The ShOTT heard 'round the world

Got my From the Cliffs CD today. But I'm disappointed it doesn''t have We're Here on it. Also, it has some production issues. especially on Trains to Brazil. The drums are just way too much. But things like that happen on first EP's. But you can really hear a Radiohead influence in Go Away.
Man, I just read the new SSBM will essentially use a standard controller setup. that's disappointing. Understandable but disappointing.
Depends on who you ask. Some games just don't need innovative controller setup. I'm of the opinion SSMB and other fighting games are probably better served with a classic controller scheme. I'd think metal slug falls into that category as well. I know for one I'm ecstatic that they've done this... what Nintendo and developers should do, if you ask me, is put both a normal and an innovative scheme into all games where it makes sense (read: LoZ: TP)... much like MS:Anthology did.

5th page GET!
That's a lame essay prompt. Of course it was bad decisions. Of course I'm sure many of the girls and emos in your class will try to be romantic and say it's fate.
I agree. I mean, I suppose you could argue on the side of bad luck/fate/fortune, but the evidence for just plain shitty decisions and not thinking before doing whatever they did is much, much stronger.

So is that like screaming "get", or is it G-E-T, and furthermore, how/why did it start?

I'm so confused! And been wanting to know this forever.
Conditional Altruist? That screams of Dawkins, provided the condition is perceived genetic relatedness to oneself.
Not my words.

Jackson Portwood wrote the song. Great lyrics too. Still one of my favorites, ever.

It's probably out of date, as the band is currently on hiatus, I believe, but if you like modern rock type stuff, check it out. I highly recommend them.

As far as Tiph stated, and I consider him to be the source on the subjects of GETs, a GET is the first post on a page, and going by his rules, it's only when you're viewing 50 posts per page. However people have been known to do it for anything from 20 on up.

I think it's just capitalized normally to emphasize the fact that the post was a page get. However, being a computer programmer/nerd, I know a bit about HTTP, so in my head I always think of it as sending a GET request to the webserver for a new page.

The GET meme stems from 4chon. When the post count of the website would reach a large, even number, such as one million, two million ~ fourteen million, the post that was the millionth or whatever post was considered "GET". They have 1-18M (M for million) GET, as well as GETs like 8,675,309GET, 7,77,777GET, etc.

So, I thought of GET once when I got the first post on the top of the page and posted "GET". Lionheart and a couple others latched onto it, so now a few of us post "GET" when we're the top poster on the page.

And of course, it only applies to 50 posts per page, 'cause anything else is for wusses. ;)

Just scheduled my classes for next quarter (yay honors priority!):

Intermediate financial accounting
Business administration something or other required class
Honors intro to physical anthropology (ratemyprofessor.com says the professor is incredibly easy, and I needed a GEC honors class)
Writing about current economic issues (GEC second writing course, taking it with the professor I had last year for honors macro and he was stupidly easy)
Hip-hop dance class

NO CLASSES ON FRIDAYS AND MY EARLIEST CLASS IS AT 10:30 EVERY DAY! THANK YOU GOD!

I do 20.
Boo. I thought there might be a fellow Dawkins fan in our midst. He coined the word MEME. Its true. Look it up.
He's into trannies, too.

I also do 20 posts a page. It's the default so I'm used to it.

EDIT: The president replied. He tried to play like he was stupid or something. He may well be but I think he was bullshitting on some parts. Oh well, at least he doesn't seem to be mad on paper.

24 is just outrageously stupid. It's getting into "Leia is your sister" territory. They can't setup anything more to create a false sense of drama and suspense.

But it's still worth watching just for the laugh.
Yeah, they are pretty bad. The Select shirt was alright, but not "$25 alright".
I mean 1 valentine's day shirt would've been okay, but they just wasted this entire week on that crap.

Is there a schedule for their sales or do they just do them randomly?
20 here.

Did you see the new threadless shirts today zew? Yech.
Why does everyone like threadless so much? Bustedtees are so much more clever and worth your money...
Why does everyone like threadless so much? Bustedtees are so much more clever and worth your money...
Bustedtees is okay since they use American Apparel shirts, but their designs aren't that great. The only one that caught my eye was the Amish one.
A shirt that read, "I penetrated a shark vagina with my human penis and all I got was this lousy t-shirt," would be worht $25. Right!?!?
Sure, think of it as lifetime birth control.
And Donald Sutherland not being Jack's Father is a crime against television.
24 in general has become a crime against television. Its sad to see how far this show has fallen. The ratings pandering has gotten so incredibly predictable.

Edit- let's not forget 24's version of the red shirts...
Why does everyone like threadless so much? Bustedtees are so much more clever and worth your money...
I just looked at the site. It's terrible. It's just a bunch of slogan shirts (which I hate). I don't think think threadless is hot shit (most of the time they're terrible), but sometimes they come out with some pretty artistic stuff and very few people buy from them around here. Which means I likely won't see someone wearing the same shirt I own. Plus it's usually cheaper to buy from there, instead of going to the mall.

You're lucky. I can't turn around without finding at least one person with a threadless shirt.
No one saw this when it was the 93rd post in this thread?
...bummer

still, hilarious
Sorry, I was in class when you posted it, and I don't really look at previous pages of the OTT that I've missed. :(
Oh come'on. Don't tell me you didn't get that joke. Sealab!
Your question or my reply? Cause I never saw sealab past season 1 so if my joke was in it, it wasn't me stealing it from there.

I was waiting for the barrage of jokes to follow last OTT when Subby started talking about how many times per week he ate "fish".

There may have been one in there, I'm not sure, but any overtures were slightly subtle and overlooked in case they were meant as such.

Do the 2 month Xbox Live trial cards expire? I'm pretty sure in the past they'd still be good even after the expiration date (or is that just the real sub cards?), but does anyone know if that's still the case? I have one that is 2+ years old.

It should say on there, if not call the #

yeah, they do. Before I bought the kit, I not only tried to use one from my Halo 2 pack but HumanSnatcher sent me one, neither of which worked.

Cool. Thanks for the info. (Even though it was the wrong answer ;) )
