Shogun 2 Collection worth the extra money? Or should I just get the base game?
I'd say Rise of the Samurai is worth getting, then its up to you if the rest of the DLC is worth $2.49. I'd personally say yes, and to also get Fall of the Samurai complete, but it really depends on how much you think you will play the game.

oh shit i don't like fallout 3 i must be a troll

amazing
not a troll, just blind and clueless ;)

and also see below

I've logged a couple hours into BL2 playing as a Mechro. I'm about to restart the game with a Siren. The Mechro's Deathtrap steals all my kills. I feel like the worthless NPC watching it play through BL2, which isn't very fun.
Hm, first time I've heard that take on her. I use DT when I'm in a bind (like someone else said), and even then I feel like he's too slow with the way he moves to one enemy at a time. He's a capable fighter (probably more so if you go down a skill tree that buffs his attacks up), but he's rarely "stolen kills" from me. He kind of just feels like a helper (not much different than Axton's turret).

This looks like the lady would be half-hidden behind your profile on the right side.
Oh man, Fallout 3 is such hot trash, it's like no one ever created mountains of mods for it, investing like 50+ hours into it or won multiple game of the year awards. It's like so totally subjective. Or some dude just doesn't like it and wants to voice his opinion to be like super internet awesome. 'Cause yah, we're all cool like that.

Those Shogun backgrounds are gorgeous. They are now in my wallpaper lineup...
/agree... shoulda put her far left/right ... current backgrounds implementation sucks, they should just go with border/frame imo
Ya know, what does the bastion background look like? I'll probably buy it when it goes on sale again (kicked myself for buying it 1/2 off during xbox countdown) it'll at least make me feel like I Paid full price for it (I just love that game to death!)

Hey, need to clear this up:

The new 1920x1080 wallpapers are something completely different than the (ideally) optimized profile-backgrounds you obtain from the market or wherever.

Get wallpapers: You need to scout a way to your badges-page and click on an individual card that you own or have crafted, then the card art is revealed to be a zoomed in area of the wallpaper. You can do what you want with them at that point (e.g. Save As and 'shop them until they're essentially just porn).

Or you can just download them from the internet. My wallpaper post is on the internet.

I've only fucked with a few games' cosmetics so it may differ for others. Cheapy can ---- my D though. Every other long post I submit results in an errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Any recommendations for which fallout has better mod support? I've beaten both games on Xbox 360, including all DLC. So just looking at vanilla, which would be better for mods?

I used to save the pics from the badges page to use as windows backgrounds, but now I just download them from http://www.steamcardexchange.net/index.php?showcase instead.

Ugh the community vote winners didn't annoy me nearly this much last sale. But all the wrong games are winning this time around.

I will admit I voted torchlight 2, then realized it was going to be on sale any way and proceeded to facepalm. I believe it's based on the most savings and/or the lowest price

always cracks me up when people recommend the steaming bethesda turd pile called fallout 3

it's not even worth pirating
Damn... I liked it. I hate when I'm wrong.

Torchlight 2 wins
Well, I will congratulate them for voting on the most heavily discounted game... even if it's perpetually on sale.

I voted for Gunpoint even though 40% off probably wouldn't have been enough to reel me in. And I'm pretty sure Don't Starve was on sale for even less a day or two prior. That would have been the biggest fail.

That's how most of the seasonal sales work. It's a popularity contest, people don't vote for the best deal.
Yeah but... it was the best deal this time. I don't see any point in encouraging Valve to put things on sale for 40%. Ever.

Didn't see it listed in the OP, but Sins of a Solar Empire is 66% off, both Trinity and Rebellion

http://store.steampowered.com/search/?snr=1_4_4__12&term=sins+of+a+solar+empire
Rebellion actually is in the OP under the Stardock pack, but I will go ahead and add Trinity as well :)

You can use Enhanced Steam to try out all the backgrounds (and actually make them viewable to anyone using ES). Link is in the OP if you don't have it :D

Nexusmods seems to be REALLY sluggish for me today (because of the Summer Sale?), but here's Fallout 3's Project Nevada equivalent:

Fallout 3 Wanderers Edition

I haven't tried it yet, but I'm pretty sure it does the same things as Project Nevada, more or less.
u so stoopid whenu mod ugly n broken still ugly n broken. play neoscavenger. it is everything fallout sposed to be n it won goty from me.

