You only need 2 I believe they made it where you can play the previous maps from l4d1 in l4d2 now. Also it depends, if you really want to play them now go for it, if you can wait they will at least be that price again.

Didn't see it mentioned, but Killing Floor is on sale with a free weekend for whatever reason until the 11th. Also all its DLC is -50%.



 
Hm interesting.  I've been meaning to get L4D2 for years now (I loved L4D1) but couldn't pull the trigger in the past.  Now that it has cards I feel like I can kill two birds with one stone haha.  

If anyone is getting a 4 pack of L4D2 or 6 pack of Killing Floor I would be interested :)

It's a tie-in with their annual Summer event, with carnie-themed zeds, maps, and achievements.

And please let's no go there with the comparisons of Killing Floor and Left 4 Dead. KF is co-op only, buckle down and survive against waves of zombies, and is time/grind intensive to get your skills to a level where you can survive higher levels of difficulty, with a generally n00b-friendly community. L4D is both co-op and team-versus (but far more entertaining in the latter), where you sprint from the start of a map to its finish, which can be dominated out of the box by a highly skilled FPS player, and has a near-universally atrociously unwelcoming player base.

Also, L4D has tons more polish (writing and voice-acting) than KF (no true narrative and 1 set of voice commands / exclamations for male characters and one for females).

I love both, but still prefer L4D.

You need to run BL2 to redeem shift keys. They give you golden keys that work on a loot chest in Sanctuary. 1 key = 1 shot at lewt. Shift keys are typically only valid for 1-3 days, One redemption. You can (and are advised to) stockpile them.

The codes themselves often expire (after a set time period or number of keys redeemed). Once you redeem them you get to keep the keys indefinitely. I don't know for certain, but my guess is that they are within the cloud save (or at least registered through Gearbox's Shift service) and they would be persistent across installations (if for some wild reason you should choose to uninstall).

It only gets praise cause it looked so pretty at the time, had anticipation backing it, and of course anything Twin Peaksy is golden...on that note, everyone who loves Twin Peaks-like stuff, play Deadly Premonition, its definitely one of the best underrated titles of the current console gen (play on PS3 if possible, alot of annoying crap was fixed in that release)

Looks like I'm going to live to regret this decision. Got one card and the lowest price was 69 cents so I listed at 66, now there's 2 guys cheaper than me already and nothin is selling. I hope the game is good, I only bought it to break even and get a free game.

Update, the 2 cards below me have sold but there are two new ones in their place. Maybe people are buying after all.

Ehh, the 650M is a pretty solid card. Guaranteed L4D/2 will run on max settings no problem. He could probably run most games on medium-to-high, bar stuff like BF4 (which isn't even out, so who knows how the optimization will be).

So far I've gotten 3 cards, sold 2. When I first checked (before buying the game) those two would have sold for $1.20, they actually sold for a combined $0.92. I'll be suprised if I reach $1.75 out of the $2.25 cost.
