V Series Debut: SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER to SPOILER on ABC 11/3!
I watch this show for no reason. I enjoy watching it, but the show is not that good. And I don't expect it to get good... I just watch it because, well I don't know. But I do.
I thought I was the only one. :)
Regarding the Army Making...did anyone else find it a little odd that Anna and Army Man mated while still in their Human disguises? They can't wear those disguises 24/7. They'd have to get pretty itchy. I'd like to think if there was ever a time to take off their human disguise it would be then. Unless they somehow get turned on by it...
theyre probably waiting for a big moment to finally show them fully unskinned.
But as Salmando said above you, they haven't made it clear at all why they care about politics vs. just waging war and taking what ever they need. Be it resources, or just taking over the planet etc.

And that makes it all seem odd.
yep... which was my first sentance. Plot isn't fleshed out.
War nothing...if the V's really wanted to just take everything, they could use their fancy tech to redirect some asteroids or other large heavenly bodies right at us. I'd also imagine they have the knowledge of Physics to aim those bodies at important military bases and whatnot. Humanity wouldn't stand a chance, and the V's wouldn't put a single man in the line of fire.

Instead, they're taking their good old time to get us dependent on them for everything. They're going out of their way to ensure as many humans as possible are alive for when they make their move. Why they need humans alive has been the biggest question I've had, and there's been no inclination of them answering it.
Agreed, they need the humans for something.

If they could slaughter them all, why go all politically to win over the people.....

it's missing from the show, and the only Ace that they are holding back... hopefully for the season finally, and season 2 will be nothing like the first one.

Can they even take them off? The punishment for some V's we've seen was being skinned which killed them.

Though I suppose that could have been taking off the lizard skin not just the human skin. But the little they showed it just looked like taking off the human skin.

when my DVR went out in feb with all of the eps on it didnt feel like watching it (same with flashforward) hopefully season 1 comes out on DVD drit cheap this summer. 15 or under

Same here, I said a few eps back that I am totally giving up on the show..but for some reason I am watching it anyways...
Holy Hell... V Got Renewed??
Yea holy hell indeed... i give it half a season before they can it....the season finale has to blow my mind if I am to watch season 2
Good. Hopefully they will do something next season.
I hope so. It needs a cameo by Robert England or someone else from the original series for a quick ratings boost.

I'm thinking someone is going to get knocked off at the end of the season by some mysterious person in the background that you can't see his face. I would not be suprised if Anna gets killed in some sort of public assassination attempt of sorts.
So I missed the last couple of episodes, anything of importance happen?
Hulu it.

just a run down

5c found a guy who was working on something but had to stop because it was affecting lizard life or something...this looks to be a nod to red dust from the original series.

anna sends out mis information that causes 5c to shoot down a shuttle full of humans...except they were already dead..setting up 5c and having the fbi form task force to pound 5c and do the dirty work for anna.

That one teen dude and supergirl knock boots in one of the shuttles :p

that dude's wife knows that the dude is a v and the baby is half v.

there is a v working for one the 5c task force with that other blond chick.

Thanks, yeah I know I can hulu it but honestly....I dont really want to watch them.

I actually would be happy with just a rundown of all the episodes because as I have said before...pretty much everything in the show can be summed up in last than a paragraph.
I still can't believe they saved this show and canned Flashforward.
Honestly they should just put the shows together and make one show, V's cause the flash forward! Then they get the viewers of both shows ;), your welcome ABC.

Maybe V will be like the reverse Heroes. It'll have a slow first season where not much else will happen, but the rest of the seasons will kick ass. I can hope, right?

Shit. Heroes got canceled. That show had its bumps, but even at its worst it was better than V. At least Heroes ends okay, where you can let your imagination run wild and still feel like the show got some closure (like Jericho).

Somewhere I read that rumors were saying that NBC would conclude Heroes with a possible miniseries or tv movie. Not sure thats a good thing but thats what I heard.

I think I'd rather they cancelled this and kept Flash Forward, at least that show had an interesting premise that I would've liked to have seen the whole story on. On this show I don't know why the aliens don't just take over. Oh well, at least they kept the show with the hotter actresses!

Oh yeah, and when the whole world was looking for Hobbs, with his mugshot posted everywhere, why the hell didn't he shave his face or something? I laughed when he put on the dark sunglasses.
No conclusion for Heroes, it's just done after the season finale.
Not true. I posted in the 2010/11 TV schedule that NBC will most likely give the fans a 2 or 4 hour finale for the show. It wouldn't hurt NBC to have the show air over the summer or whenever.

Reports are mixed on that from what I've seen.

Some like the one you posted saying they will. Others saying they considered it and decided not to.

I'm indifferent myself. I'd watch it, but the way the show has gone I'm sure whatever they come up with for a 2-4 hour wrap up would be an even worse ending for the series than just leaving it as is.

