DLC #2 *is* for SvR, not LoW.

Pics up of Doink, Bushwhackers, Earthquake, and Vader.

I just sold off my LoW, so I'm glad this is coming to the game I like.
Same here, I was surprised how easy the 1000 nerd points were to obtain in LoW, I dumped it off on Goozex earlier this week. I usually don't get "roster additions" (Darth Vader in SCIV, the earlier pack for SvR, etc) but this is somewhat tempting. I'll wait for feedback...somehow I doubt the Bushwhackers are going to have their finisher or wacky marching taunt (unless they're both already in there and I somehow missed it).

Sweet, even if I'll be up in Detroit tomorrow afternoon through Sunday.
What you doin' in the D?

And still Smackdown has no champion.

1. Mr. Kennedy drafted to Raw (from SmackDown).
2. Shad drafted to SmackDown (from Raw).
3. Alicia Fox drafted to SmackDown (from ECW).
4. Primo drafted to Raw (from SmackDown).
5. Mike Knox drafted to SmackDown (from Raw).
6. Ezekiel Jackson drafted to ECW (from SmackDown).
7. Nikki Bella drafted to Raw (from SmackDown).
8. Candice Michelle drafted to SmackDown (from Raw).
9. Zack Ryder drafted to ECW (from SmackDown).
10. Chavo Guerrero drafted to Raw (from SmackDown).
11. Ricky Ortiz drafted to SmackDown (from ECW).
12. Layla drafted to SmackDown (from Raw).
13. Hornswoggle drafted to Raw (from ECW).
14. DH Smith drafted to ECW (from SmackDown).
15. John Morrison drafted to SmackDown (from ECW).
16. Carlito drafted to Raw (from SmackDown).
17. Natalya drafted to ECW (from SmackDown).
18. Festus drafted to Raw (from SmackDown).
19. JTG drafted to SmackDown (from Raw).
20. Dolph Ziggler drafted to SmackDown (from Raw).
21. The Brian Kendrick drafted to Raw (from SmackDown).
22. Charlie Haas drafted to SmackDown (from Raw).
23. Hurricane Helms drafted to ECW (from SmackDown).
24. Brie Bella drafted to Raw (from SmackDown).

I'm predicting Hawkins, Ryder, Hornswoggle and Jesse are getting released. Natalya, Kidd, and DH Smith on ECW makes me think we're getting that Hart Foundation team still.

My guess is that when the DLC is released we'll 'magically' get DLC transfer support at some point. We better, at least, or I'll be pissed.

Two champions on one show. I really thought Cena would go to smackdown since the game came to raw. Maybe Cena will lose his title to Edge at the pay per view, and the title will be on smackdown. Even thought I really doubt that will happen, but it is a possiblity.

Or Punk could use his MITB title match at Backlash against either Triple H or Cena, after they win their matches. I'd prefer he use it on Cena, and turn heel while doing so.

I thought of that as well. I wouldn't mind C.M Punk being champ again, but for some reason I don't think that will happen.

I doubt WWE will make their Straight-Edge Superstar a heel, what with the media's watchful eye on their drug policies.

No kiddin'. No taunt, no sale. I would like audible "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAH!" and "YEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!" taunts, as well. But I'm realistic.

What you doin' in the D?

academic conference at th' Hyatt in Dearborn. I'll be there through Sunday morning. PM me if you wanna go drinkin' or somesuch.
Any bets on how long it'll take Jesse to get future endeavor'd?
Isn't Jesse the son of Terry Bam Bam Gordy? I cant picture Michael Hayes who does Smackdown booking letting him get released.

WWE.com says $4.99/400 points this Thursday for both systems. Sweet, even if I'll be up in Detroit tomorrow afternoon through Sunday.
like others have said.. this should totally be for LOW.. not fucking smackdown.. it doesnt fit in at all..

anyways on one of the doink screens you can see that theres no video on the titantron...(if its taken from the entrance). but the gold wwe from LOW does appear
Kennedy is back on Raw!!!!..................................Only to get f'ing hurt again for the 100th time. Ugh it sucks to be a Kennedy fan :(
agreed

It's like being a Ken Griffey, Jr. fan.

Good thing I'm not one of those, either.

As long as Vader's got his corner splash and 'Quake's got a proper Assbomb O' Doom, I'm in. I'm pretty sure Luke & Butch will have their taunts, and I'm holding out hope that they'll add the Battering Ram as a corner double-team move at least.

Kinda predicting some variation of a running powerslam for both of them though, sorta like when they had to give Hawk & Animal finishers despite never really having individual moves.
Morrison to SD! I hope they put him into a feud with Rey for the IC title.
The real question is... will Morrison continue to keep showing up on all three brands every week? ;)

To give you an idea of how badly Smackdown got raped in this "draft", here's the list of face wrestlers currently on the show.

Charlie Haas, CM Punk, Jeff Hardy, Jesse, Jimmy Yang, JTG, Kung Fu Naki, Rey Mysterio, Ricky Ortiz, R-Truth, Shad, Khali, and Undertaker. They've also got Kennedy, which hinges on whether or not he ever actually wrestles again.

Of those, the only credible champions (if the show even had a belt) are Punk, Hardy, Mysterio, and Undertaker - and even that's a bit of a stretch as Mysterio's currently in possession of the IC belt. 'Course, that doesn't say much when the only credible heel champions on the show are Edge, Jericho, and Kane.

I like Smackdown's Roster. No HHH, no Cena. Tons of fresh faces. I totally dig it.

And I see either Punk cashing in the MITB briefcase or someone stealing it from him to use it.

Everybody shows up on every show.

What the hell "show" were Miz and Morrison on before Monday, anyway?