Is Fall Out Vegas Ultimate Edition worth it? I'm not really that much of a completionist and I'd probably just try to get through the main game. It's only $2.50 more.

Doesn't the game have mod support too? So if I wanted more content, I could just download some?

That's why I voted for TL2. I'll vote for the game/discount combo that I'd most like to buy.

In this case, at 40% off, I'm not going to buy those games. Therefore, even though I already own TL2, it's more likely that I'd buy an extra copy of it than either of the other games.

I simultaneously laughing at face-palming and people trying to decide if $5 is a good deal for massive well liked RPGs.
and still graphically up to par

Buy it
Hey don't laugh at me D:. Heh, I just figured it might get even cheaper or there be a bundle with both the games by the time Witcher 3 gets out, considering I wouldn't get around to it having a full plate of games.

Anyway, putting myself even further out there seeing these last couple pages, do I need to play Fallout 3 before NV? If not, is it worth going back to 3? I have no doubt it was (and still is) a great game but I'm not looking into playing multiple similar games that are huge time sinks. Basically why I decided to just go straight to Skyrim rather than play Oblivion and Morrowind. (don't crucify me)

Dude, it's xenophobe. FALLOUT 3 SO BAD BTW #trollin #yoloswaggins #hashtagsonaforum
I know that, everyone always thinks it's Xenophobe (ironically playing mass effect and am being a nice person to all that are different)
Zenaphobe was a made up term for the fear of Happiness, which is odd for human nature. Kind of a mind fuck if you will.

Torchlight 2 will most likely be a daily deal though. We don't know if Gunpoint will be.

I voted for TL2 because I actually want to buy it. I don't know how I've been skipping all the previous sales, but I'm finally jumping on it this.

They aren't connected at all story wise so no. Gameplay wise NV is probably the better game but some people just like the look and feel of 3 better. I'd say if you went with NV your probably getting the better game. But you can't go wrong with either.

Also the new community votes are horrible. Infestation which should be avoided like the plauge, and riptide which will likely be a daily deal. I guess I am voting for l4d2.

Torchlight 2 will most likely be a daily deal though. We don't know if Gunpoint will be.
Torchlight 2 is one of the Summer Getaway cards so I'd be surprised if it isn't a featured daily at 75%. Gunpoint may be back as a 40% off flash or daily, but it wouldn't surprise me if it's like last sale where a few of the obscure titles which didn't win the vote never got a deeper discount.

I guess Dead Island daily will be 20$ as well shame was hoping on a larger price cut, heard the game was mediocre but liked the first enough to pick up the second for 5-10$

Well, 3 had one of the most memorable moments in gaming, New Vegas is a much more refined and enjoyable version (mind you, you'll probably going to have to look into broken steel or a mod, as when you finish the game, it's over (any attempt to load a save from completion will put you back before you were stuck completing it) Both 3 and Vegas have enough differences to warrant a playthrough. Skyrim and Oblivion do too (Skyrim is pretty much a different beast, as it is post Fallout and with a different approach on level progression)

Im trying to buy total war grandmaster collection and the kindoms addon. Checking out give me an error saying I am buying multiples of the same item. I checked the grandmaster collection and it doesn't include Kingdoms, so what gives?

Fallout 3 and NV DLCs are VERY well done and adds tons of new items, locations, and quests. Even the best mods can't rival the DLC content.

Anyone interested in the Torchlight 2 4-pack? Comes out to $3.75 each for anyone interested. If I'm not supposed to do this here, sorry.

1) Anyone doing a Torchlight 2 4 pack CAG bundle? I'll chip in if there is one.

2) Anyone willing to trade a Chivalry Summer Sale Card for a Bioshock Infinite OR Kernal card?

A new game called "Infestation: Survivor Stories" that is absolutely, unquestionably, definitely not "The War Z" under a different title is up for a community vote.  Everyone should troll show steam our support for the under-utilized zombie genre and vote for it.

Also the new community votes are horrible. Infestation which should be avoided like the plauge, and riptide which will likely be a daily deal. I guess I am voting for l4d2.
I think your wrong no matter what, best not to say what your voting for on here. People are very touchy.

And so it begins...probably better to do it on the steam forums.
