Because they look cool. ..And then you go to play them. :whistle2:(

I've almost learned my lesson from that one. Almost.
I don't learn my lesson, I'm already planning to get Final Fantasy Tactics

Ahhhhhhh it begins! Starting this week I'm going to be buying too much!

Damn it all...

Was anyone able to find Victorious Boxers Revolution for the Wii yet? I haven't seen it anywhere in my area...
I don't learn my lesson, I'm already planning to get Final Fantasy Tactics
That's the first and only SRPG I've ever beaten, and that was like 7-8 years ago. I've never gotten anywhere near the end of another one.

so since i dont think im gonna be able to find someone to trade me blue dragon for stranglehold im thinkin of just trading in my old xbox at gs and pickin up blue dragon for $20 out of my pocket and $40 from the xbox trade in along with the 10% off coupon

good idea?
old xbox isnt gonna get much more than that anyway i think

I don't think I've ever beaten one. I got close in Fire Emblem, but the need to keep all my characters alive made me quit. Too much pressure :p

I played through all of HL2: Episode 2 today. I enjoyed it more than Episode 1, which I thought was absolutely fantastic. I agree that it does suck that now we have to wait a while for Episode 3. :(

I'll probably play through the Halo 3 campaign a little more and some Blue Dragon when I'm not playing TF2.

I am playing FFT:Remake on my PSP. It is sweet. I haven't played the PSX version in years. I am going to play some serious HL2 on my 360.

I did, and I'm not, and I won't.

I will say that talking about those things isn't so bad, but requesting or offering the illegal things that go with those things is the bad part.. Won't argue with CAG, though. It's probably for the better to remove it altogether.

So im gonna put up a ton of my games on the ebay. I just dont play them and I dont see myself wanting to finish/pick them back up anytime soon.
Reminder to all of you lamenting that you can't talk emulators in here: You can't talk emulators in here. Directly or hypothetically.
No talking about emulators. Period.
So im gonna put up a ton of my games on the ebay. I just dont play them and I dont see myself wanting to finish/pick them back up anytime soon.
I should do that to many of my PS2 games and so on. I'm sitting on a 250+ game backlog and my time to play games has gone down the drain. :whistle2:( I could really use money since I'm starving myself to save money at times.

Anyway, played some PGR4 last night. I'm debating what day I'll end my streak of playing a video game every single day since March 2003. I need to end it because I'm kind of forcing myself to play a game everyday (even when I don't want to). I just worry I won't want to play games much more if I stop, so I keep going.

I really haven't had much time for gaming the last few days. I've been playing a little bit of Paper Mario:TTYD at home while still slowly slogging my way through FF V Advance on my break at work.

I haven't heard anything lately about the upcoming release of Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None for the Wii. Most sites still have it with a release date of Nov 5. Anyone planning on supporting one of the first point-and-click adventure games for the Wii? My girlfriend has played thru the PC version and enjoyed it.

My friend really enjoys crackdown. I had to pull him away so I could get in some GRAW2 online co-op with my co-workers. Unfortunately, I think I enjoyed GRAW2 more than he did. I wanted to keep going, but had to stop 'cause he seemed tired of it. I let him and my other friend try the Simpsons demo instead. Since they had little to no previous experience with it, they were at it for like an hour and half before finally completing it. In contrast, when I ran it through it with one of them the first time, we did it in 9 minutes. I have to say I personally enjoyed Simpsons more co-op than single player.

been playing rune factory quite a bit, and I'm enjoying it alot. other than that, playing some forza 2, and for the first time I've played the series, it's a lot of fun.

Playing Wind Waker and the game is starting to get great, so I'm happy about that. Though this really does make me want to start a new game of OOT, and actually finish it this time. Farthest I ever got was the Water Temple, and I dunno why I stopped coz I luvz that game.

Wind Waker still definitely isn't better than TP though. Or LTTP.

Lot's of people stopped at the Water Temple I heard. It was a pretty annoying temple to get through.
LttP>WW> all other Zeldas.
Agreed

I found Sonic Rush Adventure for $12.99 today. I think the local store must have thought it was the old DS Sonic game. Oh well. Daroga said it's good and that's good enough for me.

I'm in twoson in Earthbound. This game is awesome. Especially when you can put it in turbo mode for dungeons.. every RPG should double speed up time in dungeons, they'd be 400% better games.

MS just kicked everyone's ass.

PS2 sales are finally starting to slow down. Really good month for Microsoft. Surprising that they beat the Wii. Nintendo still sells nearly a million hardware units a month, killing everyone in the process, lol.

And Heavenly Sword=Bomba

funny thing, just came from my local best buy and they have 4 wii's just sitting in the entrance of the store. first time I've seen wii's just readily available anywhere here in town.

happened to buy phantom hourglass from some guy on craigslist (guy was a complete douche) for $20, so i'll probably be playing that tonight.
Wow. When was the last time a non Nintendo system was the best selling?
I think PS2 beat it for a month earlier in the year, but not for more than a month since Wii's release.

It's not like 360 blew it out of the water. This is almost certainly the 360's BIGGEST title for it's entire lifespan and hardware sales barely edge out the Wii on a month that the Wii had almost nothing worthwhile? Wow. Good that they won, but Nintendo must be laughing.

I still haven't seen a Wii in at a store.

