I saw this at the store yesterday, and I was like . . . just about to buy it. I even wrote up an article at RPGamer about its release, because I thought that it deserved some attention. All of the readers responded by saying basically exactly what I am going to say:
Then I thought about how, at home, I had Bioshock, Jeanne d'Arc, D&D Tactics (sucks, but I want to finish it), Odin Sphere (also suck buts I'm committed to beating it), the Oblivion expansion, and starting tomorrow, Blue Dragon (I'm a giant japfag, okay?), all sitting at home with very little progress in any of them.
When Two Worlds was scheduled for a July release, it was a day-one purchse, but now, I don't think I'll get to it until 2008. This game, especially with all of the bugs its touted to have, just isn't going to cut it during the Great Avalanche of Fall 2007.
It's also alarming that the publisher didn't send any review copies to review outlets. Maybe they are hoping that by the time a critic buys it at retail and finishes playing through it, they might have a few patches out?
