Sorry to interrupt all this trading card discussion - it's so much better than Valve has decided to concentrate on TF2 party hats and trading cards rather than use the past SIX EFFING YEARS to make HL2: Ep. 3, right?
Cardz get me GabeN bucks. But I didn't really enjoy HL2 so I'll take the money for better games.

Sorry to interrupt all this trading card discussion - it's so much better than Valve has decided to concentrate on TF2 party hats and trading cards rather than use the past SIX EFFING YEARS to make HL2: Ep. 3, right? - but how is the Steam version of Bully. It's a decent port and worth playing over the X360 version I already have? Thanks.
Is HL2: Episode 3 going to give me $40?

And some people have a lot of issues with the Bully port running on their machines, though I personally never have. It's one of those ports that's infamous enough with its issues on a lot of computers that you might want to find some other (less legal) way to test it out on your own computer just to make sure it will run.

I tried Bully PC on 2 PC's WAY above system requirements.

I had Bully PC run fine on this Win 7 PC...

...but my previous WIn XP PC couldn't ever boot it.

Go bloody figure.

Great game, if you can get it working...

FYI for anyone who got the Steam version of Bleed - it's borked.   The dev's working on it, but it's currently broken.

Edit: Nevermind, patched and working.

I'll just stick with my Xbox version. Thanks for the replies. Keep chasing the shiny objects Gabe "When's lunch? I haven't eaten in minutes!" Newell tosses your way.

I would guess HL3 would be on a NEW version of Source that'll blow our graphics eyeballs out - just like HL1 and 2.

Probably took a good number of years to develop a new amazing engine.

A Newly-numbered HL seems to always drop on a new version of Source.

10 posts a page sucks. When did this happen?

EDIT: Oh, you can change it yourself now. Disaster averted.

6 years between releases, maybe Gabe is taking lessons from George R.R. Martin? Difference is, anybody can program a game, but if Martin dies before finishing his series... bah, don't even want to think about it.

It looks like the Mystery cards have leveled off at $1.50. GabeN just keeps on screwing with us. But I'm still so mystified and easily entertained. :joystick:

Edit: Or so I've been told.

I guess I should be thankful to my twitch-gaming roots for my card immunity.

I don't mean E-Game-Guides, I mean E-Books...

...you know, books w/ mostly tons and tons and tons of text - like something by Stephen King; F. Scott Fitzgerald; etc etc.
One could argue Alan Wake is basically an e-book. Between the manuscript pages in game and the 73 page PDF book it's probably the closest Steam has right now

Just have to say, those CAG trading cardz shackles made are way better than any of the ones Valve keeps pumping out. Also, I got into series one somehow \\:D/

That sounds more like a short story. ;)

I really should finish A. Wake + get into American Nightmare some time...

Novella or serial is accurate. Definitely not a short story (I've never really heard of a short story over 10,000 words).
Back in my college days we got into a heated debate in a creative writing class where the line was drawn flash fiction -> short story -> novella -> novel, never did reach a solid conclusion.

Haha those CAG trading cards made me crack a huge grin.

Off topic (?): Has anyone tried the new Walking Dead 400 Days DLC yet?  I know we'll see a better deal shortly, but at $4 (GMG discount) and considering how much I loved the base game, I'm considering just buying it now so I can play it this weekend.  I haven't seen many opinions yet so I was curious if any CAGs have had a chance yet. (Maybe I'm just being naive, since everyone knows CAGs would only buy it when it's 75% off)

Tsel did and said it was amazing.

You'all need higher resolution avatars :)

jKuds3t.png

I was under the impression CAG restricted the size we could upload. Has that changed with the upgrade (if so I'm definitely going to upload a higher res image). You still need to get UtopianMachine a card by the way, don't leave that photo(sweat)shop yet ;)

Eh... I already messed with CAG 3.0's avatar uploading process. No matter what size you upload, it sizes it down somehow and makes it blurry. 2.0 didn't do that. Ironic too, because CAG 3.0 allows larger file sizes.
