I would love to see him sell it specifically for this reason. You know The Nose has been playing the long con and would probably lose his shit. Now—that—would be interesting.
That would be great. You know a divorce from Stephanie would soon come after the sale of the company.

You really think Vince would sell his company to anyone? He's not Ted Turner.

And Stephanie would kill him. Take her performance on Monday's RAW, mecha-zilla it, and then multiply it by infinity.

Although it would be pretty funny that HHH married her and didn't get the company. No chance, that's what you gots.

Read something a little while ago that he was probably almost done as a wrestler.  No point in calling him Tensai at the announce table

Re: the "Vince isn't Ted Turner" thing - Ted wouldn't have sold WCW. He felt a strong loyalty to the company since wrestling was one of The few things keeping TBS afloat in the early days. By the time Vince bought it, it was out of Turner's hands. The Time Warner thing killed their TV, which made the company not nearly as valuable as it once was. I'm sure if Turner was still in charge he would have kept it on the air, even if it was majority restructured.

WWE on being prepared for WM30 on the Network:

WWE issued the followung statement:

"Notwithstanding the overwhelmingly positive response to WWE Network, we want to ensure subscribers have the highest-quality experience watching WrestleMania 30 and all our programming, and thus have put in place significant quality assurances. These steps include increased capacity to handle high volumes of transactions, logins, and concurrent live streams, daily 'stress' testing of all systems over an extended period, and the addition of technology experts to review our plan and procedures. We're confident that we'll be ready on Sunday, April 6."
Believe it when I see it. Everyone always says they're prepared for traffic. It's rarely the case.

I predict that on Wresltemania Weekend they'll shut down all of the on-demand content and will only be airing the live stream.

It might help, but I still think it's more likely than not many of us will be switching over to our PCs at the half-way point.

I imagine they'll have a good test run with the Hall of Fame ceremony. If that crashes they'll probably have more servers on standby to rent if need be. No other company in the world makes its money from PPV like the WWE and the company has gone out of its way - even with lament from its shareholders - to drag itself into the future.

Even when they first debuted the HD set people were complaining about what a waste of money it was but the company made it work. I have no doubt that unlike the precedent set by Ring of Honor and other iPPV companies Vince will be damned sure his ship sails right and shows everyone how its done.

When they got to the part asking if she supports the troops I lost it since I saw that one coming.
The fucking horns and "RAPADOOOOOO" make me lose it.

There's no way of predicting what the bandwidth will be like on WM Sunday, since I suspect there will be a large number of signups day of (i.e., how people are accustomed to ordering PPVs). Kane is right, you can't really predict what it's going to be like, and "stress tests" don't mean a thing. I have a ton of sympathy for them in this case, and when the stream craps out, I'm not going to be disappointed or outraged or whathaveyou.

I'm glad the WWE App on my tablet sent me a reminder to watch Total fucking Divas tonight. Otherwise, I would've forgotten.
I'm kinda confused as to why Total Divas isn't on the WWE Network App... I guess it has something to do with rights issues, but they were able to get Raw, Smackdown, Main Event and Superstars on there.

The other day I disagreed with someone that WWE wasn't building enough upper card talent.

I still disagree with that, but lord a'mighty their lower-to-mid card is anemic as fuck. Caught a moment of WM27 earlier on th' network.

The Corre (!) was on WM. Barrett, Slater, Ezekiel Jackson and Justin Gabriel. Four dudes who have been employed for 4-5+ years and in WWE that long. Four dudes who have contributed a collective nothing to the product. Four dudes who, if they disappeared tomorrow, you'd never notice them having left. When was the last time Jackson was on TV? (And I like him, for what that's worth.)

WWE has 150,000 hours of original programming every week, and they haven't done a bloody thing with those dudes in 4 years. Maybe it's their fault, but it can't be 100% their fault.

I happened to catch a bit of WM 27 on the live stream today. I guess I blocked it out of my mind because it was so terrible, but I had completely forgotten about Cole's stupid glass announcing booth. I actually caught a glance of it during Taker/HHH, and wondered what the fuck it was before remembering.

I like the idea of them teasing Bryan with Batista/Orton interactions. I think smart money for them (for the sake of this angle and to save the Wrestlemania XXX main event from being a total flop) would be to add not only Bryan to the match, but Triple H enters himself into the match -- because he only showcases himself with other immortals, or something like that.

Evolution vs. Bryan? God, I hate fantasy booking. Now I know this will never happen.
fuck !

I find it hard to give a shit about a match when the participants in the match themselves don't even show up on TV to promote it.

Oh, man. I laughed way too hard at Goldust trying to dance with Cody before his match against Fandango.

Jim Cornette did an Ask Me Anything on reddit, and it is definitely worth your time to read it. Some highlights:

If you could give Jim herd and Vince Russo positive credit for anything what would it be? Hopefully dying soon

Have you spoken with Ed Ferrara since his “Oklahoma” character? I remember you warned that you would beat the shit out of him after that happened. I saw him in Nashville in 2002–I had promised the promoter I wouldn’t punch him, but I didn’t promise I wouldn’t try to get HIM to punch ME first–I told him what I thought of him for doing that to JR and I spit in his face in front of 30 witnesses, and the gutless pussy did nothing. That’s what he deserved for making fun of a near career-ending disability suffered by a guy who has more talent in his finger than Ferrara in his whole body, he should have never been allowed in our business in the first place. If anyone sees him, tell him Jim Cornette STILL says he’s a gutless sack of shit.

