Rikishi could hold the McDonalds Big Mac World Heavyweight Championship. ;)
Or the Ass Dimples/Cellulite World Heavyweight Championship.
Wow... that I did not expect out of you. That's easily the dumbest post you've ever made. The reality is I don't know Edge; however, I've met him a few times. The first of which I talked to him for awhile and he promised me some comp tickets, which I thought was cool as hell. No he didn't have to, but he agreed to do so. Anyway, drive down to the event that night, no tix... interesting. On a separate occasion I chanced to meet Matt Hardy, who offered tickets, those were there. Shock me, shock me, Sinead O'Rebellion.

I don't know who pissed in your post toasties today, and I have no idea who you're suggesting I'm wishing death upon, but the only one who NEEDS to grow up here is you. Your post was irrational, uninformed and inaccurate, o' righteous one.
You've wished death upon Holly in the past; I can't be bothered to go back and search for it. Just because nothing has ever been said in the past doesn't mean that it wasn't thought. I've ignored it every other time, but frankly, it's getting old. I've got nothing against you as a person or as a poster, but these posts where you spew bile at celebrities you don't like or feel are undeserving are a bit over the top, imo.

I'm done with that though, so feel free to attack me personally and call me a dumbass again but you'll get no further rise out of me on this subject.
I didn't know wishing ill upon Edge (on a video game message board mind you) would cause this... had I, I would've kept those thoughts to myself and friends in person that I talk to about wrestling. I've read every wrestling topic (obviously) and seen plenty of things of a similar nature (and worse), generally about people like Bubba Dudley, Test and Bob Holly and never seen such a backlash as a result.

Maybe it's the weather?
You know.. when I first read that, I thought you said "Maybe it's the wrestler?" which I actually thought was dead on. This guy isn't Test, Holly, or Brother Ray... this is Edge and a lot of people like him (I don't really..) So.. I think that explains the backlash. You have every right to express your opinion about the guy.. I mean this is an internet message board after all. But, when you phrase it as "I hope his career ends", as opposed to "I hope I never see this guy on my TV again", it's almost like you're asking for a flame war. I'm on your side though.. I don't think your comments warranted personal attacks... but I definitely understand where they're coming from.

I'm sure Matt Hardy broke out the champagne last tuesday night. Just a shame that he couldnt cap off the week wearing a nice US title. But, i'm sure Laurentitis (sp?) will die before Hardy holds a title that doesnt involve Jeff.

I've seen people basically saying the same thing towards Batista and other people, and all that really comes across as is that they don't want to such and such person on their television anymore.

When someone starts to hold personal grudges against a person, especially a person they've never met, and starts to wish ill-will towards them for reasons that aren't rational, someone needs to call them on it and tell them to chill out. Last time a discussion like this went on, Legend, in an off-handed manner suggested that he would have prefered that Bret had died instead of Owen.

Apparently I was the only one that caught that reference and when I called him on it, he whined to the mods to get me temp-banned. His only defense against me was that I was some kind of Bret Hart fanboy when that had nothing to do with it. It was about doing the right thing and in good moral standing I couldn't just let him spew cold, heartless nonsense like that and let him think that people would be all right with it.

Legend, with all due respect, and I'm saying this without any insults, you need to think about why people have an issue with how you dictate your personal attacks and ill-wishes towards wrestlers and celebrities.

It's not about how he is Edge, so it's not okay, but if it were Test or Holly, or Brother Ray, well then it would be cool. Do I hope they don't wrestle anymore? Yes. Do I hope they get forever injured? Of course not. That's the difference a lot of the people are speaking about and I hope you can realize that. Wishing injury on anyone, short of someone who has tried fucking with your family, is never all right.
Although, I am somewhat surprised (given some of the other absurd wrestlers who have been brought back temporarily) that he has yet to resurface in the WWE.
If I remember right, he was fired due to faking injuries. He'd tell WWE he's injured, then sit on his wideload ass and collect paychecks. They eventually caught on and canned him.

