3 solid titles...... Pokemon Snap will definately be mine..... I'm tempted to get Ghosts N Goblins as well....

*sigh*

I exchanged my stars for wii points, but only got 300. Its less of a ''trade stars and buy games'', its more like a ''trade stars and get a discount on games''.

for those who dont know what I'm talking about, nintendo's europe site can exchange stars for wii points. annoyingly though, 4:1.

so 250 stars (a normal DS game)= 50 wii points. so buying 10 ds games with star codes will bag you enough for a nes game.
sorry for the bump, but does anybody know where the ''referal'' page is on the new website? is it gone?
I honestly think you are the only one from Europe in this thread. I'm sorry.
That IS if you are talking about the Nintendo of UK website...if not, then please explain what you mean..

the old website had refferals, and when people clicked on em, you got 250 stars (equivelant of 50 wii points). so 10 clicks= 1 nes game. sorry if the spelling is bad, typing on my wii. I just need 450 stars to bag 500 points!

Your math is wrong.

Anyone have any comparisons between Baseball Stars 2 and Baseball Stars for the NES? I used to love that game.

I would think - and HOPE - this would be Baseball Stars 2 on the Neo Geo. I'd add a YouTube link, but I am too dumb to do so.

Just copy the URL of the youtube video, highlight it, and wrap it with the Media tags by clicking the blue M in the toolbar

Gah, I can't wait for YS! I'm saving my points just for that game :D
So we meet again, Ghost n Goblins.

I swear to god. I will download you. And I will BEAT YOU!
Unless Nintendo has a change of heart and allows a Game Genie download I think Ghost n Goblins laughs at your assertion.

Get ready to celebrate the arrival of a bunch of fun new features on the Wii™ Shop Channel. This week marks the debut of the first Pokémon® game for the Virtual Console: Pokémon Snap™, which originally was a hit on Nintendo® 64. This Pokémon photographic adventure comes with a special Wii bonus: It now includes a special feature that allows players to post pictures they take in the game to their Wii Message Board and send them to friends with whom they've traded Friends Codes.

And let's not ignore the other sure-to-please titles: Ghosts'n Goblins and BASEBALL STARS 2. These three new classic games go live at 9 a.m. Pacific time. But wait – there's more!

Later in the day on Monday, Nintendo will make your holiday shopping just a little bit easier. If some people on your gift list have visions of classic video games dancing in their heads, you're in luck. Starting this week, Wii Shop Channel patrons can use a new Gifting feature to send games to other Wii owners with whom they've traded Friend Codes. It's an easy and inexpensive way to give your fellow Nintendo buffs the gift of a classic game—no wrapping paper required. And don't worry about duplication. If your friend already has the game you're trying to give, you'll get a simple message and be bumped back into the catalog to continue shopping.

Nintendo adds new games to the Wii Shop Channel every Monday. Wii™ owners with a high-speed Internet connection can redeem Wii Points™ to download the games. Wii Points can be purchased in the Wii Shop Channel or at retail outlets. This week's new games are:

Pokémon Snap (Nintendo 64, 1 player, Rated E for Everyone, 1,000 Wii Points): As one of the most unique games in a renowned series, Pokémon Snap was the first truly 3-D Pokémon game and introduced the phenomenon to the Nintendo 64. Travel to Pokémon Island and meet Professor Oak to begin a safari, taking the best possible photographs of 63 different Pokémon as they exist in the wild, undisturbed by humans. This is not as easy as it sounds—the island has many types of climates and environments to explore, along with secret activities and hidden passages to discover. Plus, some of the Pokémon can be a little shy and won't pose for the camera unless you tease them with special items. After you're done, submit one picture of each Pokémon to Professor Oak, and he'll judge it based on size, pose, technique and number of Pokémon captured.

Ghosts'n Goblins (NES®, 1-2 players, Rated E for Everyone—Mild Animated Violence, 500 Wii Points): Ghosts'n Goblins was a popular arcade game before it made the leap to the NES in 1986. Like later games in the series, Ghosts'n Goblins presents quite a challenge to players brave enough to take on the role of Arthur and delve into the realm of demons and monsters to rescue the kidnapped princess. Choose your weapons wisely and take advantage of their strengths to deal with the situation at hand. Pass through the six gates that stand between you and Astaroth, and teach him a lesson in chivalry he'll never forget. Demonstrating a high level of technical prowess for a game of its era, Ghosts'n Goblins presents a unique and unforgettable universe. The stage for adventure is set. Are you up to the test?

