I doubt TNA would let them sign a WWE Legends contract or whatever would be needed to get them into the game.  Best you could hope for is Matt Hardy versus Rey Mysterio from WM X-8 or a match where Matt was in a MITB and the other participants are not in TNA.  

From the first 10, I'd personally love, aside from the main events, these matches:

Bulldogs vs Dream Team - 2 

Savage vs Steamboat - 3

Demolition vs Strike Force - 4

Brain Busters vs Strike Force - 5

Twin Towers vs Rockers - 5

Savage vs Warrior - 7

Bret vs Piper - 8

Bret vs Owen - 10

Apparently he's a pretty good wrestler? I think it'd be pretty cool if he debuted as a new masked wrestler and started getting the better of Del Rio. It'd be obvious who it was to everyone except Del Rio and they could build up to a big reveal. I guess it would've worked better when he was still manager on the verge of turning against him.

Guess this explains why they revealed the Ultimate Warrior & Andre the Giant are in the game. But isn't that basically what the Legends of Wrestlemania game was?

Yeah, it's definitely a pipe dream, but it's not unprecedented. Wasn't RVD in TNA the last time he was in a WWE game? I think I remember reading that the video game deals are separate from a legitimate WWE deal, but I could very well be wrong.

 
The inclusion of specific superstars or modes doesn't drive me as much as the gameplay does. Every game since Hell in a Cell has been progressively more of a mess and if the combat system isn't fun to play, then nothing else is going to make for the fact. The N64 games are still the best in terms of pure multiplayer fun and the Fire Prowrestling R is the best regarding fantasy match-ups.

Do you guys really think that they are going to give Bryan the WWE title? This is the first time in a while that I could really see it going either way. I mean, they'd be crazy not to give Bryan the strap after all this build and his momentum...but Cena.

It could flip the day of SummerSlam, but, as of now, Danielson is -400 favorite to beat John Cena.

Or in layman's terms, Cena is almost a 3:1 underdog. I've seen these lines flip the day of the show, tho, so we shall see. And who knows if WWE is gonna swerve the general public. All of this said, from what I've seen, these lines are usually a good indicator of who will win.

Yeah, I think Bryan walks out with it but with plenty of McMahon family shenanigans. Still back and forth on the possibility of the Orton cash-in as I think they might do something with Sandow/Rhodes where one of them cashes in on Christian/Del Rio.

Of course they could do both in one night - doing one early in the show would certainly throw people off of the possibility of it happening twice.

That promo is hilarious because it's obvious that Danielson hurt Cena's feelings. He is a parody of pro wrestling, but that's okay. WWE isn't about wrestling anymore. That's why they dropped it from their name. If I want actual pro wrestling, I'll watch PWG or New Japan or- Well, that's all I have time for.

But it's okay that WWE has lessened its focus on actual pro wrestling. They use it as a vehicle to do a lot of good in the world, and that's also needed. And I am being 100-percent sincere. That's why I don't mind Cena being the face of the company. Dude does a lot of charitable work, and that's very respectable. What Vince has done is elevate wrasslin far beyond its carnie roots, and, that too, is very respectable. Everything has its own purpose.

I miss a lot of RAW thanks to work, but that was a good promo out of Danielson last night. You can tell because Cena looked visibly pissed at certain points. Summerslam has the makings to be an awesome PPV this year.

Fair point. Buuuut in 2002, they were still a pro wrestling company. I like to mark WWE giving The Rock his own show (SmackDown in 1999) as the start of the sports entertainment era. In 2002, they were still transitioning.

Maybe they stopped beforehand, but in 2011 is when WWE officially dropped "wrestling" from their name when they officially changed "World Wrestling Entertainment" to just "WWE."

Just my two cents, tho.

I'm going to be honest. For as much wrestlecrap nonsense the Kate Vick angle gets, it wasn't nearly as half as bad as people say it is.

HHH didn't have sex with a dead Kate Vick. He didn't even feign sex with a dead body. He had a dummy in a casket that he gyrated on top of to gain a psychological advantage of Kane; No more than Edge did to numerous women during his title runs. The "Eddie's Dead!" and "Shawn Michaels teams up with God" were much more in poor taste than Kate Vick.

Speaking of WWE 2K14...

Most likely won't happen, but I'd like the ability to "transfer" WWE 13 custom wrasslers to WWE 2K14. I downloaded everyone and didn't make my own creations, but I made my own refinements to their movesets. Hopefully editing things will be a lot more responsive/better organized in the next game. A "search" function would be helpful when editing a moveset.

Oh, how charming! my own thread!

I'm alive and well. Just don't watch very much wrestling at all anymore, and my gaming has declined pretty (well, really) remarkably as well.

Been doing a lot of traveling, changed jobs, have a lot of travel upcoming, so a whole lot of prior obligations explains my absence. That's all.

Time to change this to the "Darren Young comes out and still nobody cares about him" thread. ;)

Definitely a cynic in me that thinks he just so happened to mention this because he's worried about being released, and no way that its going to happen anytime soon now (H, Steph, and Cena already "proud" of him). Will be interested to see how or if this is handled on TV. And if he eventually does get released anyway, he can always go to TNA and have a gimmick where he squirts a questionable "substance" all over himself while wrapped up in weird black duct tape looking stuff.

Whether the cynicism is accurate or not, dude is pretty brave for doing this. Rasslin' isn't historically the most tolerant of industries.

Yeah, I can see them eventually future endeavoring him maybe sometime next year, but not now.

The way the company acts, he'll eventually disappear from TV completely(not even quick squash matches) & do dark matches. Or somehow they'll turn the PTP tag team into a new version of Billy & Chuck, then point to it and say "see, we're tolerant of this lifestyle".

Three names we’ve heard confirmed for the WWE tryout camp at the end of the month are Prince Mustafa Ali, a Midwest independent wrestler, as well as both Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards. It’s the same weekend as Pro Wrestling Guerrilla’s Battle of Los Angeles weekend, and Richards just pulled out of the tournament, while Edwards was not booked and he’s on almost every PWG show.

Never thought of it like that. I took it at face value. Well shit. If WWE goes the same route TNA did with Orlando Jones, that would be gross.

But then again, this is the same company that turned Eddie Guerrero's death into an angle. During which I quit watching for months upon months upon months. While I only sporadically keep up with WWE, these days, I'd give them even less of my time if they became reckless again.

I just checked out the new PS3 Live Events App. Right now it just has future WWE Live Events listed (Summerslam and Night of Champions) as well as a past UFC fight. One of the interesting things about it is that instead of linking your PSN Account with your WWE Account like they did with the Xbox App, you just buy the PPV directly using your Playstation Space Dollars.
