control schemes) on the "____ wins!" screen.

What my friend does is he records them onto his laptop by using some sort of converter, then he's able to upload them. I'll ask him about it later, and relay it back here.

You can do it the cheap way (video camera), use a tv tuner with composite inputs, or use some other kind of converter (usually very expensive). With tv tuners, you could get an internal or a usb one, although a usb one will tax your processor much more.

Personally, I use a tv tuner with something I already had (a Linux DVR box) and just write out the input to an mpeg file. I believe you can capture tuner input through Windows with MovieMaker, although I've never tried it.
