The "FIREBALL" thing is a warning when an enemy is about to use that weapon. In some of the higher difficulties, the AI gets the ability to use items (only 2 kinds though). One is the fireball, and it gets it a lot. Luckily, it doesn't home too well, so it isn't cheap.
P.S. No one answered my question on how the multiplayer in the PSN version of the game works...
I understood that (since the video never showed the player using that, but it was just annoying hearing that all the time.
As for your question, I guess no one bought it, to be able to answer it for ya. =/
They also added three PC Engine games this week:
Blazing Lazers
Neutopia II
Salamander a/k/a Life Force
I've seen people talk highly of PC Engine and NEO GEO games coming to the US PS Store. Let me temper that for a moment:
1) Even in Japan, where they have around 300 PSOne Classics, they have about 24 PC Engine games and 0 NEO GEO games.
2) The US PSOne Classics collection is a smattering of a small handful of excellent games, a giant chasm of neglect in games that are available in other regions that we haven't seen here, and a big boatload of bullshit titles. Do you think they're really going to handle PCE/NG titles well? Based on what evidence?
As for Shin Megami Tensei's price, ¥1000 startled me, too. But it's not the highest priced PSOne Classic, as Final Fantasy Tactics is the same price, and FF VII/VIII/IX are ¥1500 a piece.
Understandable about PC Engine, at least we know for sure that Dreamcast is coming in Sept., so we have that to look forward too, wished they'd put up Jet Set Radio Future (even though it's not a DC game, I'd buy it day 1)
Whether or not they put them on is anybody's guess, I assumed (and it's still too early to tell) that PSN+ was going to start ushering in new content faster, more PS1, and also DC, TG16, Neo Geo, PS2(?!) and who knows what else...
Lastly, I see the value in FF 7,8,9, they are all over 1GB in size, FFT is questionable at that price, even though it's a great game, but my shock (and surprise) was seeing a 60MB game for that amount of money which just blew my mind, and I can't believe Atlus JPN isn't ashamed at selling something so small for such an inflated price.
I've played and beaten the SNES version and played some of the GBA version (which is based off of the PS1 remake) and I can't see how they believe it's worth that much money SMT game or not given the small file size of the title and how old/clunky the battle interface is (think Phantasy Star 1-4).
