What was the last concert/show you went to?

So, with 2009 here, I think it would be cool to see everyone's planned concert lineup.

Here's mine,

Jan. 9 Uzi & Ari
Jan. 14 Mackintosh Braun
Jan. 17 Griffinhouse
Jan. 22 Lenka
Jan. 28 DeVotchka

Feb. 10 Delta Spirit
Feb. 20 The Appleseed Cast
Feb. 21 The Submarines
Feb. 25 Andrew Bird
Feb. 27 Annuals

March 5 Dear and the Headlights
March 13 Blitzen Trapper
March 17 Mirah

I hope I can make it to all of these.

I should have a huge lineup once the free concert series that Salt Lake City has, is announced. Last year's lineup was amazing, and it's gotten better every year, so this one should be fantastic.

See last years lineup here.

Jan. 30 - Amebix; Kylesa

Feb. 13 - Titus Andronicus; Los Campesinos
Feb. 14 - The Pains of Being Pure at Heart; The Depreciation Guild
Feb. 20 - Delta Spirit
Feb. 22 - Witch

March 1 - ...And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead
March 13 - AC Newman
March 15 - That 1 Guy

I doubt I will make it to all of those, especially the blitz of February shows, but here's hoping.

You better be going to Delta Spirit for sure. ;) They're playing 2 shows here, but one of them is at a bar. I wish I could go to both. Trail of Dead and The Hold Steady are coming to bars too. Being under 21 stinks.

That reminds me: I think Trail of Dead is coming to Dallas in the next couple months. Late February, I want to say. Hopefully I can get out to see that, even though the last time I saw them (right after "So Divided" came out) they were kind of lame. Hopefully their new record hearkens back to the awesomeness that was the "Source Tags"-"Worlds Apart" era.

I'd love to see the Hold Steady...last time they were around here no one would go with me.

And yeah, I really hope I can make that DS show.

I already have tickets for:

1/6: Glasvegas
1/15: Seabound with De/Vision
1/18: Nightmare of You
1/19: Cursive
1/22: Matt and Kim
2/6: Murder by Death
2/11: Combichrist
3/21: Cut Copy
5/14, 15, 16, 17: Kinetik Festival

I don't have tickets but I will most likely be attending:

1/8: Head Automatica
3/11: The Airborne Toxic Event
3/24: Bloc Party
4/3: Cold War Kids or The Presets
4/17, 18, 19: Coachella
8/7, 8, 9: Lollapalooza
Holy fuck, I hope you made it, bmachine.
Crystal Castles and AP2BS ended up being sold out...disappointing but not surprising, I guess.
We did make it to the Amanda Palmer show, which was pretty amazing.

Ah well, at least you made one of 'em.

You'd best make it to those two.
Saw Glasvegas last night, awsome awsome awsome show.
Bastard! ;)

I've been listening to that CD like it's my job this week. Unfortunately, they were just here in NYC and I couldn't get out of a business trip so I missed 'em.

They're going to be on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson on Thursday night, IIRC.

they are coming back to the uS in a few months XD

Mackintosh Braun last night.

It was one of the smallest shows I've ever been to, but it was good (I counted 27 people, 9 of which, were in bands that opened for them.)

And if anyone's interested, their new album is free to download on Last.fm

Lenka last night, it was a really good show. During one of the songs she sang without any of the band's instruments and she played some radio frequencies from World War 2 in the background. It was really cool.

Oh, and I still have that Metallica code if anyone's interested.

I saw Delta Spirit for my second time last night.

This show was amazing, if you have a chance to see them live, do it! This band puts so much energy into their live shows. I really enjoyed the opener bands Dawes, and Other Lives too.

It was $8 well spent.

I saw Opeth with High on Fire and Baroness at Rams Head Live in December.

I must also point out that last summer I saw Children of Bodom, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Testament, Motorhead, Heaven & Hell, and Judas Priest in what can only be considered the ultimate metal summer.

I saw Cursive in NYC in January and Murder by Death last week. Other than those, it's been a fairly quiet winter for me.

Just ordered my tickets for The Faint/Ladytron tour this morning, though...and I've got Morrissey, Bloc Party, The Decemberists, and OKGO on the horizon, too.

It's been kinda slow but recently I've seen the following (not together)

-Animal Collective
-Department of Eagles
-Beirut
-The Pains of Being Pure at Heart

This Sunday I'm seeing Los Campesinos! & Titus Andronicus, it should be awesome

I just went to see them last night at Bowery Ballroom and they were pretty amazing. Dawes was really good too. I didn't really like Other lives though.

Cynic
Meshuggah
The Faceless

Amazing set by Cynic, but pairing them with Meshuggah and Faceless was a bad idea (annoying fanbase, that heckled at Cynic or just looked bored waiting for a breakdown or solo). The Faceless would be decent without a singer, but all in all they're a huge Cynic/Spawn of Possession rip-off band, right down to the artwork and use of vocoders haha. I skipped Meshuggah, but the way they tour I'm likely to see them live again...next week.

I saw the Trail of Dead at their in-store in Dallas last Thursday. I really wanted to go to their show that night, but I had to get up at 4:30 AM on Friday morning to catch a flight to Florida, so I decided to pass.

The next concert I'll try to catch will probably be Andrew Bird in March.

I saw Ryan Adams & the Cardinals last night. I've never really listened to him/them but the show was really excellent. Saturday I'm going to see Grizzly Bear and I'm super excited.

I think the last one for me was: Flogging Molly, Black Joe Lewis, And The Smoking Popes. I was supposed to go see Mac Lethal a while back, but ended up going to Blue Man Group instead. . . meh. Any way, The Hold Steady is going through Iowa, and will be at the Picador . . . .And I think MSI is playing sometime soon at the House Of Blues, Chi.

Cynic latest album is really great. But they definitely should not be paired with Meshuggah and Faceless.

My Last concert was Rush at PNC in August. Great show.

Annuals with Jessica Lea Mayfield, and What Laura Says.

Great show, they played a nice long setlist. They also joked about going to see a local band called Band of Annuals that was playing at a different venue on the same night.