My 360 finally decided to give me the red lights of death, so I'll be putting in some hours on my PC and DS until I get it back sometime in November. Although I think I'm going to start with Indigo Prophecy on the original Xbox. I still haven't gotten around to it. Now is as good a time as ever.
I think im gonna keep just my favorite games and the ones I plan to work through. Everything else is ebay fodder.
Good shit. Throughout the summer of this year I got rid of 50-70 games out of my collection. I just realized I had bought too much stuff and didn't have time to play everything. Also it's hard to get to back-catalog games when new ones come out to snag your attention.

As for what I'm playing. I beat Half-Life 2 yesterday and I'm almost done with Episode 1. I beat these two before on PC, but it has been such a blast playing through them again on Xbox 360.

I'll probably start Half-Life 2: Episode 2 as soon as I get back into town on Sunday.

Ha ha, my Halo 3 nerd box finally came from Worst Buy.com. Yeah yeah I know welcome to last month. Anyway, it's actually not bad timing as now I can play co-op with my friend while he's in town. So it'll be that and maybe more GRAW2 over XBL w/the co-workers again.

Sonic Rush Adventure is pretty good.

Oni is weird. Probably some of the best move/aim controls on the system, though. For some reason I just can't stand playing these kinds of games, 3rd or 1st person on a dual shock, it always feels too floaty, but Bungie must know something nobody else does, cause it works here. The game is kinda ass, but it's got a lot of Bungie trademarks in it, and it feels kind of how those early 3rd person halo viceos probably were going to play. The combat is pretty fun too, but the difficulty is really poorly balanced.

I might play oblivion, EDF 2017, or finish Bioshock tonight. Are there any other EDF lovers in the house?

It still blows my mind as to why the Wii is selling so much.

It makes no sense.

When I was at Walmart the whole bottom shelf was full of wii's. I'd guess there were at least 10.

I just got gold on the Least Portals Challenge for Test Chamber 14. What I riot! I thought it was going to be impossible, then I was like "wait a minute..."

I love these Least Portal challenges. In one level I was behind a weighted test cube, crawling around a room, knocking over turrets. I just had this evil laugh the whole time. So much fun.

People need to stop making paper companion cubes and start making user made maps.

Yeah the Water Temple was the worst temple IMO. It wasn't hard just more so annoying then anything. You can really fuck up and get stuck some where and not be able to beat it if you end up saving it where you fucked up. Although you do fight "dark link" and that battle alone was awesome. If you just fought him with the master sword that is, and didn't do the cheap way of beating him. Plus you get the long shot after that which is the shit. IMO OOT, TP, LTTP, WW, and the rest.

played a lot of phantom hourglass tonight and I have to say, it's really good stuff. I'm enjoying a lot, by far the frist zelda game I've played in a very long that drags me into it and I actually want to play.

also picked up phoenix wright justice for all for $12, and paid off trials & tribulations as well. next week is going to be filled with phoneix wright goodness.

I'd like to finish off justice for all but man some of those cases near the end really got boring. I've heard Trials and Tribulations is the best one and most revered in the series in japan, so I hope they're more interesting. I don't know why, but I just lost interest on the 4th case of Justice for all.

I managed to find a reasonably fast download site, so I d'led the Hellgate London, Unreal Tournament 3, and Call of Duty 4 demos. Might grab the Timeshift demo later on. But yeah, after class, Ima give this shit a shot.

I started playing Dino Crisis 3 and wow...what the fuck? The guy dies in 3 hits, and with this shit camera it's pretty hard to dodge the dinos when they lunge at you, taking an assload of damage. I'm playing on normal too. I might not even bother with this one if it plays like this the whole game.

Unreal Tournament 3 is made of win. This is what a multiplayer shooter should feel like.

So yeah, buying it. What demo to try next? Hmm... Hellgate, methinks.

Unreal is tyte.

Almost done with the last case in Phoenix Wright 2 (mega spoilerz):

cracked my shit up when Matt Engarde shows his true form. the swirling glass of cognac is made of win.

but the last case is freaking serious! Maya getting kidnapped, Phoenix knowingly defending a murderer, Franziska getting shot, codependency, suicide, glasses spontaneously shattering multiple times over the course of a minute...this is bleaker than all the games that try hard as fuck to be "gritty and edgy." Really makes up for the circus case.

Yeah, the last case of Justice For All was fuckin' great.

What else is great? Hellgate London. Or at least it definitely has the potential to be. The unfortunate thing is that, while this all runs fine, I don't want to play any of these games until I get my new computer, because I want this shit to look as good as it possibly can. And it can look... pretty damn good.
Call of Duty 4 is iffy. I dunno. I didn't enjoy shooting people as much as I should have.
demo kinda sucked, eh?

The hecticness of CoD2 was there, but it was almost too hectic-- I didn't feel like I really had to kill anyone. also, the crouching/standing system is an ordeal in itself. I don't understand why it has to be toggle-able. That works on the 360, but not so much on the PC.

My issue with it - and this is an issue I have with a lot of FPSes - is that there's simply no feeling of power behind the guns. Really. The weapons aren't fun to fire, it's not fun to watch people die, and you can't shoot up the environments and have a satisfying effect. It's got the intensity down, but it just isn't fun. Level design also appears to take a backseat, once again. Seriously, guys, I'm sick of fucking shooting galleries. ZOMG there's arabs in the windows instead of Nazis now? Blow me.

So yeah, looks like a definite pass for me. Oh well, Hellgate and UT3 were both clear winners.

Hopefully The Witcher will turn out... since I think that's the only other game that isn't guaranteed to be calidad.
