Christ, the movies & TV won't even load for me. Looks like Amazon has failed to fix the lag issues from last year still.

I haven't been able to get on since about 12 PM Eastern time. I thought it was just me, but they are having issues.

Amazon isn't working for you? Seems to load for me. And my ISP sucks!

Btw, that HP deal...lightning deal or GB deal? If it's a GB deal it'll be all day right?

Picked up the 3 LotR movies & Wizard of Oz on BD. I'm contemplating Hulk, Wrestler, & Public Enemies, but I'm trying to not blow the little money I have for Black Friday & Cyber Monday today. :p

Can anyone recommend some good international films that are cheaper than usual? I've added Waltz with Bashir already
Honestly, $19.99 is nothing special, even if it's a Disney/Pixar movie. I would definitely wait.
I see! Thanks for the response!

dang it HP for only $40. Already own all of them on DVD except 6 (Blu). What to do...

Edit: Anyone seen any good deals for Deadwood Complete Blu-Ray
I know Amazon has it for pre-order for $138

When I browsed through all the changes this morning I didn't see anything else unfortunately. The only other foreign film classics were Yojimbo/Sanjuro and Seven Samurai, but be prepared to throw down $30 plus for those. I almost bit on Seven Samurai, but I already have it on DVD and ~$40 is just way too much.

That's unfortunate. I ended up picking those three films up during the B&N 50% off Criterion sale. I absolutely loved watching them too. Thanks though for replying back Jodou!

I just got Prince of Persia ($10), Hot Tub Time Machine ($10), Zack and Miri Make A Porno ($8.50). I was able to slim down the cart to save as well.

Thinking of getting the LOTR trilogy for Blu, even though I have them on dvd already and will get the extended ed. release eventually down the line. I told myself I wouldn't double dip...

How long do you have to wait to be on this waiting list thing? I'm on it for Prince of Persia and I got a "fair" chance of getting the deal.

Will these $10 Blu-rays that aren't lightening deals last all week or are they just today? Wondering if I could wait a day or 2 to pick some of these up.
Dollhouse S1 Blu for $13.99...don't know if the lightning deal next Monday is going to be any better but eff it, I'm in. Always wanted to check this show out.
I picked up Dollhouse S1 blu ray for $13.99 too. one of my favorite shows ever. it doesn't seem like they have any in stock since it says ships in 4 to 6 weeks. that means u could just order it now and when next monday comes around u can price compare and cancel the $13.99 order if the lightning deal is cheaper.

A Prophet is a fantastic prison/crime drama. A must see.
I was on it for about 30 min, you need to just stare at that page until you get a message, that message will only last a very short time. DO NOT LEAVE THE COMPUTER TO PEE OR MAKE A SANDWICH.
Screw that. Just when I thought the waiting list was a good idea by Amazon. I wish they could push an alert to my iPhone or send me an email and give me 5-10 minutes to act on it.

Co-sign. I was on the website, got the message (pops up on the top right hand side) and I had 2 minutes to place the item in my cart.

Yeah, I missed it once as I was driving to the studio. I got back in line and it sold out. 0 for 2 in deals today.
A Prophet is a fantastic prison/crime drama. A must see.
Thanks. I'll check it out.

I double dipped on LOTR; I hated myself for doing it but for $24 for all 3 movies, it seemed like a fair price. It'll make it easier to wait for a spectacular deal on the EEs when they come out.

As much as I railed against it, I'm tempted to do the same. I really love those movies and would kill to see them in HD. The only thing holding me back is the rumor Target will have the entire trilogy for $8, which they supposedly confirmed. That is definitely worth double dipping for.

Decide on what that $24.97 - ($7.99 + tax) is worth to you.

really!? totally worth it for me since i have never seen it

where is the source? i did not see it in the ad anywhere.

That's the problem. The ad shows the photo of the trilogy but the description just reads Lord of the Rings. Supposedly someone from Target confirmed that they'll honor the promotion but no one has given me a link yet to validate that.

well lets hope its true then. for the time being, we can do a price adjustment. and that should work considering everyone on SD are doing that with the westinghouse tv. so maybe, ill go out and get the trilogy instead of having to beat the crowd.

Wow, amazon has the seasons and movies that I wanted to get at B&M stores on Black Friday but can now get without leaving at insane hours!

- The Office (DVD) season 5 for 12.99 which I was going to get at Target
- She's Out of My League (Blu) for 10.00 which I was going to get at Walmart,
- Dollhouse season 1 (Blu) for 13.99
Just a heads up, the Simpsons season 6 tomorrow is the normal box edition, NOT the Home boxset. Finding the normal boxset is very difficult. 12.99 is a steal.
Is it? I thought it was free. Meh, I have it..got it way back when they gave the replacements.
Only went with Withnail & I on BD for $5.99.

Even if the transfer is so-so. Too cheap to pass up.
Was this a lighting deal? It's much, much higher at the moment.
Is it? I thought it was free. Meh, I have it..got it way back when they gave the replacements.
Well the replacements were free. They no longer do them. For a while, the normal boxset only had a limited print run to be sold instore. Not sure if that's the case anymore or if Amazon found a ton.

Thank god I got in on the PoP deal right when it started. Shipped out for me today too.

Thus far grabbed only 3 things:

:br: Watchmen: Director's Cut - $8
:br: Taken - $8
:dvd: Blind Side - $4 (for the wife)

Still debating the damn LotR Blus...

thats easy for me. buy the trilogy at target and adjust it on BFBFBF

I have two Target's close to me and for me it's not a matter of paying 25 now for sure or maybe getting lucky and getting it for 8 later. The reason it's not is because I had no intention of buying this movie on Blu Ray until the extended edition came out and THEN wait until that came down in price. But if I can get the whole trilogy for 8 bucks I'll do it.

Man, I really hope they get a deal up on How to Train a Dragon and Fantastic Mr. Fox. Those are the last two high on my list.

wonder how much that lost complete series will go for, i already have 1-5 all with sleeves (including the 3rd season one) but i want that sexy complete set on my lost shelf with all my other lost goodies
Bit on withnail and I. Never heard of it before, but it seems interesting.
It's a super cult classic in the UK. I love it.

The summary on IMDB seemed interesting enough. Can't wait to watch it!

Dang, I wish I hadn't bought the stupid Homer head version last year. The normal one is indeed rare in comparison.
