Too bad you missed the FOX thing.

Moxio killed that Fox deal singlehandedly.

Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119068
PSU (520W modular Corsair): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139001
CPU (Intel c2d E6850): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115028
Mobo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128059

I haven't decided whether or not to go for a quad core or not though. The Q6600 is the same price as the E6850.
I might also pick up another 320 gb HDD (which would bring me up to 750 gb).

why do you think I like T-pain, you big dumb $$$$$$?

better yet, who told you i did? kind of a guilty pleasure thing going on if you know what i mean

Correct.

Mobo and case look fine. The PS looks kinda pricey... is it supposed to be, like, some sort of "super-quality" model? Because I don't really see too much reason to spend so much on a PS.

As for the processor, I would probably save ~$100 and go E6750, but if you've got the budget than aim higher.

Also, no graphics card?

I need the Freezepop song but I can wait so I'm just gonna exploit OXM out of that disc.

*cough*

I'm n Luv (Wit a Stripper).

Didn't some $$$$$$(this time not TFN) reference that on Hoody Hoo last night?

The idea of having four processors is not something I could pass up.

I don't know if you're planning on gaming or what not ($$$$$$), but this guy has a pretty nice deal on a 8800GT:

I'm not sure. Probably. You know them coloreds.

How do you rip them off for the disc?

I was just going to go into my local grocery store and five finger it.
Thank God you went back to Vincent. Your gay Iori avatar was unbearable to look at.
Yeah, even I didn't want to see that avatar any more.

You fill out the form and tell them you bought it at Wal-Mart but the disk had a big, nasty crack down the middle. That's how I got that Oblivion DLC and the GRAW1 expansion for nothing.

I see. That's stupid on their part, but I'll keep that in mind if I'm ever not in the mood to be stealing.

The PSU is indeed high quality and--this is why it's worth it to me--it's modular.

I realize the E6750 is significantly cheaper, but I do want this computer to last several years at least, so I'd like to skimp as little as possible. =p

No graphics card because a) it's not essential immediately, so waiting on it leaves me more money for now and b) I have a 6800 that does a well enough job and will hold me over.

Thanks for the heads up on that 8800GT, but like I said to Moxio, I'm spending all the spare cash I have on this stuff, so a new graphics card is going to have to wait.

German homework tonight, and two classes worth of aerospace homework tomorrow. fuck.

Lesson learned (again) this week: if I don't start working on the weekend, I'll be completely fucked for the rest of the week.

I remember that one time I stole an OXM disc from Wal-Mart.

As I was leaving, some guy walked past me and accidentally droped a $10 bill. I did the ol' "step on it" trick, waited until he was long gone, and picked it up. It was almost as though God was rewarding me for stealing...

So I walk into Wal-Mart with an empty wallet, and walk out with an OXM disc and $10.

Here's an article on the Q6600, which I believe is the quad you're looking at:
http://techgage.com/article/intel_core_2_quad_q6600/1

It's a bit dated, but worth a read.

Imagine what would happen if you tried to steal a car. People would be dropping hundreds at your feet.

There Will Be Blood on Friday confirmed. Can't wait, DD-L is that $$$$y.

I saw that Cloverfield is only 1h 24m long. TWBB is almost twice as long at 2h 38m. I guess that's probably good on both counts.
I want a Q6600 so bad, but I should really be trying to upgrade my GFX card (and mobo to go along with that).
PC gaming is for dorks.

There Will Be Blood runs on the long side. If they had cut out the last 20-30 minutes the movie would have been so much better.
PC gaming is for dorks.
It definitely is.

I use my PC for video/graphics editing. I want a new GFX card to have my Vista rating to go up and to be able to run Aero better (I'm at the bare minimum of running it).

I can't wait to see There Will Be Blood. :bouncy:

I'd be interested to hear your opinions on the movie, especially the ending. Though, I kinda already have an idea what you're going to say based on your opinions of No Country.

 He'd love it.

He'd probably say it should be cut by the last hour.

If you hated the last 20 minutes it, the law of opposites dictate that I'll love them.

I think this is the best trailer I've seen in recent memory.

Unfortunately, youtube doesn't hold a candle to watching it on a nice big screen. I'm pissed I didn't jump on the chance to see it when it was around here.

I should ask for a list of your favorite movies so I know what to avoid.

I am with you Mojimbo. I will be buying that Oasis pack. That is something I will have fun playing every way possible.

Also where did you find out the shit that is in the pipeline? I would love to know what all is on the way.

I'm gonna have to watch that trailer when I get home.
It should.

You thinking about building a new PC?
No.

When I built my last PC, I was on a budget so I used components from my old PC.

So, as it is right now, I'm running 1GB PC3200 RAM and a ATi 9600PRO (AGP). I had to get a Micro ATX mobo that would run that RAM and card and still let me use my Core 2 Duo.

Now, I'm looking to upgrade my RAM and video card (w/ PCI x16), so in order to do that I need a new mobo. It's going to be like building a new PC.
