We appreciate you helping keep this thread up to date. The sales change virtually every day so no one person has the time to update them all. If you notice a game is no longer on sale, feel free to delete its line from the sale list. Of course, if you see a game is on sale, add it to the list. Make sure your changes match the thread's format! For example, every game that's on sale is part of an unordered list. When adding a game to the list, copy an existing line and update the link, title, and prices. That way, the format stays correct. Do not list percentages off! We list the original price and the sale price here. If you have any suggestions for major changes to the post/thread, PM me (EastX) about them.

Several multiplayer Steam games are available in 2-packs or 4-packs. These packs offer a discount over buying multiple copies of a game separately. We also maintain group buy trade threads for several games, so please use those threads if you're interested in setting up a group buy.

There are several free games and mods on Steam. These are a few choice ones; you can find a full list here. Note that free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.

What is a CD key and where can I find it?

The CD Key is a serial number with a combination of 13, 18, or 25 letters and numbers - it can be found on a sticker inside your game's case or printed on the game's quick reference card.
The CD Key acts as your proof of purchase for the game - Steam Support may ask for it if you need to establish your ownership of an account. It is recommended that you keep your CD Key in a safe place to ensure the security of your account.

Opposing Force CD-keys cannot be registered through Steam. Opposing Force was included in a retail Half-Life package. The Half-Life CD-key included in the package will unlock all of the games in that package, including Opposing Force.
Note: Only the retail games listed above can be registered through Steam. No other retail games can be registered and downloaded using Steam.

I got the Frozenbyte Collection: Shadowgrounds, Shadowgrounds Survivor, Trine. Happy to trade if anyone is interested; PM me - looking for adventure games (e.g. Telltale series) and Portal 2. Has Sam and Max complete ever been lower than this?

I think $12.xx is the lowest it's gotten for all three seasons. It's a good amount of gaming and at a great price. If you have any interest, I recommend jumping on board.
 
If anyone plans to buy the Fable Collection @ $19.99, don't. Buy each one seperately (Fable III, then the DLC pack, then Fable: The Lost Chapters)...you'll save 31 cents when you do. Not a whole lot but remember, this is CAG :lol:
 
I'm fairly certain that you're only meant to get one free gift, the one earned by completing the objective of checking your inventory. Yes, some people have reported getting more than one, but I see nothing indicating that that's supposed to happen. My wife and I both got the 50% off coupon, and I'm going to fire up Orcs Must Die! to see what that one nets me.

I was worried at first with the Inventory shenanigans. For a long while, the game I bought to gift my brother this Christmas was missing from the category. It's still not showing, but its vacant place in the list is selectable and the button to send it as a gift works properly.

This is a clear indicator that we're supposed to get 2 gifts: "Achievement: simply go to your Steam Inventory and see what you got, then we give you something else just for looking for that."

The reason people are getting 1 or no gifts is because it's glitching.
 
I'm so tempted on getting SSFIV AE on PC even though I own it on the 360 and PS3. I'd love something to take with me on the go despite even owning SSFIV on the 3DS also.
 
For those of you playing Bunch of Heroes and trying to get the holiday achievement, it's supposedly bugged. People on the Steam forums, and myself included, did not get the achievement and we clearly passed the 20th round. And getting there even on easy is really hard.

Decent twin-stick shooter nonetheless.
 
I love at how on the Steam forums there is about 10 topics about not getting their inventory items :lol: even though there is a sticky post saying that they are working on it.

Still have not gotten mine or even have a Steam tab show up. It's kinda annoying now :cry:

Atari has nothing of interest on steam, I own everything by Valve. Oh well, not looking a gift horse in the mouth but that's pretty funny

For what it's worth, I thought Ghostbusters was a pretty fun game. But yeah, not seeing much else interesting that Atari has to offer.

Other than Chronicles of Riddick, NWN 2 Plat, TDU 2 and The Witcher Enhanced there is not much else on Steam for Atari.
 
So far I've got 33% off of a Valve game and Left 4 Dead GOTY (For completing the Orcs achievement). Thought Bunch of Heroes would be an easy achievement as well...I can't do it single player and I haven't tried multiplayer yet, but it looks like it's no use anyway.

Can't wait for tomorrow's sales!

The Orcs Must Die achievement is glitching for me and apparently according to the forums a bunch of other people. I got the achievement, it registers on the gift page total number objectives, I just didn't get an actual gift or coal.

Defense Grid is onsale as is all the DLC including the newest Portal themed You Monster DLC for 2.50 or half off. The newest wasnt on sale the other day when it released.

That's disappointing about the controller support. I might have gotten it if they'd added support.
 
This is probably the worst state I've ever seen the Steam site/servers in, in the 2-3 years I've been using it. Usually things level out after a hour or two, but damn... a ton of people are still having problems. I can't even load my own inventory properly and every other page I load on the store is a 503 error. Hope this doesn't set the tone for the rest of the sale.
 
I bought Bunch of Heroes. It's like a really shitty version of Nation Red.

In addition, I played for an hour to get to level 20 but didn't get the glitched achievement. I want that 60 minutes of my life back.
 
Looks like it's all borked. Just got the Orcs Must Die achievement but nothing new in my inventory. My wife's account has no gifts... I bought Bunch of Heroes hoping it'll be good for co-op but won't bother playing until the glitch is sorted.

At first I thought that didn't sound bad at all considering a couple of their games on are on my wishlist. Then I noticed it was 10% off. That's rough.

Is your copy the Anarchy Edition? Or Regular Edition?
Remember...if you have the Anarchy Edition, the Anarchy Edition has extra DLC (Sewers DLC and Authority Pack) that any Reg Ed doesn't have...

I bought Rage: Anarchy Ed from NewEgg for $20 last week and it arrived today.

Since you are the first person on here and the steam forums to say that you've got it, may I ask how you did it? Solo or Multiplayer? Difficulty Level? Did you die and respawn or stayed alive through the entire 20 waves? I really want to get this achievement over with.

I've only received a 25% off Valve coupon so far. I did the Achievement for Anomaly, but nothing so far from that. Before the end of this I'd be really happy to get a free game, any game. But I guess I can't really complain.