BASEBALL STARS 2 (NEOGEO, 1-2 players, Rated E for Everyone, 900 Wii Points): Lace up your cleats and step onto the diamond with the pros of BASEBALL STARS 2. You'll find everything you'd expect in a classic game of baseball, but with an arcade feel and intense action that distinguish it from the pack. Pick one of six unique teams from cities around the world, then get ready for nine innings of excitement, whether you're taking on the computer in a 15-game tournament or squaring off against a friend. There are two modes of game play, so even the most inexperienced player can compete at the major-league level (with a little computer-aided fielding). Watch as the game develops through split-screen views and close-up shots worthy of any highlight film, and see if you can catch the numerous over-the-top animations of the large and detailed player models. Think you have what it takes to win the pennant?

We get gifting today!!
Please note that this is the NEOGEO Baseball Stars 2. It's a great game, but it is different than the NES version.
Yeah it is. It's more geared towards an arcade-type experience.

I need to order more Wii Points since we get the Gift Channel today. In about 2 weeks I'll be back home for the holidays and away from my Wii, so I'll need to jump on it and send my SS present asap.

So close, yet so far. C'mon Nintendo, Baseball Stars 1 will be the best Christmas gift ever.

Sorry, but not much sympathy from here in the US where all we get is a kick in the ass.
Damn, I was super excited about baseball stars 2 until I saw it was the neogeo version.
The superior version.

And not even a swift one.

I'm not holding my breath, but does the enhanced Wii content for Pokemon Snap include Wiimote support, or is it just the picture sharing?
So I'm guessing we will need to perform a system update...?
My system is not glowing blue...yet

If I buy Pokemon Snap...then I got to store more games to the SD, lol

Just picture sharing.

I believe that feature will be made available tonight. What time? Really don't know. It would make sense to throw this all together in the same update..ya know?
And I agree. I had to store 3 games on an SD card! I believe I have 220ish blocks now.. I really REALLY hope it's less then this...:whistle2:(

Pokemon Snap for me! Hopefully we get some good games for the Christmas season, I have some points to spend still from several months ago.

I think I'm going to have to buy Pokemon Snap. Such an awesome game. I still have my N64 cart.

This makes up for countless Kirby Super Star and SMRPG-less weeks. DK64-less, too.

Nice to hear we'll be able to go through with the CAG Secret Santa project, but I'd rather see the DS Demo channel.

Ew. You can only send ONE picture to your message board a day!! That's really lame.

BTW, was this game (Snap) only 1 save file???

Yeah, it was only one save file.
I needs opinions on Baseball Stars 2 plz. I am NOT a sports fan in any form or fashion.
Not a baseball sim by any means.
It's a fun, action packed, and very comical take on Baseball.
Filled with beefy men that you can "pump-up", and flaming pitches.
It's just a fun game, I used to play it all the time in the arcade.

There are no flaming pitches...Baseball Simulator 1.000 had flaming pitches...If there was ever a baseball game for non-sports gamers...This would be it...It's freakin' phenominal...It represents the pinnacle of 2d baseball games...You not buying this would be the equivalent of a non-fighting genre fan not purchasing Street Fighter II.
Are there seasons in the TGCD version? I might gift it for my buddy for christmas.
Baseball Stars 2 is a Neo Geo game...Not sure if this question is in reference to Baseball Stars 2, but if so...Sadly no this game does not have a traditional seasons mode...It's more arcadey, you play a 25 game season, there are little sim elements in this game, unlike Baseball Stars for the NES...It is a fantastic game though, I really cannot say enough good things about the engine in this game, it is so fun to play.

I can seriously not believe they put pokemon snap out.. lol..

Put out shining force 2 damnit -_-V Pokemon snap my brother has for n64 still.. and he rebought it.. argh.
Can anyone else connect to Shop Channel?

10 seconds in I get a: index.html not found on server.
They might be updating it for the gift feature.

Same here. 'Down for maintenance.'

Has anybody here bought Pokemon Snap? Does it hold up well? I've never played it, and it would be nice to have a relaxing game to play once in awhile.
