Welcome to the Steam Deal Thread V5! You can find link to past threads at the bottom of this post. Read post #2 of this thread for Steam FAQs and more.

This is a Wiki post. Please read this
We appreciate you helping keep this thread up to date. The sales change virtually every day so no one person has the time to update them all. If you notice a game is no longer on sale, feel free to delete its line from the sale list. Of course, if you see a game is on sale, add it to the list. Make sure your changes match the thread's format! For example, every game that's on sale is part of an unordered list. When adding a game to the list, copy an existing line and update the link, title, and prices. That way, the format stays correct. Do not list percentages off! We list the original price and the sale price here. If you have any suggestions for major changes to the post/thread, PM me (EastX) about them.
for instructions on updating the thread.

Preorder Deals - Updated 10/28
Group Buys - Updated 8/14

Several multiplayer Steam games are available in 2-packs or 4-packs. These packs offer a discount over buying multiple copies of a game separately. We also maintain group buy trade threads for several games, so please use those threads if you're interested in setting up a group buy.

Free Stuff - Updated 4/3

There are several free games and mods on Steam. These are a few choice ones; you can find a full list here. Note that free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.

Steam around CAG

If you are interested in joining the Steam CAG Community or participating in a trade or group buy with fellow Cheap Ass Gamers, please do so in the dedicated threads and not in the deal discussion thread. In the dedicated threads you will find CAGers with the same specialized interest who will be much quicker (and happier) to respond than in the Deals thread.

Steam Retail Key List

What is a CD key and where can I find it?

https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=7480-WUSF-3601

The CD Key is a serial number with a combination of 13, 18, or 25 letters and numbers - it can be found on a sticker inside your game's case or printed on the game's quick reference card.
The CD Key acts as your proof of purchase for the game - Steam Support may ask for it if you need to establish your ownership of an account. It is recommended that you keep your CD Key in a safe place to ensure the security of your account.
That sucks about the online with SFxT.

I'll never get to to this so here ya go for anyone:
Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War
IQ3I6-NHEL2-FLN0D
^That's a damn good game.
Question, if I have PS3 Fightsticks, can I use them on the PC? They connect through USB, so I'd imagine that even if they weren't as simple as plug and play, there may be a way still to connect them (perhaps through MotioninJoy?)

That may sway me into purchasing SFxT, though probably not if the online multiplayer hasn't been properly implemented. Part of me just doesn't want to pass up on a deal... I have a problem -__-
It depends on the stick. Some of them work while others have issues with certain USB chipsets. I know this is true in SFxT, not sure if it carries over to other games as well.

I can't believe I got this... it was posted 15 minutes ago and it still hadn't been used. That's like an all time record on CAG.

Really appreciate the code, pizza.
It's pretty bad, I keep thinking it's a setup for full price DLC. I leaning towards holding off, but I've been interested in this since it launched.
Fortunately the 2013 DLC is free.
Wait, is there something ebil about digital over the air television signals? Are they secretly embedding Facebooks feeds? Is that why I suddenly feel the urge to go poke someone after watching TV on my digital antenna?
>.> Yeah, there's rarely anything on when I want to watch it. Also my digital reception is too marginal to rely on TiVoing. I watch more non-US TV shows than US TV anyhow.
I can proclaim with righteous zeal to people on the internet I don't know and who have no way of verifying it that I do not have a Facebook account. My imaginary friend however is quite another matter. ;)
It's not for making a statement to others. It's about feeling the inner fire that only truly righteous zeal can deliver. It's a bit similar to that feeling you get when fasting for days for the sake of willpower/deprivation.
That's a little extreme. It's more like making an account at a place like greenmangaming or gog just to get the emails/coupon codes because one day you might actually want something from there. Don't even want the emails? use a fake google account. I have 12 (made during my initial purchases from the PSN store deals being different in every region). To each his/her own.
I use fake information so much, it's hard to remember which is my "real" name/birthday/address. =D Heck, half of my friends use one of my handles instead of my name.
Also, reading through the pages it took me quite awhile to realize asheskitty was asheskitty. We need announcements for these avatar changes!
bleh, sry. also grabbed shadows of vatican and war of the human tanks on desura.
cudnt help myself. im usually never on time for these things. :bouncy:

I'm glad the Desura stuff went. I was wondering if I'd have a hard time getting rid of them since people seem to usually want Steam.

Plus Desura doesn't sit there and grind everything to a halt for like 20 seconds (for those of us who don't have SSDs) when you activate a key and you don't need to be in the actual client to do it either.

Just for the record, this Dishonored DLC is awesome. I love it so, so much and I've just spent the evening playing about 4 of the challenges. The stealth levels are tight and well-focused, the acrobatics are brutally hard but fun, the freeze-time puzzles are fantastic.

It really takes the game and makes all those great individual pieces that you never dicked around with in the campaign fly.

