Don't be too surprised if Morgan actually wins this.
I don't know. After Stings promo, I think he wins & drops the belt to Styles @ BFG
What was the nash/foley finish that was so bad?
Foley got shoved/knocked into Traci Brooks on the apron, he looks down to see if she's okay, Nash gets the surprise pin.

It just didn't fit given the beating that the two of them were giving each other. Five minutes earlier in the match, Foley was his old Cactus Jack self, trying to kill Nash. He shouldn't have given a shit about Traci Brooks.

I'm not necessarily calling it, just saying it's not a ridiculous option. Personally, I'm more inclined to go with your take on it. Sting is definitely the type to want to do a public passing of the torch. Plus he would get to sleep in his own bed after his last match.;)

Morgans not a bad option. Among the three, I'd like to see him get it. But after hearing Stings promo, I believe thats what we'll get.

Wow. Angle has drugs, stalks a chick, goes to jail and is rewarded with the TNA title. JJ gets some ass from Angle's wife and he's off TV for a month and has to sell his share of the company.

This PPV completely sucked.

seconded.
i suspect we'll see angle wrestle and retain just to "swerve" the audience - thus proving that tna is being worked by the wrestlers politically, and theyre not really resting on any moral high ground to keep jarrett off tv.
JJ selling his share? I'd like to see proof of that.
Wasn't that the rumor floating around? That Dixie wanted to buy out his share or something? Either way, JJ's offense led to some people getting released, yet you got a guy like Angle who did some pretty serious things and gets to retain the title. It really makes no sense.
Some good ol' Tony SKEE-uh-vone.
The finish of Vader vs. Guardian Angel (Big Boss Man) was Vader carrying a retractable baton into the ring to hit Angel (since he no sold a Vader Bomb and Vader Moonsault) - and Angel grabbed the baton from him, holding it like he was gonna hit Vader. Ref saw this and called for the DQ, despite nobody getting hit.

Shiavone goes on after the match talking about how Angel was DQed despite "deciding against using the baton."

 fuckin' Shiavone.
bunkhouse buck!
I had the same reaction. I swear. I think I'll be watching this channel an awful lot.

Good point.

as sad as it is.... my prediction was right, they didnt even make a goddamn note of it, angle is trash, pure and simple. this situation does nothing to break the stereotypes of wrestling fans and wrestlers. i hope he gets sentenced tuesday and hope he has to serve some fucking jail time.

way to stay classy TNA
Stunning Steve Austin vs. Ricky Steamboat just started on that channel.

CRAP! I left to go running less than 2 minutes before you posted.

Deep breath. They're probably just waiting to see what happens at his hearing Tuesday before possibly disrupting the top storyline unnecessarily. Just because we didn't see anything doesn't mean he isn't being or will be punished. Just give it some time.

Myke, Wikipedia says Big Bully Busick is currently head of security at Mountaineer Gaming Resort in West Virginia. I picture him walking the blackjack pits with his derby and cigar.

This is why I don't watch TNA....I read posts about it and get confused

And I already get confused by certain WWE storylines....

Aw, dude. That's right outside of Pittsburgh, and I'm going up there on Saturday...

hmm...

hmm...
Damn you - I should've went to bed two hours ago!
Heh, I'm still watching it at work. I love the little chat window.

"justinhiteart: Haha i heard paul Roma used to blow pat patterson"

There was another one last night that was totally classless but made me laugh:

"I heard Kurt Angle was late to the arena but he beat Rhaka Khan there."

Aww, I feel bad for laughing so hard at that..

Nasty Boys and Harlem Heat right now.. my god this channel is pure greatness. I can't wait until they get into early and mid '96..

There's a Royal Rumble Marathon going on as well, but I love older WCW. I watched this before WWF. I really miss Bobby Heenan as a commentator.

Did you catch the Paul Roma/Alex Wright opener from this PPV that was on about 45 minutes back?