As for Trips, I'm hoping he buries Booker at Summerslam just so Booker can go back to being Booker T.

Yeah, I know I'm going to catch hell for this next comment. But I'm actually one of the guys that likes Edge. Can't explain it exactly why, but it's just he's good on the mic and usually pulls out good matches(unlike Cena, Batista or Lashley).

I too, like Edge but that's not the point.

The point is, it was impossible to take Rikishi seriously because he stuck other people's heads up his ass to finish them. If he had kept using that wicked piledriver-esque move he had when he first came to the WWE and hid that horrible pockmarked ass, he could've worked as a serious character.

Regarding Edge.....meh. It seems like he has decent mic skills, but I'm not the biggest fan of his in-ring ability. It doesn't really grasp my attention.

I think if they redid the music for the character instead of that dance theme he always had and made him more serious, his character would have worked a lot better. He also had to the stop wearing the thong as well.

I honestly think its possible to take a joke character and make them a serious heel or just a serious character in general. It's just that the character needs to presented in an entirely serious manner. Whenever Rikishi came out to that dance music, it threw out any sense of seriousness the character had, even if he did get shot however many number of times.

Edge put on great matches before he hurt his neck but after he came back all buffed up and people booed the hell out of him regardless of how much of a face he tried to be, his in ring ability fell off.
Regarding Edge.....meh. It seems like he has decent mic skills, but I'm not the biggest fan of his in-ring ability. It doesn't really grasp my attention.
He has very good matches, but few great ones. He's like someone like Kane - a reliable hand on the upper card, but not someone to go to when you need to get a stellar match against a wrestler (in singles matches, anyway, and not to demean how great he was during WWF's last great tag team heyday circa 99-00).

Edge needs to have less cheese as a character, IMO. He's lost the (pardon the phrase) edge he had when he was first the "Rated R Superstar." The WWE had a white-hot heel with him when Matt Hardy came back, but his "I'll say whatever is on my mind" attitude was ruined in hokey and forced segments like his "live sex celebration."

One moment in particular that stands out for me is an interview segment he did where Michael Hayes came out for some reason I've forgotten. Edge proceeds to rip apart Hayes as a bloated old drunk (par for the course so far, nothing earth-shattering). He then proceeds to infuriate Hayes by mocking the death of Terry Gordy. Now THEM'S fightin' words! Did I think real-life Edge was a bad person for saying that? I don't know and I don't care; what was important was that I wanted to see someone kick the living shit out of Edge right then and there. It was perfect.

Of course, WWE is very sensitive to anything "death" related at the moment, and rightly so. However, that doesn't mean that Edge, or anyone else, can't say anything controversial. It only limits them in one regard.

I don't think that's unique to Edge. I was laughing my ass off at the Booker T promo on Monday ("Jerome!"); while it was entertaining, it didn't make me want to see anyone kick Booker T's ass. What's the purpose of the segment, then? If I'm uninterested in paying $40 to see a fight, why are you putting this on my TV screen?

Long story short (too late), I think the WWE really needs to let their wrestlers cut loose on the mic. It is absolute *FOLLY* to script damn near every word that comes out of every wrestler's mouth, when your last gigantic cash cow (Stone Cold) would have never happened if his lines were scripted. I just can't figure it out (especially when they don't give mic time to guys who suck on the mic anyway!).

anyone see theres a wrestlingvixxxens version 2 now... i think its all non-nude though since it has Daffney & So Cal Val. The original version was hilarious though.

I also thought the Booker segment was good on Raw. What I didn't like, however, was that they were involving Lawler (aka "Jerome") in a match. All I could do was let out a big ol' sigh.

Now Randy Orton. There's a guy who's ass I'd like to see kicked. Not because of the Rhodes fued or anything like that, but just because he seems like a real bag of douche in and out of the ring.
I hope his career is over. You only think he's a good heel, because everyone else is so crappy at this point. Think of it like an average girl looking more attractive because she hangs out with a bunch of fat girls. Same concept. The longer it takes for Edge to come back the better.
Honestly, he's the reason I started watching SD again. I just couldn't get into it before he went to it.
If I remember right, he was fired due to faking injuries. He'd tell WWE he's injured, then sit on his wideload ass and collect paychecks. They eventually caught on and canned him.
Actually he was taking indy dates while claiming to be injured. Mostly from Afa's promotion (I mean they are related some way.... I don't have the Samoan wrestling relations chart in front of me) :) Any way WWE busted him on it kicked him to the curb.

