Attitude Era Raw opening redone with current stars.

Ironically, Hogan, Lesnar, Triple H, Big Show are in both that 2014 version and the original music video that was cut down and used as the RAW intro.

Side note, did you know The Union Underground actually played that song live on RAW without the edited lyrics? (GET THE GUNS, THE DRUGS [JOYS], bleeping of "fuckin" in the chorus)

ARE YOU fuckING KIDDING ME? THE RHODES BROTHERS ARE BACK TOGETHER!

(I know it's been 3 weeks, but watching Goldie get his ass whipped the past few weeks makes me feel bad for him.)

Maybe now they can beat the Usos. I hate the Usos, about the only time I like them is when Rowan and Harper are fighting them.

Hopefully the Wyatts take the belts at the PPV so we can get just incredibly weird with a DoubleDust vs. Wyatt feud.

I'd rather see where they go with this Stardust gimmick than that lame ripoff Bluedust that they tried to pull off back in '99.   Especially since it looked like Cody changed his mannerisms and moves in the match.

Now Tommy Dreamer is going to appear on Impact this week.  Gotta ride that hot twitter beef that matters to the exact number of people who were at that House of Hardcore show.

Seth Rollins made an announcement on Main Event regarding the Money in the Bank PPV tonight.
A Ladder Match for the Money in the Bank contract has been added to the card. Seth Rollins is the first one to be announced for the match.

Seth also debuted some Ninja Gaiden looking ring gear at the SD tapings.  Doesn't wear the shirt part for the match though.  Also Roman appears to be the least muscular guy out of The Shield members now.

It looks like he stole Snake Plissken's gear from the Escape from L.A. movie

All I can think of is Techno Team 2000. Just in black instead of gray.

Oh my lord, this sounds awful yet amazing (via Wikipedia):

Wearing "futuristic" silver and maroon ring outfits, they debuted in the WWF as a babyface tag team that was "ahead of its time".[3] As part of the "New Generation" of the WWF, they were said to be "determined to bring the New Generation into the 21st Century".[3] Building on their youthful appearance, Troy and Travis were featured in pin-up pictures in the World Wrestling Federation Magazine.[4][5]

Tekno Team 2000 made their WWF debut during a house show at Madison Square Garden on March 19, 1995. They defeated The Heavenly Bodies (Tom Prichard and Jimmy Del Ray) and repeated the result the following night at Boston Garden.[6] Their WWF television debut took place on the May 16, 1995 episode of WWF Superstars; they defeated Barry Horowitz and the Brooklyn Brawler.[7] They were booked to appear in a series of matches against The Heavenly Bodies. Del Ray was not able to appear in several of the matches, so he was replaced by Mantaur and Barry Horowitz in several of the matches. Tekno Team 2000 won all of the matches in this series.[8] The WWF teased a storyline in which Tekno Team 2000 was being scouted by Ted DiBiase to join the Million Dollar Corporation,[9] but they did not join the group. Their success led Pro Wrestling Illustrated to rank them among the top ten tag teams in the world.[10]

Haha, Pro Wrestling Illustrated ranking them in the top ten is crazy. I am trying to remember correctly, but I am pretty sure this was a time when there were only nine tag teams in the world with greats like Skip and Zip, or Billy and Bart Gunn... so I guess it makes sense.

Edit: I guess if they were feuding with the Heavenly Bodies, the GREAT Zip was not around yet. Good times.

"I wouldn't go so far as to call the brother fat. He's got a weight problem. What's the n**** gonna do? He's Samoan."

(Thinking of that Pulp Fiction quote made me sad at the lack of overweight Samoans in WWE. I'd probably like the Usos if they looked like the Headshrinkers)

Finally got around to watching Raw and I have to say the only other time Cody Rhodes has been entertaining to was during the "disfigured" faze. The slowed down music and tron changes really helped that too. That video of an updated Across the Nation, I think that should become the opening. I like.

Just finished watching Countdown about the Divas and that clip of AJ Lee losing her shit at 11-12 when meeting Lita never gets old. I wonder how long it took them to find that in their archives when they first used it a few years ago.

Has the schedule for the live stream on The Network been wonky for anyone else? This morning, it said Best of Smackdown was playing, but it was No Way Out 2004. Now, it says Best of Raw, and Perfect vs Bret from Summerslam is playing.

Speaking of the Heavenly Bodies... I give you A Tribute to The Gigolo Jimmy Del Ray:

I love the Beverly Bros theme simply because it sounds like the shittiest Casio demo you can imagine hearing walking through K-Mart and it reminds me of when I was a kid and things were a lot less produced. If you listen to that song, probably more so than any other WWF theme you can hear the badly timed loops and slight misses in the drum beat. It's literally a trainwreck of terrible.

