We appreciate you helping keep this thread up to date. The sales change virtually every day so no one person has the time to update them all. If you notice a game is no longer on sale, feel free to delete its line from the sale list. Of course, if you see a game is on sale, add it to the list. Make sure your changes match the thread's format! For example, every game that's on sale is part of an unordered list. When adding a game to the list, copy an existing line and update the link, title, and prices. That way, the format stays correct. Do not list percentages off! We list the original price and the sale price here. If you have any suggestions for major changes to the post/thread, PM me (EastX) about them.

Several multiplayer Steam games are available in 2-packs or 4-packs. These packs offer a discount over buying multiple copies of a game separately. We also maintain group buy trade threads for several games, so please use those threads if you're interested in setting up a group buy.

There are several free games and mods on Steam. These are a few choice ones; you can find a full list here. Note that free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.

What is a CD key and where can I find it?

The CD Key is a serial number with a combination of 13, 18, or 25 letters and numbers - it can be found on a sticker inside your game's case or printed on the game's quick reference card.
The CD Key acts as your proof of purchase for the game - Steam Support may ask for it if you need to establish your ownership of an account. It is recommended that you keep your CD Key in a safe place to ensure the security of your account.

Opposing Force CD-keys cannot be registered through Steam. Opposing Force was included in a retail Half-Life package. The Half-Life CD-key included in the package will unlock all of the games in that package, including Opposing Force.
Note: Only the retail games listed above can be registered through Steam. No other retail games can be registered and downloaded using Steam.

Have the daily deals been overlapping with the previous days? I haven't been keeping track, but I thought I see a second timer underneath the daily deals.

Where are you seeing that Renegade Ops comes with the DLC?

It doesn't mention it at all on the Amazon page.

Nevermind -- saw on the Steam forums that anyone who purchased Renegade Ops before the DLC hit got it for free from Sega. If you already own Renegade Ops, check your downloadable content to see if its already there.

That's pretty awesome of them, its both the Coldstrike campaign and the characters. I was about to get the Amazon copy just for the DLC, as $3 is better than $7, but free is best of all.

I'm definitely not digging this winter competition... personally, the summer one was much better.

Its like these coupons weren't even thought out. Today I nabbed:

Hydrophobia -- 50% off... but its currently 75% off during the sale, so if I was interested, why wouldn't I just buy it now?

Like someone else said, you know most of these games are going to avoid deals until the coupons expire too.

I wish there was a way to just trash them from my inventory.
 
I can see some appeal to the coupons. Like I want to get the Spellforce games. Not exactly a popular title so not likely to be a daily deal, nor is it likely to be featured outside of the mega sales and they're half off, probably not getting cheaper. If I snag the 50 percent off Nordic Games coupons, instead of having to spend the 10 bucks this sale I can have the option to spend that 10 bucks on other stuff and have 3 months to get the Spellforce games at the same price anytime.

But yes, most of them are lame, or at least need reworked discounts.

My experience was quite different with payday. I played it for the achievement last night and I joined a random game with three other people. I didn't ask their ages but from voice they sounded like they were in their early to late 20s and were very helpful. The game has a lot to it for a noob who hasn't played a tutorial. I thought it was really fun and would easily recommend it.

Plus I want to see a happy ending for the ex-grin guys. They deserve some good news after bionic commando and their studio shutdown. The only negative is my fiancé is deathly afraid of clowns and the masks didn't make her appreciate it too much.

This is good news. I was gifted the game by my friend yesterday who bought a 4-pack. So 3 of my best steam friends have it now. I'm expecting a good time :)

There were like 4 or 5 servers when I purchased it about 2 years ago, played it a bit but I quickly lost interest. I can only assume the playerbase is really small or non-existent by this point.

Hey there, I just posted in my thread, there was a hiccup on the backend that took the product off sale briefly. It has been resolved and Renegade Ops is back up for sale at $2.99.

In order to make sure you've all got the opportunity to take advantage of this deal we're extending it through the end of tomorrow in addition to the other killer deals we'll be adding.

Just got Renegade Ops for $3 (thanks Amazon Rep!), Missing Link + DX:HR DLC Bundle for $4 and change, and might just bite on both Total War 2: Shogun and LOTR: War in the North.

And the world must be ending because my friends actually did a 4-pack. Got in on Payday.

Sometimes things fall outside of this as well where some copies of the game are steamworks and some are not.

That happens to use all, my friend. Particularly here.

For example, I'm not buying Arkham City at the amazing price of $25 because I know I won't play it until it gets a $10 deal. Thus, I hold back.

Ditto, but I did fanagling and ended up OK. I bought the Augmented edition for $60. Sold the onlive code for about $20 on ebay, activated the game on steam, and traded in the physical copy of the game to Amazon for $28.
