That's why I said 'not really' when you asked, since I figured you were looking in Dallas or something. :x

Now to watch Transporter 2. I don't expect a good movie (he's dual-wielding on the cover of the DVD ) but hopefully it'll at least have a hearty amount of action.
And enough factual problems about the gunplay that we'll hear about it from you for a half-hour.

Ha, this dude was at Best Buy with his kid, looking at PSP games, he looked at Final Fantasy, put it back because his kid was crawling all over him (he was holding her) and as soon as he put it back I grabbed it ;)

Dude glared at my like nobody's business, maybe because it was the last copy? I just assumed he didn't want it because he put it right back in the same spot.

Oh well, snagged it for $20, and I'll never see the dude ever again in 12 hours anyways.

~~Morrissey Update~~

Morrissey will be music guest on David Letterman tonight performing a smashing new song!
Kristeen Young will also sing back up vocals for you indie nerds.

Except for me. I'll remember it long after it's gone and burried. I'll be the lone soul to come wandering around to listen to the flamingo talk.
These are all solid guesses as to the "true meaning" of the OTT title. I'm afraid that you all share the same problem of not thinking outside the box. You must delve deeper into the bizarre and twisted world of the title. I will give you the following clues so that you might be able to better understand it:

1. The title is written backwards? But why? Does this have something to do with a 90's rap group who wore their clothes backwards?
2. Zach Morris was a troublemaker by nature. What famous troublemaker shot John F. Kennedy?
3. Try re-arranging the letters and see what you can come up with. I got "loins are natures love" also "I heart muf".

Be warned. Many have dedicated their entires lives to deciphering the title, only to slowly descend into madness.
So the OTT title is like an episode of Lost now?

I've heard a few bootlegs of it. It's only been performed a few times live now.
Pretty new.
I dropped you FB this morning ;)
Excellent.

And all those shipping refunds finally posted into my Paypal account on Wednesday. Was about $16 or so. Used it plus some money I had from selling another CAG HL2: Ep 1 to buy a new & sealed Wavebird from a different CAG. Need at least a sealed spare on-hand, since they're like hen's teeth to find anywhere ATM.

Ha, nice!

I finally got what I'll be taking on my trip - these games are gonna last me the next three months or so until I get the rest of my stuff:

DS:

Final Fantasy 3
Etrian Odyysey
Hoshigami Remix
Puzzle Quest
Clubhouse Games

GBA:

Yggdra Union

Wii:

RE 4
Super Paper Mario
Mario Party 8

PS2:

Disgaea 2
Odin Sphere
Grim Grimoire
Tomb Raider Anniversary
Godhand

PC:

Supreme Commander
Jade Empire
Dawn of War Dark Crusade
Battlefield 2142
Fallout Collection
Worms World Party
C&C 3
Stalker

PSP:

Final Fantasy
Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX
Ultimate Ghosts n Goblins

Probably enough to last for 3 or 4 months, and I think there is only 3 releases I'm buying between now and September. I'd go to TRU and see if I can get Syphon Filter for $9.99 but I'm lazy and it's probably sold out by now.

Yes.

Dangerously close.

Found all the slimes in the first level in DQ, so that one is 100% completed- all enemies, items and slimes.

Area 2 I have all slimes and items, but missing 2 enemies. Dunno where. I'll search later. But I must find them.
I'm sure a lot of you guys have seen this, but this guy reminds me if Strell and Mario Colbert had a baby

Seanr, I'm afraid I missed this because last night I passed out and didn't get a chance to do much OTT'n.

Also, I will let MC know and see what he says. I imagine he will use the word "balls" somewhere in his reply.

I've never seen much of the ANN. I heard he was okay though.

Also, shrike: High end audiophiles tend to fall into the game category. Also I still am not convinced there's tons of people ready to replace their DVD collections with expensive versions, but I could be wrong. Still not enough to convince me I'm afraid. I mean I see middle aged women walk out of BB with a 30-40" HDTV, but there's never a game system in tow. I just get the feeling they are going to go home, crack open a beer, and watch football.
Damn Rocko, now I have to go buy Rocket Slime.
You sound like you're having a lot of fun with that.
I am- it's great.

I think it's on clearance at CC if you can find it. I just got it at the B2G1 sale, though. Didn't want to bother with CC.

Logitech wireless Xbox controllers are the same way too, semi-impossible to find at retail.

I think the EB in my backyard has one Wavebird still sealed, so I may grab that, so I have a couple of spares. I have a couple spare Xbox controllers as well, for the same reasons.

Yes, all those games should keep you busy for a while. :D

Which reminds me, I should go look at that 19" Westinghouse TV they just came out with that's on sale at BB, plus 12% off coupon this weekend. :whistle2:s I need to replace the one in my kitchen.

I did indeed see some at CC.
Passed on it though as I heard it was too simple.

But if it has lots of charm, I'm in.
Chocobo Tales is simple, but I like it's charm.

No one thinks of keeping spare controllers for console. But it is a must, try finding a quality N64 controller nowadays.

You can't they're all beat to shit.

I should snag up any remaining GC/Wavebird controllers I still find. But I'm holding out on the hope that Brawl = new controllers being made at some point.

