Got a R-Zone holiday gift guide in the mail today. A couple of good coupns in there:

Save $10 on Sega 2 packs

$10 off an Nintendo purchase $100 or more

Save $5 off any Disney Video Game

The most interesting is one that is $10 off any two Video games $19.99 or LESS. Obviously a misprint but it will be interesting to see if they will honor it. Probably not.

Anyone else get these? The coupons are good starting Dec 3rd

The ATL Duluth store is just trashed!! I was there last night and picked thru the mess. The Northpoint Mall store was pretty bad, too.

In contrast, I was at the Buford store this morning. The green tags are gone, but there is a very nice selection of the 2 for $30 ($10 ea w/coupon) games for all 3 platforms. Unlike the other two stores I hit, the Buford store was very neat, clean, and well-stocked.

I picked up

XIII, Kingdom Hearts, Xenosaga Part 1, and SSX Tricky.

They still had a bunch of games there. The one that I saw there i was sort of questionable about was RPG Maker 2 (?) that was green stickered. Did pick it up since it still had the 49.99 price tag on it.

I thought for 4 games I spent around 26 dollars.

She smiled and said, "that's awesome". Anyway, I am completely finished with this sale. I seemed as it went on the games I'm getting seemed to get worse and worse so I must stop because my game library is starting to look like crap.

Thsy just didn't have much at my TRU. I paid $17.50 and got Aria of Sorrow and Wing Commander Prophecy for the GBA. WC was $7.50 and Castlevania was $20

Will sliced bread become rare/valuable? I can't afford these rising prices, back to unsliced bread for me :cry:
 
For most green tag games the system will not let you use the coupon, but it did for Fighter Maker 2 (PS2) and the grand total was $1.00! From what I've heard though, that price may still be too high.
 
Searched my TRUS in Staten Island for an hour looking for some Green Tag games that were 70% off, and then to use the coupon on top of that. Guy was really nice and price checked like 30 games for me. They didnt have XIII for X-Box (which I really wanted) so I picked it up for PS2. I also got Silpheed for PS2. $4.98 for XIII and $2.99 for Silpheed. Total before coupon with tax - $8.66. AFTER COUPON $0.00. NADA...Cashier just smiled and said WOW. Then I left with a smile. Thanks CAG!

Still looking for Mafia on X-Box if anyone has an extra!

At my local TRU, the one I hit up like 3 times already... they had two signs saying "Do not accept photo copies of this coupon." Then they had a coupon that I used at that store taped to the sign. I thought it was hilarious. Didn't get anything today :\

Damn, you must of made out like gang busta's at that TRU. I took the covert route and used the coupon 3 times. First two times I picked up 2 games then 6. The third and final time I got 12. Now I'm done, I've gotten everything worth getting but I didn't get multiple copies of one game because I wanted to leave stuff for any fellow CAG'rs.

Anyway, 6 PM on the eastcoast now and most if not all TRU have closed. The west coast still has 3 more hours to get in on the cheapness.

But for the east coast. A moment of silence for the end of what could be the greatest CAG deal ever.

Amen, Amen I say to thee. CAG strikes black for Christmas deals. Thanks to the OP, and everyone who helped me with the PMs and coupons necessary to get those deals. Quite frankly, since CAG my game collection has nearly tripled. While my Bank account stays relatively at the same point (Though quitting smoking helped).

I'm central time as well, had one last go today. A few prices had dropped since I was in last, got Mafia (Xbox) for $5 and Trival Pursuit (PS2) for $4, along with some common freebies like Primal and Bloodrayne. Thanks again, OP!

Today I encountered a beast I had read about, but had never seen with my own eyes......

the Rabid Hoarder

I picked up about fifteen games the other day at a store that still had a good stock. I went today to a different store and walked down the PS2 19.99 or less aisle. There was nothing. I mean nothing.

I turn around and see him. He had a basketfull. Almost every green tag was in there. Games were stacked up like mad on the counter. He had 5 to 10 copies of DMC, AtL, BGE, Xenosaga, Red Faction, Perfect Dark etc. He was either too stupid, too lazy or to preoccupied with hoarding to figure how much each game would cost, so he kept pointing out to the frustrated clerk games he didn't want as they rang up. It was ridiculous.

