User DrunkPollock Warning - Do not trade/Halt

Wow, what a scumbag. I sent him 7 gamecube games and it looks like I won't be getting anything in return now. I'll know by tomorrow for sure, but I'm not getting my hopes up. If anyone knows what I can do please help me out.

I explained the situation to my friend. Now i'll be honest... he said he didn't want to get into serious trouble, but he DID say he would check out the location sometime. I just got done talking to him on the phone (he's stationed in Fort Huachuca, 15 mins from the location you guys have been mentioning) the town is a rather small one, 5,000 people or so?

I was doing searches with the names you guys have posted and the ONLY one that i found on facebook to match was a 'Bryan James Pollock', with networks to Northern Arizona. Don't know if it's him or not though... only way to find out is by sending him a friend add.

Holy, geez! As this thread goes on, I am amazed by this guy's immense greed. He really went for broke with this deal. Let's hope the hammer will fall on him.

Its possible hes reading all this. All this talk might help him know what to watch out for or be prepared from any action. Is it possible he can be blocked from this forum or thread so that he cant see in here?

Ban him, which he currently isn't, dunno why not though.

lol i was ganna post this. he can run but he can't hide.

Plus I think banning him will affect the traders here. If hes banned then for sure he wont follow through with his trades. But most might be more inclined to think he for sure has no plans to send out anything. So banning him might be the thing to do.
are we getting our stuff back?
We have no idea. Most I know who had an online scam got nothing back, so I'm not betting on us getting our stuff back.
Even if he's IP banned, he can still read this thread.
Do you want this muthafucka to succeed or something, cause your really not helping? Go start a cheer thread for that bitch already. Like I said before if you dont want to help, bounce!
it looks like im not getting that ps3.... grhhhhh
He/she might not even have a 20GB PS3. Based on how scarce they are, I'm betting this person may not, but you never know.

I hate to be negative, but I doubt they even half have the stuff they was going to send. I haven't been scammed or anything, but from what I've heard people usually don't get there stuff back. Maybe if the guy gets busted they might. I think I speak for most when I say I rather see proof he went to jail or something of the sort for ripping people off. What makes someone even try to rip someone off. I guess some is just lazy people if it is a item or two,but as people have been saying what they sent to this guy there seems to be more, and more. Its almost like he watched a movie, and though hey I'll try that or months ago he thinks I've got so much feedback I think I will rip people off, and make some money. I've got some bad news for him mess with enough people your going to get burnt. I hope he gets fined for money way way up there in price, and goes to jail as well, and has to send everybodys stuff back or he is fined again. Maybe I'm just talking crazy

I'm certain I won't get my games or compensation for them. All it takes is one guy to ruin it all and I doubt I'll honestly do anymore trades here. I'll prolly just use Goozex for games, but if I do trades with anyone here, I'm not sending first. I'm not down for giving away brand new games for free.

There is some good people here, but If I did't get money for something I would feel the same way. I always hated shipping first when I had to.

okay.....got a call back from my local PD.

It's official...guy's name is George Novak, and he lived at 218 Stardust in Sierra Vista, AZ with a Rebecca Lane. BUT....they moved out, Sierra Vista PD went to that address and they stated that the house was empty with a moving truck parked out front. PD said to try and call the PO in Sierra Vista, say you want to know the new address of George, MAYBE they will have his new moving address, if not, she said call Sierra Vista PD and let them know how many people he cheated and what they were cheated out of. That should make them investigate and try to track him down...as of now all we know is his name. George Novak....no whereabouts..

So is this guy from Tucson? I'm just assuming based off the area code on the first post. I could provide some CAG recon if necessary.