Otherwise I'm with Graystone. You need plenty on hand.

Thought I had bought a Settlers of Catan at a yard sale long ago, but just took a look at my game shelf and realized it was actually Diplomacy and it got crossed with Settlers in my head for some reason.

Do any stores carry Settlers? Read a bit on it on wiki and it sounds pretty good.

Shrike hooked me up with that shit. Haven't gotten to it yet though... still trying to finish Advance Wars DS.

PS2 controllers won't be an issue for a while, though Xbox & GC, that's becoming a real issue.

Might be an excuse to make new one, though I'm not taking any chances. I have 4 Wavebirds from my GC, though two of them haven't really been used at all. One new & sealed one on the way, plus another one if I can find it somewhere.

Play-Asia seems to still have them for $40, though with shipping, it's a bit painful.

Looks like I can buy it from amazon for a little over $25... Bleh.

I guess I already knew no major retailers carry it, as I can't remember ever seeing a set in a B&M store besides a (overpriced) specialty board game shop that used to be in the local mall.

I found an old, not-quite-working-right wavebird in one of my drawers in my room the other day. Other than that I only have 1 wired GCN controller.

I'd buy another wavebird but I don't want to spend the money. Oh well.

I'm still surprised Brawl can be played with 4 controller schemes.

4 controls schemes, but I already know which one I'll be using. Always.

I may try with the Wiimote and nunchuck for a laugh. Or to play against noobs like Strell for a fair chance.

I can't see either of the Wiimote schemes working terrible well, so I'll probably use the Classic Controller scheme, or maybe GCN (but my Wavebird sometimes gets stuck to the left/right so that won't be nice... and boo wires).

Strell, why is there a stray quote mark in your sig after the Threadless link?

Also, the name of your FAQ in your sig and the actual topic are different. ;)

No wired controllers in the new game room-to-be.

I still only have one PS2 controller- bought it about two years ago when the original broke.

I don't really mind that, but I would like another Wavebird. But I can't justify the cost when I already have a wired controller and it works fine, and the Wavebird is so expensive.

On a sortof related note, does anyone know if Naruto Shippuden GNT EX will (a) be importable and playable via something like the freeloader on the GC and (b) will support the use of classic GC controllers like smash seems to be willing to do?

Is that a Wii game? I don't think the Freeloader works with Wii games (yet? Or maybe.. NEVAR?!?!).

I'd like to know if it works on the Wii, period. On Playasia it says it does, but I've seen threads where people buy the one that says wii-compatible on the package and it still doesn't work. :whistle2:k

Mine still work fine - to the best of my knowledge, they're all in better shape than 90% of what's out there. :D

Nintendo still has N64 controllers for sale in their store. They're expensive - $25 each is a lot more than I'd be willing to pay - but it's still tempting to get an extra one or two just in case. That's another thing to add to my "if I ever stop being a broke college student" shopping list.

I stocked up when I could, though I should've just bought a couple more ealier when I could have. Now, when I'm at a BB/CC/Target/Walmart/Kmart, I check to see if they have any. I'm now doing at EB & GS for new & sealed ones.

You asked for it.

What was with the bitch with the two G18s?! fucking suppressors sounded worse than most video games, she reloaded her 33-round magazines once after expending hundreds of rounds inside a children's hospital, and somehow she was able to control the recoil with each hand enough to keep the fucking things consistently on target despite the fact she was a stick. Get that whore a fuckin ham sammich. Other than that bullshit, though, it wasn't bad other than the fact that SOMEHOW a taxi managed to contain 1200 or so rounds of 5.56 ammunition when in reality, you're fucked if you're in your car and someone opens up on it with a fuckin 9mm.

The hand-to-hand action, however, was pretty sweet. The firehose scene was especially entertaining. :D

But man, talk about a status quo ante when
everyone is miraclously cured at the end of the film, Frank and the French dude go free, and everyone lives happily ever after.

Note to self: Don't take movie reccomendations from Hex.

Also, I found the two enemies I was missing in the desert in DQ. One, it seems, doesn't appear until you finish the level. The other, I only saw 1 of, and have no idea how I got it to appear. I hope you don't get anything for collecting x of every enemy... if you do, that one will be a bitch.

Well you don't have to, but you can, and here's why (in case this is considered a spoiler):
At some point you're going to free a slime who opens up a museum, but it won't have anything in it. Just a bunch of blank pedestals. It's meant to house statues of enemies. I think it's if you capture 30 of one enemy, you get a bronze statue. After 50 you get a silver one, and ultimately can get gold. I do not think it makes any difference at all in terms of the "level" of the statue.

However, getting the statue does have one good effect - you can then hire that particular enemy to join your tank army as an ally. Since all your tank allies have different abilities/strengths/speeds, it's good to experiment. Some of the enemies are highly useful - they can go cause havoc in the enemy's tank, act as a gaurd for yours, or fire themselves as ammo. Others might carry ammo for you.

I haven't played in a while, but there's this robot enemy you can find later on, and I think I have him in my army. Dude is brutal. Super fast and strong, he goes over to the enemy tank and kills the enemy commander's allies repeatedly.

So there's a good reason to do it and a miscellaneous reason to do it.