I kept hanging around to see what he had. He started looking like Gollum with the ring, pulling the basket away. The other clerk gets free so I pull him aside and ask him what he has in the back.

Siren, Hitman, BGE, DMC. He had more of all in the back but didn't want the hoarder to know. I get a handful of games and go the counter. Gollum the Game Eater asks where I got them, as if how dare I found games that he couldn't have. I commented sarcastically that there were still games left. He then has the nerve to ask me if I took games out of his basket!!

Now yes this was the last day of the sale. Yes TRU obviously just wants to clear out stuff. People had had thier chance, but I waited till the end, so that I could get the newest markdowns. All I wanted to do was shop. The guy has a right to the games, and if he wants 50 games fine, but to literally hoard EVERYTHING to prevent someone else from getting anything is pathetic. I mean he literally dumped everything they had so no one could shop.

Northeastern Ohio was about half cleaned by myself and my friend. I can say I am in possesion of 35 copies of Beyond Good and Evil and plan to start forcing people around me to take a copy because it's such a good game. Only one store rejected the coupon but not before a nice cashier rang up RE:CVX and La Pucelle for me for $6 total.
 
i got around 40 copies of street racketball (My cousin game them to me after they kept the cases) SO i now got 40 copies of a lame ps1 game sitting on the table looking at me ... she was going to use them as coaster but just gave them to me like i really have room for them...

EDIT: anyone know if you can keep video games next to a Speaker system without hurting the dvds.
 
just got back from TRU, they had more green tag games out, but not really that good...madden 2002, MK:DA, etc...i ended up getting two RE:CV, hitman 2, outlaw golf holidays, BG:DA, XIII, and 2 copies of castlevania...i could've got more since there was 5 or more copies of each game, but decided not to...Baldur's gate was 19.99, then i found a green tagged one at the bottom of the bin, eventually got it for free...i got 8 games for 16.00..not bad...anyone need XIII, RE:CV, hitman2, or castlevania...i have 1 extra copy of each...willing to trade if anyone has fatal frame 2, disgaea, xenosaga, or mafia..thanks

I'm not sure what you're asking. If you mean by placing ps2 games next to a speaker, I wouldn't think so. Unless your speaker was emitting magnetic waves or the decibel levels were high enough to shatter glass, then you'd have something to worry about :lol:
 
dang i regret not asking the people at the video game counter if they had more games in the back, since it was close to closing time..instead i got 2 copies of the same game

...and that's exactly what I did at the one I went to... they had no problem giving me copies of Jak 1, VF Evo, and Winning Eleven 6 from the back (they had that bulletproof area)... he even THANKED me for asking him because it's a bitch to move product when people don't even know it's available to buy, but I sure as hell moved it... :rofl:
 
TRU prices are inconsistent..i saw thesame titled games for over 20-30 and then luckily found the same games with the cheaper prices stashed at the bottom of the clearence bins

The games listed as Value Software all rang up as $2.99 for me so I got a copy of all the ones theyhad for PS2 (no multiples).

Big thanks to the OP and those who posted the coupons!

My TRU didn't have much left, but I paid 54 cents today (Shenmue 2 and MGS 2 Substance) and $3 two days ago for 4 games and a guide.

Seeing as how there isn't a CC in my area, this is easily the best deal I've ever been able to get in on!
 
I want to my other TRU today around 8pm, and didn't realize that they closed early today. I was really hoping to try and find cheap copies of Xenosaga and Castlevania:LOI. Nuts.

So all I got was XIII and RE: CV last week, which Im' still pretty happy about, but if I could've foind these 2, it would have been that much better.

Oh well. Maybe I can find 'em used somewhere...

Anyway, thanks to the OP and those who put the coupon up. This was great.
 
I didn't pay any attention to this thread until Thursday night! Stupid! I made up for it a little bit today though and got Mafia, RE:CVX, Maximo vs. Army of Zin, Fatal Frame II, Siren and XIII plus 6 guides for $52. Not too bad for a last minute purchase before the coupon expired.
 
I cleared out a TRU on the 31st a few hours before close. It seems like no one had hit the store yet, and seeing how it was the coupons last day I ransacked all of these for a total of 44.60. I overpaid on some Jampacks though, and am planning to return 4 of them to get about $10 back…do I have to do this at the store I bought them in or is it a bad idea to return them because of the massive receipt? Anyway, a wonderful New Years it was.
