Funny that they take the host who actually wants to be there out of the show
exactly what I was thinking.

I know someone else posted that other celebs had been contacted to host, but i wonder if this might be their way to end the special guest host thing.

Doubtful. The WWE likes this because its gets their name into the mainstream. Why kill off something that to Vince at least in his mind is going to help ratings.
Don West just got endeavored from TNA. No... that's no joke.
really? get rid of russo and might be able to turn that ship around

I wonder does that mean if Taz is going to replace him at the next taping of Impact?

I've managed to stay away from almost all wrestling for 2 1/2 months now but I turned on Raw tonight to see Freddie Prinze Jr. on my screen. WTF?

Bash at the Beach 1994 on right now - apparently WCW PPVs on constant rotation on this channel.
This is video crack.

Fell asleep watching it last night and realized how much I miss good announcing.
f4wonline says yes, Taz will be at the announce table from now on
What the fuck? Why would they get rid of Don West? That guy was great. Now the announcing is going to be just like WWE.

Taz replaces him on next week's show from what I've heard.

Prinze looked sick, very pale, bags under eyes, and overly sweaty. I'd say he is legit sick and they had to find a way to keep him off camera but with his being a fan and former employee he still agreed to be on camera.

Miz looks stupid now, they took a unique look and made it stupid... wonder if it was his idea or creatives idea.

And hey look, he did the Mic Check.

The Jericho approach I guess? Dress him more like the traditional main event wrestler and people will take him more seriously. I do think the new look is lacking the Be Miz eyes somewhere in it.

Been on the phone for most of the first hour, the but Carlito/Kofi and Bourne/Miz matches appeared good when muted.

Net nerds are going to have a field day with HHH's "Things don't change much around here" comment.

World War 3? 1996 or 1997, I think.

Speaking of that PPV, I always wondered why the out-and-proud superliberal Ted Turner would allow a wrestling company under his watch to name a PPV "World War 3."

That DX/Legacy segment was hot fire. Did a helluva job of selling the pay per view, IMO, by making DX seem beatable. This is vastly different from dropping poo all over the spirit squad. Will DX win at SS? Sure - but they're supposed to; so what if they do? The point is to get both teams over, and this segment made Legacy look legitimate.

Don West got canned? Boo - I couldn't stand him for the longest time, but I've really enjoyed seeing a genuine "heel" announcer on a wrestling show. His quips were pretty clever at times - especially when directed at Tenay. I felt like the writing was on the wall when they hired the Human Smorgasbord Machine Taz, though.

I just don't get why they had to fire Don West. Why couldn't they have 3 guys announce?

Eddie vs. Rey has been pretty good so far.

good 40 second match between swagger and mvp.... with neither guy gettin an intro, werent they both supposed to be main eventers?

DW does a 180 and has been consistently entertaining since his heel turn. So of course the next logical step is to fire him.#-o A year ago, everyone would have been singing the praises of a DW release. Now, though, the guy shows massive improvement then gets shown the door. I'd really like to know who pushed for it and who OK'd it. Idiots.

Eh, not being on TV anymore is close enough to being 'fired' as far as I'm concerned. Dammit TNA, could you just for ONE MONTH not be "one step forward, two steps back"? Would it kill you?

HA. Now THAT was fucking funny. I off-handedly thought of the movie when Chavo got hit by the paint can, but then he actually SHOWED UP.

I feel like someone showed Vince/Stephanie an episode of Family Guy, and they both really enjoyed the random references.

I'm psyched to see who all shows up for the World War 3 main event. I forgot RAW was on.

EDIT - Ahhhh! Louie Spicolli!

EDIT AGAIN - Holy shit alot of these guys are dead now.

Man, I really miss Don West on at 2am in the morning selling knock off 24kt gold MJ rookie cards and freaking out on tv. You can just look at DW and tell he does a shit load of coke.

 I remember those days. Me & a cpl of guys at work would go in the next day and talk about how crazy he was and the stuff he was selling.

The guy holding the Michael Cole word-bubble "VINTAGE!" sign just as Cole said it during Cena's diving tackles = comedy gold. Two legitimate laughs in one night? This is WWE, right?

Yeah, I miss old school Don West also. Fortunately he lives on here. No wrestling bullshit, just old school Shop at Home:

And who would guess years later he'd be doing color on TNA impact on spike tv, nuts. but he has done a great job over the years. I really wish it'd be DW and Taz together, now that would be bad ass. Get rid of Tenay

World War 3 was such a waste of physical space.

Question: There are obviously two reasons WWE doesn't do WarGames:
1) It's a WCW thing
2) Two rings = more space = fewer seats = less money

Now, assuming their egos get over #1 (fat chance), do you think a traditional 10-man WarGames match would work within a single ring? I doubt they would ever use two, but would one do the trick?
