They shouldn't be airing it after Heroes anyway it would make more sense to flip them. Because the way most programming goes is you start off light "Deal Or No Deal", and get more serious as the night progresses, so Studio 60 should really be on in the middle somewhere. Don't know if it should be on the same night as Heroes, since it doesn't seem to be doing much for it. Probably because the two shows are for 2 pretty different types of people, but then again look at NBC's schedule, and where would it fit. It's probably best to leave it put but flip the times.
My two cents.
I disagree that it would be better to flip the two shows on Mondays. Deal or No Deal has a broad general audience, who is generally more interested in a show like Heroes than Studio 60. Plus you don't want to alienate the coveted 18-49 demographic that every advertiser looks for, which comprises most of Deal or No Deal & Heroes viewers. Your right about it not really fitting properly with much of NBC's schedule but I think it's in the 10 PM hour mainly for the subject matter and only ABC & CBS to compete with at that hour (for network TV ratings). Maybe, and somewhat ironic, Studio 60 is better suited for cable or HBO like the UN show that they were discussing. It probably wouldn't happen as the show costs too much for cable, but that's what network tv has become. It's a debate for network tv whether to create cheaply produced reality/gameshow/news programs or big name star/creator dramas or comedies. So far it's the cheap produced stuff which has become popular for each network the past few years (with several notable exceptions from ABC & CBS). That's why NBC has given up in the 8 PM block to produce the cheap shows. As for Studio 60, I think the show was so overhyped, that many people expected it to be smart, funny, engaging, etc., and it hasn't lived up to somewhat bloated expectations.