Mine was plug'n'play (Chun Li stick). However, I remember reading somewhere that the older generations of fight stick had issues on the PC, but I remember MotionJoy being able to take care of it for the most part. If you can try testing out the stick on a different game before you buy SFxT.

Personally, I can't see myself buying this game when the online mode is gimped (not to mention the lack of support from Capcom). I'll wait for it another day, too bad UMvC isn't on Steam (why isn't it on Steam?).

Also, everyone should try out Chivalry. It has a steep learning curve and I'm still dying quite often, but I can't stop playing it. Some servers are laggy, which is really annoying in first person melee game. Feels like Battlefield: Medieval Times, but smaller in scope.

Okay so did some digging around in case anyone was interested.

From the MadCatz website:
The PS3 SFIV TE/SE FightStick and FightPad does not officially support the PC, but it should work with PCs that do not make use of a NVIDIA® chipset. If a workaround is discovered, we will post more information for you here.

It seems as if these fightsticks only work on UHCI - USB 1.1 Proprietary Intel Standard so people running on Nvidia/AMD chipsets won't be able to use their fightsticks without first purchasing a USB PCI card with the VIA chipset >_>

The 360 versions however have native plug and play capabilities due to XInput. Yay for deciding to buy PS3 fightsticks instead of 360...

Shuggy was gone before you posted the keys in this thread.

On a cheerier side, ever seen a beer pouring machine or a combination convenience store & bar? Last two 3 min videos here on NHK.

Japan is kind of nuts like that. I remember from when I was studying there in the late 90s the all you can drink places and the convenience stores that had booze in vending machines.
All gone. Enjoy to those who were able to get some of the keys.

These are the leftovers from a bunch of keys I posted on my Steam feed:
I don't seem to get your Steam feed, but I do seem to be replicating your steam library. In fact, before I started looking through the (already claimed by this point) codes, I was sure there would be nothing I hadn't already picked up.
Bought Velvet Assassin. Wanted to use the -90% off coupon on Death Rally but I own Alan Wake so it won't apply on top of the -15% discount I get :(
That really should have been fixed by now. #-o

I didn't mean to. I mean I did mean to but I didn't think the key worked. I added some keys on your comment over there. :dunce:

People keep complaining about it over and over again on you-know-where but they either haven't gone back to check or are ignoring it.

Social networking goes both ways. All these companies want to use it to promote themselves as free advertising and get others to promote for them but what they aren't getting is that the medium is meant for people to interact. If you're just going to throw something out there and never bother to read or respond to any sort of feedback you might as well just post an ad somewhere and call it good.

Even if I give them the benefit of the doubt that they are working on it and maybe Valve has been notified and is the hold up they really should have communicated that if it were the case.

The whole thing just reeks of some half assed lazy promotion that they don't really give a shit about and it's also a slap in the face to people who have supported them in the past by buying their games because we are the ones who get penalized with this mistake that no one cares to look into.

The fix seems simple enough. Offer people a 75% coupon* that they can use in case they have the extra 15% discount that breaks the whole thing.

*Assuming the percentages add, which I guess they do as it's the only way to cause the negative value problem.

It wouldn't add, it would instead apply one then the other. Not sure on the exact percentage that would make it 90% off, but it'd have to be a second coupon somewhere between 85% and 90% to get there.

That's exactly why I think that it should have been fixed by now. ;)

I picked up SxT. I'm a casual fighting fan...I hope the single player is fun!

I've only been playing Dark Souls, Borderlands 2, and Diablo 3 lately. Gonna try and get more active in this thread...I'm a fairly new PC gamer (since July when I built my desktop) and can't wait for the Xmas sales so I can beef up my PC library on the cheap :D

I remember talk here a while ago about someone who had a free IGN Prime account. Apparently, I have one too, and it has been like this since I signed up in December of last year for King Arthur. It says "unknown" in place of my subscription status, and I haven't been getting billed. Is it commonplace for IGN to make such oversights? I mean, doesn't it normally cost a good sum per month for their Prime benefits?

Anyway, Hamlet is the free IGN game of the month. If any of you guys signed up for a trial and are still getting the e-mails, perhaps you should check to see if you somehow have free Prime forever as well.

That Death Rally coupon is tradeable, so I got a buddy of mine who doesn't have the loyalty discount to help me out. Maybe someone in the trading thread would be willing to facilitate.

Or you could always sit tight and wait for it to get fixed.

Or you could just make another account, buy it, and gift it to your main account. Pretty simple process.

I'm not sure that it's a good idea to have multiple Steam accounts with the same billing details.

I signed up when you did, and mine lasted for longer than it should have (maybe 2 months?), but as far as I know it no longer works for me.

Where are you getting your info?
Can I use multiple Steam accounts on one computer?

Yes, you can access different Steam accounts from one computer. However, you may only access one account at a time.
The accounts will share the core files for any games the accounts have in common, but each account will maintain its own custom content and configuration files.