World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of Rene Dupree. WWE wishes Rene all the best in his future endeavors.
Well, it took them long enough to can him.

Speaking of WWE, do we really need this on the home page?

is hhh really gonna make booker job to him before he kicks out of 3 rko's to win the title. ugh, i wish the rock would come back and whoop his roody poo candy ass
Actually, I'm 15, but you don't ever hear me talking about how great " old school" 80s wrestling was ( not old enough to have seen any of it ) so I don't see my age as much of a problem. Didn't protect edge because he's Edge, I really don't care much about him, to be honest. It wasn't anything specifically directed at you, I just used your statement to generalize you and attack the fans in general who have said things like that. Plus, I really just started posting here a while ago even though I've had an account for 2 years. Sorry if my " old " posts were so irrational and stupid that they should determine how people view me now, even though I was a lurker then and frequent the boards now.

I digress. Yeah, that was a pretty stupid angle. I think I was more confused back then mad, I really didn't take Rikishi seriously and you'd usually expect more of a main even player to do that, Rikishi never really got up there for me. It's like the Armogeddon Hell in a Cell. So many big names there and then there's...Rikishi. Fat guy who wears a thong and puts his ass in people's faces and later on dances in the ring. Yeah, it got over, and yeah, I actually liked the guy. But I could never see him with a heavyeight title on his sholder.
15 eh? Well, now I think I can cut you some slack given your youth. At 15, I had yet to *discover* the internet.
You've wished death upon Holly in the past; I can't be bothered to go back and search for it. No, I normally read every one of your posts and consider you one of the better posters on CAG, that's why I was so shocked when I saw who posted that filth. Your post was an inaccurate outburst, probably no better than what I've said about Edge.

As for Holly, who here hasn't wished misfortune upon him? I mean c'mon now

I do apologize if I offended you though, and hope you'll look past this jibba-jabba.
I mean this is an internet message board after all. But, when you phrase it as "I hope his career ends", as opposed to "I hope I never see this guy on my TV again", it's almost like you're asking for a flame war.
Ya, I should try that every once in awhile. I can't say I haven't been a bit too bitter lately, I think it's time to bring back the old-jolly, nonsensical horse, (most) everyone knew and loved, and stop saying things that are going to stir the pot in a place where stirring does no good.

Again, you deny what is reality and what is not... If I'd never met Edge, it'd be different. I have, he's a jerk. Not as bad as say Charles Wright, but still a jerk. Your method of "calling me out and telling me to chill out" was nothing more than you flaming me (again) and continously trolling, the posts are saved on the previous page for anyone who wants to see them.

There was no whining, I simply forwarded your profanity-laced pm message to me to the moderation staff, they took care of the rest. You were also told not to come back to the wrestling topics, unfortunately you didn't listen.

Michael Hayes is a big Hardyz fan, so hopefully that's not the case. Both Matt and Jeff are crazy over too, so regardless of their size, maybe it's time to try pushing them just to see what happens. At this point what could it hurt? Plus what happened to that "next HBK" stuff?
If I remember right, he was fired due to faking injuries. He'd tell WWE he's injured, then sit on his wideload ass and collect paychecks. They eventually caught on and canned him.

God, I hope so too. This King Booker nonsense has moved from being an instant source of heel heat, to just plain annoying. Not a good way for Booker's career to end. I wish they'd bring back Stevie Ray and revive the tag division.