Edit: Nevermind, looks like he was from Sierra Vista, which is about 45 minutes to an hour from here. Lots of Army folk in that town, he possibly could have been in the service and may be transferring.
maybe theres a tiny chance he is not scamming us. very very tiny. he wasnt lying about moving
I remember reading something about him sending stuff media mail. How long exactly has it been since he claimed he shipped it out?
There is some good people here, but If I did't get money for something I would feel the same way. I always hated shipping first when I had to.
I didn't mind sending first at all, but all it takes is one person to rip me off. As I said, fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

There are a ton of good people here and this could possibly be my only bad experience ever, but I lost out on a brand new game. I don't have the kind of disposable income to put myself at that kind of risk.

dont know. but im trying to piece this together. he was using two addresses becuase he was shipping some of the stuff to his old house and some of the stuff to his new house.

Well I called Sierra Vista and they told me to report to my local PD. I will do it tomorrow.

By the way, mods, you can add my name to the official ripped off list. I lost out on Condemned 2 and a sealed Condemned 1 for 360. Was supposed to get Lost Odyssey and Simpson's Game in return.

Hmmmmm. The bastard didn't want to scam us because he wanted to in the beginning. Its because he probably moving as stated and said, what the hell why not? I am sorry to all CAGs. I find it partially my fault because I was talking to Rebecca Lane yesterday >< Sorry guys..........

Outside of a few good friends here who I definitely trust (or those who have been really good to me), I doubt I'll be doing anymore trades here (except one to InuFaye who I promised for a while, since I can trust him).
There is some good people here, but If I did't get money for something I would feel the same way. But this time, I seriously cannot believe someone with perfect feedback doing this.

I honestly don't have a lot of money to lose from not receiving payment from video games.

So if he really is moving, as he told me as well, packages that have not been collected by him will be returned to the sender since no one will be there to pick them up at his "old" address, right?

no he probbably got an address change so all his mail would be transferred to his new address

Only if he didn't provide a forwarding address or request them to hold his mail.
no he probbably got an address change so all his mail would be transferred to his new address
Right, didn't think of that. I'm not sure if my package has arrived there yet but I requested a return of my package from Canada Post. Really hope something somehow comes out of this for all the people who lost games.
no he probbably got an address change so all his mail would be transferred to his new address
Yeah. Although now I'm starting to think he might have been a little more truthful than we thought (although I was never told about the moving), but at the same time this is quite weird.
Yeah. Although now I'm starting to think he might have been a little more truthful than we thought (although I was never told about the moving), but at the same time this is quite weird.
Well, he probably just told the truth about that for the reason wwe said...to be able to redirect the packages if they went to his old house.

Easy there, buddy. I'm just stating the facts. I would love to see everyone get their stuff back, but that most likely won't happen. ESPECIALLY if everyone in this thread is bashing the cops and threatening the dude. If law enforcement sees all of these things like "I hope he gets beat up, I'll send my friend there" ect ect, what do you think they will think? Just relax and handle the situation like an adult. Call the PD. If they tell you to call yours, call yours. If yours tells you to call the Sierra Vista PD, call again and tell them what yours said. Force the issue upon the PD.
If law enforcement sees all of these things like "I hope he gets beat up, I'll send my friend there" ect ect, what do you think they will think?
They'd say: "Hmm, sounds like a party, will there be donuts?"

But seriously now folks, Naes is right, we shouldn't take like that, we should try and follow the legal system even though it's corrupted and useless. Sound good?

I've been reading this from the beginning, and while I don't have any help to really offer, I have to say I really feel for you guys. This sucks a lot of ass and I wish I could help. All I can say is to keep pushing with the PD, tell Sierra Vista SEVENTEEN PEOPLE have gotten scammed from this guy from CAG alone and they need to seriously investigate. I know they've gone to the guy's house already, which is a good step, but they need it beaten into their heads that they need to investigate further.

Yeah, if they saw a moving truck, why couldn't they find who it belonged to or took the tags and found out which company and location its from, then find out who rented it and track them down that way?

Hell, I'm surprised they even WENT to the guy's house given their behavior when you guys are calling them. This happened in their jurisdiction, they can't dismiss this shit.

Yeah, it's good to see their taking at least some action. I can almost guarantee people won't get the games they traded for because he probably never had them, but there's a chance we may at least get our stuff back.
