What was the last CD you bought? - The Sequel

Did anyone else get

LCD Soundsystem - Pow Pow (12")

on Record Store Day? I ask because I think there was supposed to be an etching or something on the B side, but the B side on mine is completely blank, and I'm wondering if I got a bad pressing.

Hmm, I still need to get F#A#(infinity).

Uh, let's see... last time I went to the record store I got:

Belle & Sebastian - If You're Feeling Sinister (180 g)

...and some other records I can't recall right now. Oh, I also ordered

The New Pornographers - Together (LP + 7")

so hopefully that will get to me soon. I've been enjoying it almost all day, thanks to NPR.

I purchased Metric's "Fantasies". I rarely buy CDs, but this CD was on sale for pretty cheap (6 bucks) and I couldn't pass that up.

I just got Old World Underground. Not as good as Fantasies, definitely not as good as Live It Out.

Got these from an estate sale in the back country, their selection really surprised me too (I turned down a John 5 album that just looked too kitsch).

Deep Purple - Burn
Montrose - The Very Best of Montrose
Rammstein - Reise, Reise

John 5's albums are very good. If you've ever listened to Buckethead, that's what I'd compare the sound to.

Anybody heard the new Deftones album Diamond Eyes? I have heard about half of the tracks and it seems pretty good. Again I have a really hard time hearing the lyrics (why not bring them more to the front on the mix since Chino has interesting lyrics) but the sound is definitely Deftones even with the different bassist.

I posted a page back that I bought it, and I do like it. I was never into Deftones before this album actually, I never gave them a chance. I heard a song off the new album on Sirius and thought it sounded good so I picked it up. Now I'm going through all their back catalog since I liked the new one.
Well then the answer is fairly simple tcrash. Get White Pony. I have Adrenaline as well but I'm not too fond of it at all.
I second White Pony.

I picked up Diamond Eyes last week, my first listen wasn't all that great but the album is really starting to grow on me.

I want this. Though probably not popular opinion, I contend that this is one of the best Modest Mouse records.

You can buy a new copy of it here for $14.