Call me crazy, but I actually think Batista has had a few good matches. WM comes to mind of course. I think he has the talent, he's just lazy and feels he can have a good match when he needs to, instead of all the time. Kind of reminds me of the Detroit Pistons. In the end you just end up screwing yourself and the fans with that mentality.
I also thought the Booker segment was good on Raw. What I didn't like, however, was that they were involving Lawler (aka "Jerome") in a match. All I could do was let out a big ol' sigh.

Dupree must've turned down Pat Patterson...

From the I'll believe it when I see it files:

- Sean "X-Pac" Waltman was recently interviewed on 93.X Rock in his hometown of Minneapolis. Waltman said he was in talks with Triple H and WWE about him returning to the company soon. He also said he would prefer to return with Scott Hall as he thinks WWE is lacking good tag teams and feels they could make an impact together.

That's be pretty cool, X-Pac might actually get cheered by association. I wonder how Hall's weight is right now though?

and the I can't believe I'll see it files:

- As previously posted, The Iron Sheik will be on the Howard Stern Show on 8/2. Sheik will be playing the "anal ring toss" game with Chubby Checker.

 why does he do the things he does?

Regarding Scott Hall, I read this about a week ago.

We're just getting word in that former nWo original Scott Hall won the WWC Universal championship last night at the WWC show in Puerto Rico. Hall defeated Carlito and then WWC champion Apollo to win the title. We're hearing he got the pin on Apollo.
You were also told not to come back to the wrestling topics, unfortunately you didn't listen.
Newsflash. No I wasn't.

Anyway, Orton is the one fucking guy I love to see beaten down. He's just such an asshole. I think that's what makes that Foley/Orton street fight hold up to this day for me. I think until the day he dies, he'll be one of the pure heels people just don't like. He's not cool. He's not the king shit. He's some punk who thinks he deserves it all and when he doesn't get it, he thrashes a hotel room.

Sorry for the double post but I used to not care about Shelley or Sabin, but I have to admit, they work together very well as a tag team.

Could be an interesting faction with Hall, HBK, HHH and X-Pac, I mean why not? One last time, not as a heavy merchandising machine, but just to go for it again before they retire. The *attitude* has to be authentic though, not forced, faked, packaged and sold religiously on WWE programming. If there's a product people dig, they'll buy it.

Plus instead of re-hashing DX or the NWO, they could just name the faction what it is "The Kliq". Dream on Horse...

I like it.

That Steiners / LAX correlation is smart, but I wish VKM would drop off the face of the fucking Earth.

Oh, and Steiner was a god on the mic -- again.

Impact ended up being much better than I expected after reading the spoilers. Sting-Roode was the most enjoyable Sting match so far this year, MCMGs-LAX was exciting and had some interesting double team moves, and the main event was the usual good Abyss-AJ match, with the best selling of the shock treatment yet. The Steiners-3D segment was fantastic, and I didn't even mind VKM coming out since Scott buried them.

I love the realistic face turn for Scott, and that was the most realistically emotional promo he's done since the one on Nitro where he was crying and stating that he had to retire due to a bad back. LAX turning face to defend Scott, who gained respect for the Puerto Rican nation LAX is defending, was excellent. Unfortunately, the segment was hurt by Mike Tenay talking over some parts, but it wasn't hurt as much as the first incredible Steiner-3D promo.

Dr. Nash being revealed as Kurt's shrink, complete with Angle burying TNA in a tanning bed while in an Armani suit, was funny, and much better than Kurt spending most of last week's show in a speedo. I didn't like Joe being treated like an afterthought, and I don't see how anyone can think he's going to win after the Angle-Joe video stated that Angle is a seven time world champion, while Joe is dangerous!~. It makes me sadder that their next match is for five "world" titles, as the build has been horrible given that fact.

The show-ending beatdown was exciting, but not as violent as the last one one on Abyss, and it made AJ look like a jobber as he could only beat Abyss after tons of interference that saw Abyss get bloodied by... something (hopefully a leprechaun) under the ring, and the entire Christian Coalition. I got a laugh out of Jericho Personal Security returning for Christian, but was saddened by them actually trying to make them look somewhat professional, instead of just using a marker and playing it for comedy like so many other parts of this storyline.

