It should be forwarded to you, but that often slows things way down. Unless you moved so long ago that stuff is no longer forwarded? I believe 1st class mail is forwarded for quite a while though. This also assumes you filled out the form with the USPS to have your address changed.
An even more fun possibility is that they screwed up and haven't actually closed your account.
Ya, I didn't have the mail forwarded due to the fact the only piece of mail I received there was the cable bill (and after 1 cable bill I switched it to the online bill, so I didn't receive any mail for the 6 months I lived there). The reason is basically that I live (and have lived) on-campus as a staff person for my university for 4 years. For part of this year, I was moved to a location that was leased by the university until I could be moved back on campus. So the rest of my mail went through the university, but I had to have the bill mailed to the physical address where the cable was.
They asked me for a new address to send the check, and they said it'd be out in 5 days, but it's been about a month. I just checked my online account and it says I was credited the amount, but just this week.
I'm probably going to call them Friday (I work 8-5:15 M-TH this week, and they're customer service is only open 8:30-4:30), and hopefully they'll send a new check out.
