I hate fucking paypal.

of your payment from the seller.

I bought a glow in the dark skin for a 360 controller. It came from Hong Kong, it doesn't glow in the dark. I tired to contact the seller but in the middle of that process ebay removed all of his listing but yet I'm the bad guy.

So they want me to spend $7 to ship it back, and still theres only a chance that I could get my money back.
It was nice and tasty. :D
Good to hear. :applause:

CitizenB, that's a change in their verbiage since I last saw a Paypal dispute email. Looks like they're trying to cover their asses for "we can't get money from a stone". I wish you luck in trying to get that worked out.

I'm just going to file a dispute with my CC company tell then that I use paypal all the time, and I have no idea where that charge came from. Its a little dishonest but so was the seller. I paid extra for a glow in the dark skin. I could of gotten a plain silicon skin for $3.

don't blame paypal for covering their asses, totally blame the douchmonger in hong kong that sent you the wrong shit.

only thing i ever ordered from hong kong came from play-asia or lik-sang. and even then, i was hesitant to deal with them, because of the possibility of gettings screwed.

you probably have the right idea though, disputing the charge instead of going to the paypal route. though you may want to go with "didn't receive the item I ordered" which is the truth, in a manner of speaking. ;)

Filing a dispute for an unauthorized charge with your CC from a PayPal payment is probably going to piss PayPal off worse than anything you can do.

I would go to my CC as well, but just be honest. CCs are very very consumer friendly. (Although I hear some don't allow chargebacks from PP payments.) PayPal will still probably be pissed, but I'm pretty sure an unauthorized charge complaint is something they get especially lathered up over.

That's a touchy area to go into, because they'll go to Paypal, and Paypal will happily show them the transaction information.

Also, that's the kind of thing that Paypal could shut your account down for, thinking someone hacked into it.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY BOYFRIEND.

He went to see a movie this weekend. He saw....
EPIC MOVIE!!!!

Why does he always have to see the worst movies. He took me to see Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector, The Wild, Night at the Museum, and I'm sure there's other crap he's made me see that I can't remember. The difference is I would NOT pay money to see this movie under ANY circumstances! He claims that "he wanted to see a movie and it was starting right at that time." I don't care!! He said it was terrible but "had its moments."

Oh, and my desire to see every Uwe Boll movie is different. At least you KNOW his movies will be bad, yet in a funny way.
Hmmm... wonder if some sort of GB/DS player will hit for the Wii?
I wouldn't think so. VC and all. But I don't even know if the Wii has any sort of expansion ports or not. I guess it could be USB ... :whistle2:k

I can't wait for 3 hours from now. Army of Anyone is headlining the Norva tonight in Norfolk. Hurt opens before Army of Anyone along with 2 "special guests"

Even more so, I can't wait for April 10th, VNV Nation is playing the Norva! Closest they've ever come to this area is DC. I so can't wait for that! The opener is And One. I'll have to check some of their stuff out. As I've heard of them, but never really heard anything by them

Hope I get my FF: Chronicles today, even though I started FFX yesterday and in the process of going through it now. Entertaining.

Moxio - I sent out that Rogue Galaxy demo. Even though I wasn't much into the gameplay, I might have to pick it up because the story is supposed to be amazing. It is supposedly the "...last great RPG for PS2" according to PSM.

PSM cannot be trusted, though they did give Shadow Hearts 2 a perfect score and I'll always respect them for that. I'd like to hear some opinions of CAGs before I get it. If the gameplay is like Kingdom Hearts as I've heard- with the terrible camera included- I want nothing to do with it. I don't care how the story is, if the gameplay is that frustrating, it's not worth my time. Even moreso now since I've become more jaded... Way back when I'd play and complete every RPG I got, even shit like SaGa Frontier 2. Now I just stopped playing in the middle of Contact and FF12 because I didn't want to waste my time.
I wouldn't think so. VC and all.
I was thinking the same thing. Probably depends on how well the VC does vs. how well they think a hardware player would do (and to what extent they think it would hurt any potential VC GBA releases.)

I wonder if DS games would work using the remote? I think it would be more difficult than using a stylus. Plus a TV screen is more or less the same dimensions as one of the DS screens, so I guess they'd have to have bars on either side. Or maybe they could sit side by side on a widescreen TV. (But then games where you move up and down between the screens would be very difficult/impossible - like Yoshi's DS.)

But they currently aren't placing GBA type games on the VC... seemingly only console games are showing up on the VC. I think someone made a craptacular GBA adapter for the Wii already, but it was 3rd party USB if IIRC.