All in all though, this was a really good edition of Impact. It had incredible drama, good matches, and excellent promos that outweigh the negative aspects of the show. The guy under the ring is probably going to be revealed to be Ricky Banderas (Judais Mesias). Goddamn Scott Steiner ruled tonight - he's easily my favorite guy in TNA right now (or whenever he's given a chance to shine on the mic).

Cage - Tomko, stop playing with your toy belt! We got real problems here! Cage security is going to follow me wherever I go, I had it put into my contract - you gotta protect the top stars!
Tenay - Kurt Angle visits his psychiatrist!?
DW - If Samoa Joe has his way, Kurt Angle will be visiting his surgeon!
Tenay - STING JUST TOOK A BULLET FOR MS. BROOKS!
DW - THAT’S THE KIND OF MAN STING IS!
Tenay - Standing room only here at the Impact Zone! We equaled our highest rating last week!
DW - It’s the most talked-about wrestling in the country! Why shouldn’t we be breaking ratings!?
DW - Eric Young’s showing his support of Sting! He’s wearing the face paint!
Dustin - Remember Goldust?
Tenay - HOW COULD I FORGET! EVERYONE REMEMBERS GOLDUST!
(on Harris) Dustin - HE’S OVULATING! HE HAS OVARIES!
Dustin - It’s coming out… IT’S COMING OUT! I’ve got a split personality…
Tenay - In all my years, I’ve never seen anyone have an emotional breakdown like that on camera!
Angle - I was always my mother’s favorite. At three, I was beating up six years olds. Everyone knew I was something special. In high school, it was even worse - I excelled at everything! Hot girls wanted me, not the stanks, like the girls who come to Impact to watch us wrestle. I’m an Olympic Gold medalist, even my wife knows what an honor it is to be Mrs. Kurt Angle! My kids know that too, and if they don’t meet my standards, maybe I’ll send them to the orphanage my sister works at.
Tenay - HOW HEARTLESS!

Tenay - The tag team situation is unlike anything I’ve ever seen before - full of depth with top-level talent like 3D, the Steiners, LAX, the Motor City Machine Guns, and even VKM. Samoa Joe now holds the TNA World tag titles, and puts them on the line against Kurt Angle at Hard Justice.
DW - Sabin and Shelley are so hard to prepare for, they have… THAT YOUTH!
DW - Now they’re coming out to talk to LAX, and I can’t for the life of me think of why they’d want to.
(on LAX)Devon - We’ve already beat your asses and made you a couple of has-beens, so get out! (LAX leaves) Steiners, GET OUT HERE!
Tenay - OH, WE KNOW THE STEINERS ARE IN THE IMPACT ZONE, ANDTHEY’RE GOING TO RESPOND WITH A LOT MORE THAN WORDS!
Tenay - Statistically, Scott Steiner shouldn’t be here, but he beat the odds!
Scott Steiner - Shut up, you two fat-asses! Don’t insult the Puerto Rican people, they saved my life!
Ray - Look, it’s Scott and his half-retarded brother, Rick!
Scott - Why don’t you shut up and let your thyroid grow, maybe you’ll gain a few new fat cells!
Scott - Being told you’re going to die is a very humbling thing, and right now, I’d like to thank the Puerto Rican doctors nurses, and the people out there who showed their support!
Tenay - CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT! HE CALLED SCOTT STEINER A LIAR!
Ray - I don’t see no scar!
(shows scar)Steiner - They went through my ribs to re-attach my trachea!
Ray - You call that a scar!? Back in ECW, that was a paper cut.
Tenay - A PAPER CUT!? THAT’S ONE OF THE NASTIEST SCARS I’VE EVER SEEN
Steiner - You’re nothing but bingo hall champions!
BG - One of the best tag teams in wrestling history just stepped in the ring. When we were on top, wrestling was on top - and that’s no coincidence!
Steiner - Yeah, you were on top of the WWF, but you were on top of a heap of crap. When you were on top, WCW was kicking Raw’s ass 83 weeks in a row! None of you fat-asses deserve to be in the ring with us two!
Ray - STOP CALLING ME FAT!
DW - HERE COMES LAX! WE KNEW THEY WEREN’T GONNA STAY AWAY LONG!
Tenay - We were surprised when they left, but they came back on their own terms!