Red Rooster gets the honorable mention as a very close second, and let's not forget this god awful mess Cena used before Thuganomics became a thing.

EDIT: Adding this so I don't double post:

Looking at old themes I found a channel that has a bunch of tracks WWE used for production pieces and some of them are wrestler themes. This is fascinating and I'm kinda sad it hasn't been updated in a long time. Cool to see some of this lesser known music and I believe this is the first time I've ever heard the entire version of the Hardy Boyz theme instead of the version that is looped over and over after the 1:14 mark. Zack Tempest - Loaded. I always wondered what that song was called once it started showing up in random commercials and other forms of media.

The first 1/4 of the show was a clusterfuck of words and a small EY-King world title match. The tag title match had remnants of a good Aries-Joe/Wolves match in there. Hardy jobbing right before the Hardys reunion sure seemed stupid. TOMMY DREAMER CUT THE BEST PROMO OF HIS fuckING LIFE on Dixie Carter. This was amazing. The second world tag title match was nothing, but got great when Abyss did a thing that resembled running! Taryn returned and is quite hot, while Angelina wore white pants to show off her non-ass. World title match started off strong. Within a minute, they told you that EY was legit against Lashley by having the tactics from a week ago not work here. The match itself was short, but very good. Lashley winning was a slight surprise, but the belt looks good on him and they're setting up Roode for the BFG title win he should've had in 2011.

I found one weird while digging through those. I never knew that Benoit's old WCW theme actually had 2 versions, one with vocals and one w/o. Never heard WCW use the one with vocals.

Also found Mongo's theme that was reused for The Sandman in WCW in that channel, it's called "Unledded". Steve Blackman's "Groundshaker" theme is also in that channel too.

I posted that channel in here a few years ago and got no response, so let it be known that I reaaaaly like what that guy has done. If I ever want to listen to Ricky Steamboat's shitty "oriental" overdub theme, I know where to go.

Now there are rumors on the dirt sheets that TNA will be bringing back the six sided ring. What a huge mistake. Maybe for live shows it doesnt matter but for TV a square ring is just more screen friendly. I never understood the appeal of the six sided ring, it didnt make anything better, and even the talent said they didnt like it. If true, added with the current crap they are putting out I doubt Ill watch TNA again unless something major changes.

They have a poll up on their website to vote for 4 or 6 sides. Who know if the poll even matters, but they are making it look like the fans will decide.

TNA is hugely desperate for ratings going into the NYC tapings especially given they are fighting to get Spike TV to sign them to a new contract. Therefore expect things like six sided ring, matches featuring whatever once was huge name in WWE/ECW/WCW they can afford on a shoe string budget, etc etc etc.

Yea, I dont think the 6 sided ring was ever any good though. The Impact Zone crowd liked it I guess, but thats all. It was a detraction from the product they were putting on then. At least they had talent to make people see past that.

You are right about why they are doing this, usually people will be more willing to tune into a show if there is a big change, just to see what its like. I hope Spike TV doesnt fall for it though.

If they really want a spike in ratings, bring back the Terror Dome and Homicide for one night only. Even with 2 extra, pointless sides on a ring Id want to see that!

Bubba (Bully, ugh) Ray was on Opie and Anthony this week and he was awesome. Thought I'd share for those who might be interested. Some interesting perspectives from a current TNA talent (unsurprisingly the "If Vince called, I'd be gone in a second) and mentions that he's banging Velvet Sky. Worth your time if you like candid talks and people just having fun yapping.

It's pretty bad when even TNA is revealing it's own taping results.

As they have been advertising that due to Jeff Hardy winning the battle royal.  He will be facing Lashley at the NYC tapings for the world title.

This was supposedly done to help boost ticket sales for the NYC taping(which apparently are bad right now).  But it seems to be one of those facepalm moments where you have to wonder wtf were they thinking?

Hardy is a good talent (when he's not fucked up) and his name puts asses in seats. Like old rockstars, people go see them just to say they saw them wrestle before they quit/retired.

When did Velvet break up with Sabin?

Raw had way too goddamned much filler and rematches, but I loved Vickie going out to Eddie's theme and doing the shimmy. Big E channeling MISTAH RANDY WATSON was glorious too. The babyfaces having no issue at all being in their second 3-on-4 handicap match in four TV days was annoying. They don't need to be mad, but they should at least care - especially since it hurts their chances of winning the WWE World Title in the ladder match. Main event was more fun on Raw than on SD. Shame it meant nothing with THEDEMONKANE coming out right after so HHH could put him in the title match. The real stars of 2014 - HHH and Kane!
