Confirming. It was a good fight...but I felt really rusty (haven't touched the game since my last CAGFC fight). I got worked pretty hard in the Muay Thai clinch and thought I was going to be destroyed early. Somehow, I mounted a decent comeback, and was even able to get some foot stomps in after a big knockdown.

But after getting rocked and knocked down for the millionth time in the 2nd round, it took like one punch before the ref stopped it. I really hate those stoppages because they ruin the ending of the fight (almost makes it feel like the crap in Supremacy/Bellator where you're just fighting to get to 100% damage). If my head damage is that high, just give my opponent a straight up KO. Don't put me in a defenseless state where one punch while covering up and swaying is going to stop the fight anyway. The coding for that really shouldn't be that complex. >95% head damage + a strike that causes a knockdown/rock/cut = KO. Maybe EA will do a better job with that...ha...ha...

I'll have the fight video up later.
 
Ok, well that officially wraps up the 1st round. I got a PM from PureApathy saying that he just started a new job and is going to have to retire his fighter from CAGFC. It was good to have him here and I wish him the best of luck in his new job. Maybe he'll be back whenever EA makes their first UFC game.

The brackets are now up to date, so everybody can get started on their 2nd round fight. Good luck to everyone still alive as we search for our Pride GP Champion! Let's put a due date of 7/19 on these 2nd round fights.

EDIT - And Calipso will be happy to know that the OP is now completely up to date. I know he's pretty anal about that. Ha...anal...pretty tight butthole...haaaaa. :bouncy:

Fun fight that could've went either way. We did close to equal damage to each other and were rocked twice. Both of our head damage was pretty high...we then both threw head kicks at almost the exact same time...mine just happened to land first and I got the KO. Another good match with urmom...we seem to always have competitive fights.


I quit being lazy and got my recording device out so i'll have the video tomorrow.

Ha, I'm alive. 40 minutes for 3.1 miles. Not great, but I'll take it since it's the first time I've run that length.

Saw the doctor today, and his response was "I'm twice your age and run 6 miles a day. 1.5 miles is shit. You're young, don't worry about getting injured. Do 3 miles each time from now on."

I now can't feel my left foot. I guess that beats feeling it a lot. :)

Confirming. Really lots of fun. I love/hate Pride mode. By that, I mean I truly love it. I think it's the best mode in the game. But I hate how it makes me always feel the need to try to facestomp people's heads in on the ground, to the point that I actually actively give up good positions to try to do that. It's way too satisfying when you do pull it off! SOCCER KICK! GGOOOOAAAAALLLL!

As usual, great fight. I love this league for the fun contenders, and the variety of play styles.
 
No response from xHoochiex. I'll try and be on throughout the week, but it's gonna get harder the closer it gets to the weekend. And Thursday is Dark Knight Rises, so no go there lol