Angle - Which brings us to TNA. What did I ever do to deserve this? I put them on the map. You take TNA out of Kurt Angle, and you still have a great Kurt Angle. Take Kurt Angle out of TNA, and you have an independent show that maybe draws 50 people. When you think of Kurt Angle, you think of Ghandi, Martin Luther King… and I have a dream too. That everyone will love and respect Kurt Angle.
Nash - That’s touching, Kurt, can I get in there now?
Angle - Sure.
Tenay - CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT!? Dr. Nash - the shrink in the speedo!
DW - I wonder what he charges per hour.
Tenay - Don, the way you said that… are you looking to get some couch time with Dr. Nash!?
DW - No, I just want to use the tanning bed.

DW - SHOCK TREATMENT! AJ JUST BOUNCES OFF!
DW - PELE! PELE! OUT OF NOWHERE! AGAIN!
Tenay - If you’re wondering where Samoa Joe has been, he’s been in training, and he’ll be in the Impact Zone next week.
DW - HE JUST KILLED HIM!
Tenay - BLACKOUT IN THE IMPACT ZONE! WE ALL KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS! HE’S HERE! STING!
DW - Sting just told him to get the tacks!
DW - HE’S PULLING ABYSS UNDER THE RING, AND I SWEAR YOU CAN SEE THE FEAR IN ABYSS’S EYES!
Tenay - ABYSS IS A BLOODY MESS! THE BLOOD IS FLOWING FROM BOTH THE ARMS AND THE HEAD!
Tenay - BROKEN GLASS! STING! DOUBLE CHOKESLAM INTO THE BROKEN GLASS! THIS IS DIFFICULT TO WATCH!
DW - THE NUMBERS IS TOO MUCH!
Tenay - AJ just handed Christian another bag, and I’m guessing it’s the tacks!
DW - OH MY GOD!
DW- AJ gets the pin.
Tenay - Christian Cage used this no disqualification match to get his revenge! We thought the last beating of Abyss was sick, but this was even sicker! AND WHO OR WHAT IS UNDER THE RING!?
So what was under the ring... I'm guessing this was all taped weeks ago, yes/no/scabies? (circle one)
James Mitchell's new monster.

Ricky Banderas looks like Cibernetico without all the Lucha bullshit.

EDIT: TNA is coming *thisclose* to really overdoing it with the glass and thumbtacks. Less is more. Someone please tell them that.

'matter of fact, what happened to Abyss under the ring was FAR more intriguing, because my mind was left to wander as to what is under there, and what they are capable of doing.

As for shit in the ring, the more I see it, the less meaningful it becomes.
So what was under the ring... I'm guessing this was all taped weeks ago, yes/no/scabies? (circle one)
If I had to guess, I'd guess Mitchell's new guy. They'll say it was him in a few weeks.

Edit: Beat to the punch by Brak.

Save once evenflow DDT'd abyss onto some thumbtacks.

There's a picture of this somewhere, but the funny part is that the thumbtacks are going to hurt raven more than they are abyss because his whole back was hitting them.
EDIT: TNA is coming *thisclose* to really overdoing it with the glass and thumbtacks. Less is more. Someone please tell them that.
I agree.

The fact that it was candy glass turned me off even more.

I did like that whole bit, though. I've never seen anything like what happened to Abyss -- I think they should have just left it with Abyss, bloodied, struggling under the apron.

I'm on the 3rd WWE History DVD. Very good matches. I'm on the Brock vs The Rock SS2002. You can really see that the audience is into it. I hope the Rock comes back.