What was the deal with Colt Cabana? What did/do you not see in him? Colt is a fine mid-card wrestler, an average look and an oK at best promo, he was perfect for WWE and I have to assume he pissed someone off there–he was NOT a fit for ROH as we were trying to present an athletic, serious, credible style of pro wrestling and funny doesn’t draw money. We didn’t offer him a contract because he didn’t fit those plans, and he has made a big deal out of it, we never said this publicly until he made it an issue-personally, I don’t think his comedy is funny and I don’t think anyone trying to make a career in pro wrestling should make fun of it at the same time, a la his bullshit “$5 wrestling” with the asshole who runs Highspots. I have no use for that type of horseshit–

Describe Vince Russo in 10 words or less. Asshole Dipshit Cocksucker Motherfucker Prick Crook Conman Blithering Idiot Christian

Why does Kevin Steen hate you so much? Because I got him a raise, a contract renewal, Visa paid for, a 9 month undefeated run with the World Title and tons of TV time, even after he refused to lose weight to get the spot, so you tell me–

Why do you always seem so pissed off? I’m actually happy most of the time unless I’m talking about modern pro wrestling–plus, people like me pissed off better and quote/post/retweet/youtube me knocking people more than me praising people

Have you been to WWE’s new performance center/NXT arena yet? What are your thoughts of it since you were the front runner of WWE’s developmental program. Have not been to the Center, it’s a great idea/concept but nothing can replace working in front of real fans who bought tickets at shows large or small–

Your opinion on WWE letting Chris Benoit uncensored on the Network? He was a great talent, a wonderful friend and a fine human being who for some reason or combination of reasons went insane and did horrible, unforgiveable things in the last two days of his life–you can’t erase him from history, but if anyone would confront it we might learn something to prevent it from happening again.

Did you ever have any kayfabe close calls in the 80′s? Like, did you ever accidentally walk into the same gas station as the Rock And Rolls and have to start brawling? I actually took my wife to the amusement park in Charlotte on a rare day off, and suddenly found myself in line behind Ricky & Robert on the “Win a Date with the R&R Express” deal at one of the rides–we slipped out the “in” line and left the park. If we had been seen, R&R woud have had to beat me up for real in public or we would have all been fired–as it should be today.

Craziest backstage incident--Shawn Michaels running his dicklicker at Bret Hart and getting snatched baldheaded for it--Shawn couldn't whip Bret if Bret was asleep in a straightjacket--

In your opinion, what was the worst booking decision ever made which actually ended up on TV? The Brawl for All tied with Austin hugging McMahon at WM17 that led to the collapse of the entire business

^^ I'm shocked and appalled that Sinbad from F4W Online didn't ask Cornette how big Batista's dick was.

TNA will be spending $300,000 to run three shows at the famed Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City this coming June, July and August. This was described as an "insane" move by TNA to spend that much money. The $300,000 is for the building rental and production work.

One TNA source theorized that this TNA is trying to impress Spike TV, which is located in New York City, as the two sides still haven't reached a new agreement on their TV deal. It's believed that TNA negotiated the deal with Hammerstein and Spike wasn't involved so TNA is likely paying the full bill here.
So in other words, expect more talent cuts. Because they hope Spike TV won't get WWE's programming deal and stick with them. Still, that's one heck of a gamble considering that they have to be losing some money right now especially on house shows.

Doing three shows in one location? I know it's New York, but they can't sell out Impact or their PPVs. I really hope it works out for them, but that move seems borderline suicidal at this point.

300,000.  So by the time those shows roll around the roster will be down to Gunner, Zema Ion, Robbie E, Magnus, and Rockstar Spud.

Bet they bring in some ECW guys for 250 dollars again too.  Bet this also has something to do with the Bully Ray face turn.

They're probably mad they didn't get to give Daniels another Feast or Fired case.

I guess I'm in the minority, but enough of Cornette already. Guy wants to keep kayfabe to the point of attacking people in public? Yeah, OK. It's 2014.

Oh, and Cabana seems to be doing pretty well for himself.

I'm along this line of thought as well. Cornette may be the most bitter man in wrestling and someone who hold grudges as long as he does with the intensity he does is just not appealing to watch or listen to.

Bad Influence to PWG. Por favor. One of the very first indie matches I saw was Christopher Daniels versus The Suicide Kid from All-Pro Wrestling from somewhere around 1998. Seems like it would be a little bit of a homecoming for Daniels to return to California (even if just for a show every month or two for half a year).

Cornette for me is in the same book as WARRIOR; they both act like angry 12 year olds and need to grow up. However, a lot of what they say, once you get past the anger and hatred, is true. They are the opposite of Hogan, who acts like an adult usually, but most of what he says is a complete lie.

WWE is offering a 2nd week-long free trial for people who already had a trial.
I wonder if its struggling or do they simply want to stress test more?

I've read they need a cool million subscribers in NA to break even each month... I hope its going well. I would really hate to see it fail (and go away) as I've really enjoyed the hell out of it.