Edit:
The only reason I ask, is because if I were to get a Wii, I'd keep most of my GC library, but probably bail on the actual gamecube. Now that sort of makes getting a GB player useless, if that's the case... but I'd really like the ability to play some of the GBA games on the TV... I don't know how hard Gunstar is, but the last boss on Metal Slug owns my ass on a regular basis. I just want to finish that damn game!

True, I don't know I guess I'm going to have to eat this transaction so to speak. Well the item location wasn't in Hong Kong or I wouldn't have bought it. Thats sorta asking for trouble right there. Most of the bootleg movies, and games on ebay come from Hong Kong.

Thing of it was I bought the item. Then about a week later ebay emailed me and told me that the sellers listing has been pulled from ebay. I contaced the seller to make sure everything was good. They seller said "ebay revoked our credit card. If you made a purchase before January 22nd we have shipped your item."

I didn't think anything of it. I got my item and it didn't worked I emailed the seller he never answered so I filed a dispute not a claim. The seller escalted it to a claim to let paypal decide. Then right before the seller deadline to respond he said I could simply return it. But that would cost me $7. If he was in the states it wouldn't be a problem. It would only be $2 at most.

I do know that no matter what business when you file a dispute with. It costs the business getting disputed against $25.

I don't know man, I guess I just have to suck it up.

You might be a redneck and if you git-R-done heeere's your sign.

There ya go, now can I get as much money as those 3 guys do to say the same fuckin thing?

Comedy Central is definetly on the decline, Sarah Silverman has her own show now too.

I DVR every new one, so I'll catch it eventually. Grabbed Colbert last week when O'Reilly was on, but it was fairly weak.

My old man bones don't like the weather up here in psuedo-new england (NY).

I could totally move there too as soon as I graduate, since accountants are needed everywhere. And my dad has stated, since visiting there for a work trip (my mom joined him as a mini-vacation for her), that he would like to retire there. I hear homes aren't that expensive either.

Guam annoys the hell out of me, but the one thing that does not annoy me one bit is the daily 80-degree weather.

Shit, this assignment is so lame.

We have to stay somewhere for an hour and write a feature story on it.

Since I didn't think anyone else would go here, I'm in the library's computer lab. I got some decent stuff, but I'm just bored out of my mind.

I figure the same for my parents. My parents seem amenable to the idea... I just need to get a job out there... Can't start looking for another 476 days though... and even then, I'm not sure a lot of steady/solid IT jobs are out in that area.

Isn't the Guam weather humid as all get out? I want Arizona cause it's dry as fuck.

I'm stunned, and for once in my life, have nothing to say.

Best Buy called today and told me they couldn't replace my TV; I ended up going from a 26" Aquos to a 32" Samsung for the low low price of nothin'. Huzzah.

What part? I've been trying unsuccessfully for a few years to convince my parents to move/retire to Paradise Valley/Scottsdale.

I've been thinking of moving somewhere about this time next year. If I want to go to school somewhere else, which by then I should have the credits to transfer somewhere if not earlier, I can apply and then with UPS and can just ask for a transfer to the closest center so I will have work where ever I go as long as I am with them. Thinking of giving Toronto a go if possible, but I think transferring to a college out of the country mght be a bit much.

UofT is one of the biggest and most impersonal colleges on earth. From most, I've heard they dont recommend it.
Gears of War is pretty easy when you play insane co-op. They really should have offered achievements for beating each mode by yourself.
I'll definitely agree to that. I thought the single player on casual was harder than co-op on hardcore. Even with the fact that my buddy who I beat it with is an idiot, it was still easier. When I say idiot, I mean he managed to blow himself up with the Hammer of Dawn on multiple occassions. A feat I didn't think was humanly possible.

I've said for years that it made sense to have rewards go along with achievement points....

From Gamespot.

"The Web site claims to have gotten hold of 'a partially torn document' that gives information on an upcoming achievements-for-rewards program. According to the blog post, Microsoft has teamed up with some sponsors that would give a limited number of real-world prizes for in-game goals. The program will be free, requiring registration only, and will launch next month, according to the blog. "

This is still just a rumor with absolutely no credibility behind it. But I think we'll still see this eventually.

Let me know if you have any questions. UofT is a good school, but way too big. Ryerson is ghetto as hell (minus architecture/journalism), and York is a joke (minus law school). I would recommend UWO or McMaster as good all-around schools. Be warned though, friends of mine who have gone to state schools in the US have complained it is harder here.

Toronto is a great city. Extremely diverse.