The Rock was such a great wrestler but he used that to propell himself into other fields. It kinda sucks when you see guys like Stone Cold who want to wrestle but can't, yet you have guys like the Rock who choose to make millions in hollywood. And I mean, the Rock's movies were moderately succesful. Why couldn't they be bombs like Hogan's? :p
Now Randy Orton. There's a guy who's ass I'd like to see kicked. Not because of the Rhodes fued or anything like that, but just because he seems like a real bag of douche in and out of the ring.
funny story. wwe did a house show in lexington not too long ago. one of my friends that lives down there is a huge wrestling fan. some time after the show finished, his brother gave him a call to let him know that he'd just gotten to applebees and randy orton was seated a few tables away. the guy, chris, drove all the way over to the restaurant just to walk up to randy to say something to the effect of "i've been a fan of wrestling for years, so i just wanted to say 'hey.'" as eloquent as his introduction was, randy kept the conversation going for a while. he kept mentioning how cool he thought my friend's shirt was. in jest, chris offered to trade with him. randy said he was completely game for it, which everyone assumed was a light-hearted joke. he then stood up and suggested they head to the bathroom to make the switch.

as soon as they were in the men's room, randy slapped his hands together and said "all right. let's get naked." he then pointed at a random guy who had happened to enter just behind them and said "you too." a few seconds later, they each exit the bathroom wearing the other's shirt. in exchange for a 50 dollar designer tee, young randy had gained a bright blue, home made shirt with a jovial hippie on the front exclaiming the word "DOPE!"

i hear about his tantrums. i know about the ridiculous favoritism the wwe shows him. i still just cannot bring myself to dislike him after that story. it's just too fucking cool a way for someone to treat a fan.

If I was ever famous, i'd do randomly awesome stuff like that. I remember meeting a few of the guys a few years back, back when Rocky was Rocky Maivia.. shook his hand and talked for a minute or two. Also met Del Wilkes (The Patriot), Jerry Lawler, Mick Foley and Owen Hart. Owen didn't look like he was having that great of a night, but he talked with us. We had a promo poster (black and white) and he signed it.. it's a big promo poster for the house show that night with both Rocky and Owen's signature on it. I love that piece of paper.

I then saw Owen had a color promo poster, which I liked better. I took it when he wasn't looking. If you're reading this from the great beyond, Owen... sorry I took your promo poster :(

My friend carried a WWE magazine in that had Psycho Sid on the cover.. After signing his name, The Rock proceeded to draw devil horns, a mustache and blacked out one of Psycho Sid's teeth on the cover. I thought it was awesome. He doesn't watch wrestling anymore, but he still has that magazine.

Any of you guys ever meet any wrestlers? If so, how was your experience?
That Steiners / LAX correlation is smart, but I wish VKM would drop off the face of the fucking Earth.

Oh, and Steiner was a god on the mic -- again.
Yep... Impact was awesome again. Rolling strong from beginnign to end - 10/10 I'd say :bouncy: (You're right about VKM, but they ARE on the roster, for better or for worse, and they DO fit into this story line quite well.)

VKM girl is pointless.

I'm surprised no one was talking about the Dustin Rhodes promo... IN-fuckIN-TENSE!

I was going to post right after I saw it, but I must have forgot.

Anyway, I thought that promo was great, and actually gave me something to look forward to. That's awesome that he's playing off of those rumors, and I'm glad that he's playing a crazy character, which he's fantastic at.

I was wary about Rhodes being in TNA, since we all seem to agree that he offers nothing without the Goldust persona. They seem to be able to put together something very perturbing in Rhodes. I liked the video, save for two reasons:

1) Wrestling writers think wrestling fans are dumb as shit: don't have Dustin TELL us he has a split personality; SHOW us. Let us draw the conclusions and talk about it. I'm tellin' ya, wrestlin' writers sculpt things like those old vinyl "Ben Cooper" halloween costumes.

2) I don't buy Rhodes' "Chris Harris took my spot" argument at all. It makes zero sense. Hell, if he has a split personality, and one that's irrational, have him hate Harris with all his being for taking the last bowl of cereal.

"Took my spot" is the most frequently overused phrase in wrestling feuds, and one, laughably, that is absent from every feud it would be appropriate in.
