The "WWF No Mercy Memorial Wrestling Thread" that isn't actually a Memorial Thread
TNA ran an ad for their show at the Tennessee State Fairgrounds/The Asylum during WWE Raw tonight. The promoted the event as being "the last time ever(or something to that effect)" that they'll run a show at The Asylum. Considering that they usually make one appearance in Nashville a year, is that a sign that even TNA knows that they won't be in business a year from now?
No. The fairgrounds are being sold or shut down or something. Mayor's orders. It was supposed to happen at the end of June, but I guess they delayed it a bit.
Crippled Kevin Nash can barely walk without injuring himself. Remember his last stint in WWE? He blew his knee out in a tag match by entering the ring.
He was pretty durable in TNA - I don't remember him suffering anything major aside from that nasty elbow infection, or somehow coming down with a heart attack symptom when he was going to do a job. That cleared up pretty quickly, amazingly enough. In the ring, it's Nash - the guy was never known for being a five-star worker. He was there to work like a giant, and he was still able, on occasion, to have some good matches in TNA. He had a fantastic one on Impact against Angle, a good one with Foley on PPV for the Legendary Global TV Title, and a good one against AJ on Impact.

He'd be fine as a guy in a part-time legends role. He'd be PERFECT for the old school Raw coming up. He wants to face 'Taker at 'Mania, and I certainly would to - easy high six/low seven figure payday, and WWE is desperate for stars right now. He picked a great time to not re-sign with TNA, because WWE will be more open to spending money on older talent than they were before in order to make the new guys into bigger stars. I don't know if I like the idea of him in the Rumble - he couldn't top his 9 or whatever it was eliminations in the '90s, and if they were going to have anyone do that spot now, it should be Sheamus. I think they could bring him in, have him beat a few Ryders of the world, and then have him face Sheamus to further cement him as a serious threat.

According to MSNBC, Linda McMahon just got curbstomped. I mean we all knew it was gonna happen, but it still brings a smile to my face to see that it's official :D

CNN just projected for Blumenthal, but 52-46 is hardly a curbstomp. :) About 2% of precincts reporting.

The delay in the closing might have been because of the terrible flood back in May. It probably became a "we've got bigger fish to fry right now" kind of thing.
so what happ to Val debuting on raw?
I believe Val ran into Bree Olson at the airport on the way to Raw and decided to return to his "acting" career instead.

NSFW(Language) Proof via Bree's Twitter:
At Vegas airport with cum all over my face. Whatever. Even for people that don't know I'm Bree Olson, at least they'll know I'm a whore.
:rofl::rofl::rofl:

HOLY SHIT!!! The commentary during the Goldust wedding is AMAZING! NXT = Best WWE Show on the air today.:rofl::rofl:

I agree, ever since NXT was thrown off tv it has really gotten hilarious just cause they could get away with so much and it doesnt take itself as serious anymore. Cole has been absolutely on fire these past couple of weeks.
???

share with us, please.
Josh broke the forth wall by saying the wedding wasn't real.

Other gems:

"Josh: Whose going home tonight? Cole: I don't care. I'm texting my wife. Josh: Tell her I say hi. She'll know what it means."

Cole: "Oh, that's good. Eliminate the hottest one. That's smart."

Ted Dibiase Sr. showed up and performed the wedding.

Ever since I saw those Demolition figures a while back I've been waitin'. First wrestling figures I've bought (or preordered, anyway) in well over 10 years. Warrior with the WM VII outfit is cool. Don't like the face on the Savage one, but the shirt is boss.

Looking forward to Raw on Monday quite a bit just to see if there's any noticable change. Odds on a Blumenthal midget?

Wonders what you can get away with when Vince McMahon isn't in the gorilla position.
That is pure genius. I'll be watching this week's NXT before I catch up with RAW. :whistle2:#

And I don't buy a lot of figures, but I'll be getting Bam Bam and Macho Man. Mattel is doing a star class job with the WWE license. :)
Nash comes in, powerbombs a couple of midcard guys, and gets eliminated toward the end by whatever young star they want to push? He's generally been all for helping young talent, so I'd be fine with it.

Punk's "hip" injury is believed to be a torn tendon in his ass or hip. fuck, that sounds AWFUL.
Worst part is they say it was just a fluke and occured when Edge hit him with a DDT during the Bragging Rights match. Sucks for Punk, but it sounds like they wanna keep him on TV. I wouldn't mind having him on commentary til the injury heals.

Ted DiBiase has the greatest laugh in the history of all mankind and laughs.

Edit: "Agent Dickholpapulous"

"Who'sitgonnabeColegorightnow?!"
"Uuuh, don't care."

Cole - "I thought Cody and Goldust hated each other?"
Josh - "You know this isn't a real wedding, right?!"
Cole - "It's FAKE?! No!! ... You just blew the entire night for me."

Cole - "This is what the WWE is all about ... family."
Josh - *laughs*

Cole - "OH!! Best part of the show ... in six months."

Cole - "Do you realize we still have 4 more weeks of this? Ohh my. NXT, GO AWAY."

Who would have ever thought that listening to Michael Cole on commentary would be amazing? It's a shame that it had to be in a "I don't give two shits about what's going on" capacity, but, hey, it's entertaining the crap out of me at least.

Wait, what?

Wait...whaaaat?

Wait.

WHAT

...

(And does Hulk Hogan keep Jimmy Hart locked in a trunk, or what? I thought I saw a leather gimp suit at the opening scene.)

I can't wait for the Macho Man vs. Hogan RAP BATTLE MASH UP OMGZ videos to pop up on YouTube.

And if they don't, well.... someone has to make one, right? .... right?!

Hogan really sounds like Kenny Powers in this video. And this is the same Hulk who once rubbed tanning lotion onto his daughters ass while they were sunbathing.
Why the hell is Hulk Hogan whipping his Hulk Jr. at me?
He saw your lesbian toy post

Yup DOR2 was my fav... awesome freakin game.

I played AAA a few times.. it really wasnt good. I still enjoyed it briefly just for the videos and spanish commentary

Someone find this. Now.

From the "WWE had to love this" department, there is an edition of NXT that is out to to the masses that has no Michael Cole/Josh Matthews commentary but rather the production channel, where we can hear the producer (who I am 99.9% sure is Kevin Dunn) giving cues to people. You can hear said producer and Matt Striker doing their thing. Striker you are supposed to hear. Producer (and his cursing) not so much.

There are versions of the show out on various sharing sites, one of which has already been shut down. It is truly a view behind the curtain as to how things are done in WWE.

I heard from a source in WWE that said WWE is aware that the wrong version of the show is out there and they are not happy about it.