I'll summarize the 2-4 hour wrapup. Sylar goes bad, somebody kills Sylar, Sylar comes back but he's good. Sylar goes bad. Somebody kills Sylar. And then some stupid shit happens to warrant Matt Parkman being along for the adventure.

I've got it they can through Heroes into the mix^ if NBC lets them get the rights. They can call it V-FlashForward-Heroes. Angela Petrelli (can be a V, sister of Anna) and her powers were supercharged by Ando, which somehow flash forwards everyone into seeing the future.

Okay I think I have given this a little too much thought...:whistle2:#

Personally, I'm ok with it ending the way it did. With all the struggling the show did with the idea of heroes being revealed to the public, having it end with Claire showing her powers off to the world was sort of a satisfactory ending as it sort of closed that chapter. It may mean the heroes are hunted down or the end of the world as we saw in certain prophecies/time traveling, but considering some of the heroes on the show, that is an ending I can find just as satisfactory.

I'd be willing to put money on them making a movie of some sort, whether it be direct-to-dvd or televised. Despite Heroes poor ratings, it did really well in DVD sales, and this would give NBC a way to milk it once more.

It is true unless NBC announces otherwise. A possibility is just that, a possibility.

http://livefeed.hollywoodreporter.com/2010/05/nbc-cancels-heroes.html

It's official. NBC has cancelled "Heroes."The network seriously mulled bringing back "Heroes" for a shortened final season to wrap up the serialized show.
In the end, given the fairly high cost of the drama, the show's consistently declining ratings and the number of new hour-longs coming to NBC next season, the network decided the UMS-produced series wasn't worth an additional season. Sources say the network is still leaving the door open to conclude the show with a special or movie.

They should just sport the cash and give it at least a half season. 90% of the other horseshit they're debuting will be cancelled well before 4 seasons anyway. Better to invest in closure for Heroes and ensure continued box set sales. They went on and on about how the ratings were bad, but box set sales (even torrent activity) had it recognized as a very popular show. Shit, most of the shows out there wouldn't be canceled at all if broadcast networks stopped relying on Nielsen numbers for a false impression of a show's popularity or lack thereof.

Muahahah, this series is so god damn pointless. I love the fact that we all have tried really hard to like the show....but you cant squeeze blood from a stone and you cant turn this show into anything else but shit.

I say we make a drinking game out of the show:

Take a sip every time "fifth column, Vistors, or V's" is mentioned.

Take a sip every time Anna is being two faced.

Take a sip every time the preacher looks disappointed.

Take a sip every time Hobb's pisses off the other members of the 5th column.

Take a shot anytime the FBI chick does something to help the 5th column.

Down a beer anytime the reporter guy goes against the 5th column.

Down a beer anytime the Vistor's torture someone.

Down a beer anytime the 5th column use the ball communicator.

Any other suggestions?

I just want to make sure I recall correctly, Last episode Ryan got a call/text from the V doctor lady saying that the baby was born and everything was ok?
I just want to make sure I recall correctly, Last episode Ryan got a call/text from the V doctor lady saying that the baby was born and everything was ok?
No, I think the call said her water had broke and he'd better get over there quick.

Oh yes, now it's coming back to me. Thank you. I just could not remember what exactly had happened.

The entire season we never ONCE see what a full "V" looks like without their human skin on. Ugh. We didn't even get to see the baby for Christ's sake.

That's Abc's hook for the show. Everyweek ABC will be like "If you come back next week you MAY get to see what the Vs really look like!"

i liked this episode alot and its good to see them push towards what we knew was coming. still hoping to see more naked anna and i liked their use of the psuedo 28 days later music. on top of that im glad
they killed off his wife the bitch was annoying and im sure he will leave the shuttle and take the kid with him though i wonder if his kid will have powers like the one did in the original series.

it was a solid episode although i think that one guy has his own agenda.

I was flipping from the NBA play offs to V all night. I didnt even know it was a season finale.

I can read a review and get all I need to know from the series. I hope this doesnt get picked up for a second season because I would still unwillingly watch the damn thing.

Glad I DVR'ed it cause I fell sleep :(

Anyways have to watch it again but I got to say for such an advanced race it is very easy for one person to enter and destroy a nest like that and no one saw who did it?

No shit!

They have camera's on every V uniform lapel, but none on the ship?

And no system to detect the eggs healthy, or the detonation of the grenade?

I thought it was an ok season finale, but that part was just absurd.

I caught up on the season earlier today, and I must say it was pretty lackluster. I was hoping it would be something like Spartacus, where the first few episodes were poo, then the rest became really good. However, that did not happen with V. Unless I find myself with a lot of extra free time or other people that want to watch it, I doubt I will be back for season 2.