(that's rhetorical, folks. it doesn't matter, because they wrestled 2-3 shows a week.)
fuck

Both Bellas to RAW. Vince, you bastard.
Well, at least you get to see Alicia Fox and Layla for what its worth my good man.

Also, Natalya to ECW isn't a surprise because she is on their with Kidd the last couple of times I caught ECW. They did try to do the New Hart Foundation in OVW with Teddy Hart, DH Smith, and Natalya so we shall see.

I guess I will try to catch Superstars on WGN tonight if I remember. WGN is out of Chicago so I know they come on here through Comcast but I wonder which places it doesn't come on.

I wonder what led to them putting the kibosh on the New Hart Foundation in WWE. Instant recognition, instant heat.

Instead of "who's the guy with the brazilian wax on his head on ECW?"

I think they tried adding Teddy Hart to the mix in OVW for a minute (as that's as long as Hart lasted in WWE, surprise, surprise).

Because Vince and his staff don't use basic logic when writing for his programming. They will most likely make it happen on ECW though since they really don't have any good stable on there at all.

Alicia will be nice. I saw Layla last year but a replay wouldn't hurt.

I just wanted to see those twins though. They put the ol' Sonic in this Guile's Boom.

They are very nice on the eyes so I understand.

I just thought about something the Hart family is one of the best families in wrestling and the most famous of them for last few years is Natalya which makes me smile that the one girl is doing better then all of the boys in her family.

I guess Carlito and Primo would travel between shows now since they are still carrying around both the Raw and Smackdown belts. But if I had to guess they're going to get squashed by Rhodes/Dibiase.

Bet. I'm going to try to get as much work as done today as possible so I'm not here forever on Friday night, hopefully I'll actually be able to accomplish something barring any of the usual catastrophes. PM shall follow.

Regarding SvR 09, I just picked it up the other day. How can they put Guile's hair in there and then not have the goddamn flash kick as a selectable finisher?

I think the idea went away when Teddy Hart got canned the last time. Is Tyson Kidd connected to Natalya or the Harts in some way outside of WWE?

Word, KR.

Dunno about Kidd. He went by "The Stampede Kid" TJ Wilson prior to being copyright protected by WWE renamed Tyson Kidd. He was always in the NHF stable in OVW, so I guess I just make that association.

Kidd's goin' places, man. His face is natural for a heel; wanna slap the fuckin' shit out of that smug grin. Incredible look, and a somewhat fun wrestler to watch.

By James Caldwell, PWTorch.com assistant editor

Mr. Kennedy says his shoulder injury is not healing and it could become a permanent injury he has to deal with for the remainder of his wrestling career. Kennedy says he's trying not to think about retirement despite his shoulder's poor condition.

Kennedy was scheduled to visit with Dr. James Andrews in Alabama on Monday to re-evaluate the injury. He says he'll have a better idea of his future in wrestling this week.

"I'm going to find out from Dr. Andrews if that's going to be a permanent thing, and I'll have to deal with it, or if there's something more that we can do," Kennedy told Jim Varsallone in the Miami Herald. "I'd rather be a part of it (WWE) and contribute. I think I have a lot to contribute because there are a lot of things that I have yet to accomplish that nobody really has seen out of me."

Kennedy says he's been on the sidelines for eight months and he's tired of sitting at home. If he can't get back in the ring, he says he would like to be a trainer for the younger wrestlers. He just doesn't want to go there in his mind.

"I'd like to help out, give back to the younger generation coming up," Kennedy said. ''I shouldn't talk like that now because I'm relatively young myself, but I know I'm not getting any younger. So I see myself stepping in a role like that."

Caldwell's Analysis: Over the past several months, Kennedy described his injury as serious, but not career-threatening. Apparently it's becoming career-threatening because the injury is refusing to heal. It's a drastic change for Kennedy, who was optimistic he would be healed before WrestleMania 25, and now he's not even sure if he will be able to return to wrestling. Stay tuned.

Wasn't he some kind of asshole or something? I think that is what I heard.

Kennedy can hang out in the waiting room with Tom Glavine. He's supposed to be seeing Dr. Andrews real soon as well, maybe even Monday. Dr. Andrews has to be pulling in major bank. He's THE go to guy for joint injuries for athletes.

There's a pretty fantastic article about Hulk Hogan in the latest Rolling Stone (Kings Of Leon on the cover). Covers mostly his last few years and how he's adapted to life after wrestling and his divorce, and includes the whole "I understand OJ" thing that's been making the rounds lately. I assume it's available on Rolling Stone's website, but if not, I'll try and scan it.

I sorta want to meet the guy.

Wish I had the money to see him about my knee years ago after injuring it in basketball. It still gives me problems nine years after I stopped playing.
Well the first match of Superstars is Undertaker vs. Matt Hardy.
I'll check it out. I have WGN America and I dig the new look/attitude of Hardy.

Teddy Hart's been an arrogant prick since he started in the business - he's so damn full of himself because of his family's name despite not really doing anything in wrestling. There's PLENTY of stories of indie feds refusing to work with him because he's such an ass. Dude feeds off his own ego and believes his own hype to the point where he honestly believes that he should be given a place in wrestling 'cause he's a Hart.

Well, they actually switch between annouce teams based on show. Now, it is Christian vs. Finlay for a chance to face wack ass Swagger at Backlash.

I think Swagger is a decent wrestler, but he has absolutely NO BUSINESS on a mic. His lisp is horrible. Could you imagine a war of words between Cody Rhodes and Jack Swagger? Or a tag team of the two? Man, that is an ugly thought. I half expect their catchphrases to be Sufferin' Succotash.