Turns out that match got Roma shitcanned from WCW for not giving *anything* to Wright when instructed to put the kid over. Kicked out at 1.9 on the actual three count. A fine opener to a wrestling PPV if you weren't paying attention, but the one-sidedness of it, and refusal of Roma to give anything to the skinny bastard, was pretty obvious watching it knowing that backstory.

I miss Bobby too. You know who I miss the most though is Vince & Jesse I love how they worked together so well but at least I get to enjoy it somewhat on the DVD sets I own. Nobody has the charisma of them today.

Speaking of the good 'ol days...

I'd love to see TNA dump Mike Tenay & bring in Tony Shiavone. I know it will never happen, but I never have liked Tenay. WCW commentary went in the shitter after Shiavone & Heenan.

Fall Brawl 1996: the nWo smashes the shit out of Lex Luger's Cadillac.

Luger, upon discovering his Cadillac has been ruined, kicks a giant dent in the trunk out of frustration.

Schiavone was already in TNA once. Wikipedia doesn't even mention this on Tony's info for some odd reason.
January 29, 2003 - NWA-TNA: Tony Schiavone makes his long awaited (sarcasm) return to professional wrestling, as a heel announcer. Tony immediately starts a feud with mainstay announcer Mike Tenay. Tony will serve as Sports Entertainment Xtreme announcer.
He only lasted a few shows.

I remember that. He came out with a fully grown beard & chewed Tenays ass out for some things that happened in WCW I believe. I think he jumped on Tenay accusing him of wanting his job in WCW or something like that.

I fell asleep watching those WCW PPVs.

Spotted this in the chat:

alexanderperfection5: I made a Diarrhea Omelet for breakfast. 1 cup egg whites, 1 cup diarrhea

Kurt Angle's attorney, Michael Santicola, spoke to Pittsburg's WPXI TV on Sunday and said his client is innocent of charges of all the charges brought against him following his arresst on Saturday morning, including harassing his ex-girlfriend, TNA Knockout Rhaka Khan (real name Tranesh Biggers).
According to WPXI.com, Santicola says that Biggers was upset that Angle had recently ended their relationship and there was no "corroborating evidence" that Angle had abused her or was even aware of her being at that Starbucks when Angle was accused of stalking her. Santicola claims that Briggers was trying to continue to "involve herself" in Angle's life.

Regarding to the charge of driving with a suspended license, Santicola noted that Angle was found innocent of DUI earlier this year and that his license was valid this past Saturday, pending some paperwork.
When asked about the charges of syringes and vials of Human Growth Hormone being found in Angle's car, Santicola told WPXI, "I have spoken with his agent, it is under prescription, multiple people use it in his industry and it is not illegal."

Angle has a scheduled hearing in Pennsylvania on Tuesday but it will likely be rescheduled as Angle will be in Orlando, Florida taping a future episode of TNA Impact.

His hearing has been pushed back to September 15th. Sounds like the lawyer will be able to get him out of the driving with a suspended license charge at the very least.

story I read said it got pushed back to Sept. 5th.

RoH tonight an hour before RAW.

Match line-up tonight:

-Eddie Edwards v Kevin Steen
-Cheech and Cloudy v Sal Rinaro and Tony Kozina
-Sami Calahan v The Necro Butcher
-Nigel McGuinness v Tyler Black

Prowrestling.net has a list of celebrities the WWE has either been booked or are trying to book as guest host of RAW. Some of the ones I found amusing:

-Bob Barker.
-Al Sharpton. (What?)
The Osbournes. (And the requisite WWE is way over the expiration date guest goes to...)
-Danny DeVito.
-MC Hammer. (I may have spoke too soon...)

This has gone on long enough I think.

Given the WWE audience, Al Sharpton should be the biggest heel in the history of Raw.

Also, given the McMahon's idiotic political proclivities, I suspect they'll embarrass him so bad it'll make Dusty Rhode's yellow polka dots feel sympathy for the guy.

Sharpton has no fuckin' idea what he's getting into.
