I'm going to watch L' Esquive tonight.
Well it was ok. Kind of like a french Kids with all the drugs and sex replaced with a school play.

The ending was a bit abrupt though ... not just once, but twice.
Cool. I'll check it out, along with Oldboy. I'm also looking forward to seeing (Gus Van Sant's) Last Days.
Last Days sucked ass.

Went to see Saw2 last night and it rocked hard.
Who's going to see Jarhead tomorrow? This might be my first visit to the theaters in over a year.
I might, depends if anyone else wants to go.
I might, depends if anyone else wants to go.
I'll go with you. We'll call it a date ;)
Sure, but you've got to come to me. ;)
I'd go with ya subby, but I haven't managed to see the first one yet (i know, i know, horrible) i should really see it...

I watched SWIII on dvd, and was saddened by the complete lack of extras, oh well...

last movie I saw in theaters was "Elizabethtown", which, well, wasn't horrible, but was like an existential chick flick from a guy's POV. weird.

Thanks for the thought anyway. ;)

Well, Orlando Bloom is just about as close as you can get to a woman without major surgery, so ...

Not really a movie but.........
The Mars Volta live at Lowlands Festival bootleg
pretty dissapointing, thought they'd be great live, eh.
I saw Jarhead yesterday.
Well how was it? I need to know if it's worth seeing even if I have to do it alone.

Strongly debating it. It's getting lukewarm reviews. I can't wait to see "Walk The Line", though, opening night i'm there.. 5 reviews on that so far, all 5 100%.. they had to sing their own lines too, it looks and sounds amazing.

I saw Jarhead yesterday.

Right, and how's that, when it opens tomorrow?

I want to see "Walk the Line," too. I was a bit worried when I heard Phoenix bash his performance, saying that it was shit. I think he's just being hard on himself. He sounds a hell of a lot like Cash. The movie looks good.

Could've been a sneak preview, Scorch. I think that one of the theatres here had one early this week.

Kid's like 15 years old.

I hope to see it sunday. Hopefully it won't be a 180-minute long Over There special.
I watched clerks last night, got it from sblymnlcrymnal (sp?)
Eh, close enough.

I'm thinking of Ginger Snaps w/ commentary now. Yeah, I went from 8 1/2 to that. Still not sure.

Think I'll do Saw uncut with Commentary by director and elwes and whannel tomorrow. Sidebar: does it seem incredibly bizarre(wow I can't remember how to spell bizarre, how biszare)/random to show a 3 hour movie on a thursday evening on ABC instead of regular programming? I'm not annoyed, just confused :whistle2:k

edit: what do ya know, I did spell bizarre correctly

Nope, noticed The Thing From Another World was on TCM and watched it instead, still holds up pretty well after all these years, even if the ending is a little cheesy/heavy-handed.

I just watched Life as a House on DVD,
I actually enjoyed it more than I thought I would, character development and the characters themselves were done really well
Jarhead

fucking amazing. Very different than any other war movie.
Jarhead here as well, and I agree.. to an extent. The first 30 minutes were freakin' hilarious, but the movie had one major flaw, and i'm not going to list it here.. no spoilers.

/edit: And it was weird as hell to hear Nirvana in the movie.
Jarhead, thought it was pretty damn good. Jamie Foxx was amazing.
Yeah, he was. Though we got to see more of Jake than we ever wanted to.

So was that really Nirvana. I couldnt really tell if it was or not; never heard that song before.

Man on the Moon

Really good movie. Shows how insane Kaufmann's life was. Carrey was amazingly brilliant and pulled Andy off perfectly.
Saw Jarhead on Friday. Pretty good movie, although it was a lot different than what I expected.
What were you expecting and what was it like?

I'll probably see Jarhead and Good Night, and Good Luck this week.

I saw Legend of Zorro last week and it was a lot of fun.

Matrix Reloaded yesterday, pretty good. I had forgotten a lot about it since seeing it in theaters. I can't wait until they get Revolutions on in a few months, hopefully. I want to catch The Hulk whenever USA is showing it, as I missed the premiere on Halloween.
