I reached a breaking point a while back with them, left them fend for themselves for a few weeks without my interference and watch the results.
The results were basically that Everyone in the house is now broke and are looking at everything of value as a source of money, leave so much as a DVD in that house, and it will probably end up in someone else's hands sold to them for 2 bucks. The $75,000 that my uncle was given after my aunts death, that I was managing until I gave up on them is now completely gone after only two weeks of not helping him manage it.
Thanks to the influx of money literally spilling out of my uncle's ass, because he refuses to use a wallet and keeps an upward of over $1200 dollars in his left sock while he walks around the house in his underwear. He is grossly un-healthy and constantly lethargic and weak, walking around the house sometimes practically naked, sleeping in a bedroom that is literally his toilet since he can almost barely control his bladder or bowel movements, his room is crusted in dried feces and uses his bundled up clothes in the corner to piss on whenever he feels like it, sometimes he randomly pisses somewhere in other parts of the house when he feels like it.
Drugs and alcohol in the house is most common now, I find discarded baggies of cocaine, PCP and copious amounts of baggies of marijuana, and mushroom stems that are bought with all the money my uncle gives my brother, his friends and the tenant's overly aggressive son. It's most common to see all of them in the house either under the influence of some drug, or sleeping for 16 hours on end. The amount of beer cans in the house is enough to give any hobo on the street a boner from the sheer stacks and stacks of empty beer cans in the house, the daily amount of beer consumed is probably 146 cans of beer, almost 30% of that being solely my uncle.
The amount of money that my brother, his friends and the tenants I have living there have stolen from my uncle is un-countable, but looking at the transaction records of my uncle being driven to the bank every 2 days for $2500 is any clue, it's clear to see how much is taken on a daily basis.
Secretly I have withdrawn the last remaining $25,000 from his account and transferred it over to a CD account in his daughters name. as far as he knows He's already run out of his money and everyone in the house is now calming down.
for the first time in months, they have actually started begging me for money again, and asking me to help them clean up. now that all of my uncle's money is spent and gone, maybe things will return to normal.
The funniest thing about all this, My brother recently bought a PS3 that he says he got from doing some gardening work for a friend (pure BS by the way, since my uncle seemed to be missing $900 the day he bought it) four controllers, 6 games and everything...and two days later has already sold it for drugs and beer.
I dont know what's going to happen next, but hopefull that the money is "gone" things might return to normal.
