Welcome to the Steam Deal Thread V6! You can find link to past threads at the bottom of this post. Read post #2 of this thread for Steam FAQs and more.

With the V6 Thread, we're trying a slight formatting change. We used to list every possible Steam deal in the OP, but they change too frequently for anyone to keep up with (even in the Wiki format). So now, we'll leave regular minor sales out of the OP. This post will keep track of major sales (Winter sale, etc.), Steam deals available through other sellers (like Amazon), Preorder deals, and Group Buys.

I would still greatly appreciate help from you folks at home in keeping this smaller-scale OP up-to-date. This is a Wiki post so anyone can contribute. Wiki instructions:
Thanks for your help! If you notice a sale has ended, feel free to delete its line from the sale list. Of course, if you see something does need to be added, then kindly add it to the list.

Make sure your changes match the thread's format! For example, every game that's on sale is part of an unordered list. When adding a game to the list, copy an existing line and update the link, title, and prices. That way, the format stays correct. Do not list percentages off! We list the original price and the sale price here. If you have any suggestions for major changes to the post/thread, PM me (EastX) about them.

Several multiplayer Steam games are available in 2-packs or 4-packs. These packs offer a discount over buying multiple copies of a game separately. We also maintain group buy trade threads for several games, so please use those threads if you're interested in setting up a group buy.


Free Stuff - List needs updating with F2P games!
There are several free games and mods on Steam. These are a few choice ones; you can find a full list here. Note that free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.

If you are interested in joining the Steam CAG Community or participating in a trade or group buy with fellow Cheap Ass Gamers, please do so in the dedicated threads and not in the deal discussion thread. In the dedicated threads you will find CAGers with the same specialized interest who will be much quicker (and happier) to respond than in the Deals thread.

The CD Key is a serial number with a combination of 13, 18, or 25 letters and numbers - it can be found on a sticker inside your game's case or printed on the game's quick reference card. The CD Key acts as your proof of purchase for the game - Steam Support may ask for it if you need to establish your ownership of an account. It is recommended that you keep your CD Key in a safe place to ensure the security of your account.

Doom Rails is a goofy game but it's fun especially in multiplayer. Single player can be fun too but there's just something about being a monkey or a clown in a mining car and smashing into your buddy's mining car. Easily worth the 74 cents.

If that actually goes in a daily deal, I will need to go to the medic so he can confirm the time of death of the steam sales.

Hah ! now that would be a real slap in the face to have that game go on sale with Doom but not the other Quake games with Quake.

Hey Motoki .. need to get a multiplayer game going sometime then. I have had it sitting in my backlog for ages and never got around to playing it.

According to steamprices.com, it's the cheapest that it's ever been. If you were ever gonna buy Doom Rails, now's the time.

I find it hilarious how many people defend this sale with "Well, it's just because you already have everything..." Really? Then how did I manage to spend sixty-odd bucks at Amazon, GMG and GamersGate?

Doom Rails looks ridiculous but I'm bad about playing multiplayer games that I have to find people to play with (and multiplayer in general). And that DRM is bad even though I have Batman: AC waiting for me when I finish my new system with its similar DRM.

I'm half tempted to stock up on some but last time I gifted some copies everyone just sat around and never played it.

Yeah I was part of that set. I kept waiting for the group to set a night to play and it just kept falling further and further into the backlog. Definitely up for a CAG night though if some more people want to play.

Flow is taken care of- He is always down for some crappy muliplayer fun.
 
I beat Hotline Miami. That's a solid purchase at $5, if that rolls back around. Trust me, worth it!

More so if it's cheaper with Amazon in a week or two!

This Hawaiian shows 74 cents for Doom Rails on the Steam store. Maybe they don't like brawny Hawaiians...?
 
anyone considering anno should check out amazon, they have the deluxe for $20. I love steam and all but games with crazy drm I trust amazon more than steam. If it ever came down to it, I would trust amazon to give me another key due to excessive DRM, more than steam. (yeah I know I'm late on the anno flash deal, but the point is still the same, and the amazon price is the same). I got it for 15 the other day due to the 5$ credit from amazon and dont regret it.
 
Whenever they do the vote for separate titles in a franchise it pretty much always gets a flash or daily for the entire franchise it seems anyway.

Meh I'll wait for them to remove the crapware drm and it can only go down in price by that point. They eventually removed it from 1404 at least the retail disc of the gold version anyway.

Aside from what others already said, this thread is a mess for many reasons, and isn't the most useful tool for finding Steam deals.

I just want you to know I am so tempted to repost it just to do that to you again. But I won't.

In steam related talk the only deals I haven't seen that I want are, might and magic stuff, Legacy of kain stuff, and maybe some paradox stuff thats not Crusader Kings II. I want Sengoku damn it, but I don't want to have to pay $7.99 for it. Also I am probably buying Far Cry 3 Tuesday morning if nothing else comes up to blow my budget cause I am a weak man.
