The demo is ok. Really big areas, and it sucks you gotta drive all the way back to a race. Also, is it just me or is the text small as hell? Maybe my eyes are getting worse or my t.v. sucks, but damn. I gotta sit forward just to read all the stuff going on. I don't know if I'll buy the game right away. Also the online kind of sucked. It wasn't even racing, just driving around the level. Is there a way to just race?
Can you actually race people online or just compare stuff and screw around?

And is DJ Atomica the guy from SSX 3? They sound similar.
It is. You can race them, if you start up a race.

The final game will have many more events, so if you fail an event and drive across town, there'll be stuff around you to do that go back across town.

well I was gonna d/l it from 360 and PS3 and compare but now with the new policy that silver members can't d/l demos till a week later... guess i'll just try the Ps3 one.

Anyone with XBL gold test the differences?
The options mention wheel force feedback, so I'd guess that they should work.
If it does that's pretty much a shoe in that i'm getting the ps3 version.
Man, I've been downloading this demo for about 4 hrs and it's not finished downloading yet. Currently at 87%...
I know what you mean. I jumped into Resistance and when I got out it was at the same amount, so it took even longer to download. For some reason these things only download half the time when I'm actually playing a game.

Yeah when it comes to downloading demos, the 360 definitely takes the cake. Downloads are much much slower on the PS3. Anyways, it finally finished so I'm off to give it a try.
Great demo so far, but when I joined multiplayer after about 2 minutes my PS3 froze. :(
Just had that happen to me, too, which sucked, but I'm hoping they'll have dedicated servers for the full game. I like just being able to jump out of random freeburns with very little hassle.

yeah mine froze in multi player just now.

Still mixed feelings about this game. The world feels very much like NFS Most Wanted without the cops + Burnout flavor. It's not bad and the online aspect has potential. I wish the damn ps3 came with a headset so more people would use chat. It's a bit empty playing with random people crashing into each other without some smack talking and hard to coordinate goals.

Good to see they enabled rumble. Haven't tested my wheel on it yet

I'm really liking this. The in-game ads weren't all that distracting to me. I went "huh" and went back to playing. For a game like this, they really help me immerse into the world.

Haven't had any problems online yet, wasted 2hrs already jumping from freeburn to freeburn and hosting my own.

First freeburn I was in, everyone but me had the playstation eye. Everytime We'd crash I'd see their picture.

Oh man. Even though it was already late, I knew I had to try out the demo now or else I'd be thinking about it at work all day tomorrow. Aaand now it's even later! Oh boy. Looking forward to playing this some more this weekend.

Also, I really enjoyed all the billboards for CompUSA. Very timely.

I got the demo in 25mins.

(i don't have fancy internet either)

Didn't take me long either through my wireless connection. I'd say about 30 minutes while browsing the web on the PS3 and gaming online on my PC

goat, there is a Christmas skin for Piyotama in the JPN PSN store, so you can try that (it is free), or hope that it'll come here in the next week.

There is also a special christmas demo for PSP LocoRoco in the JPN PSN store.

And 4500 Yen for fuckin' GT: Prologue!?!?!?! Holy cow that's 'SPENSIVE!

I doubt it. It was pretty impacted last night right around 6-7

I tried the demo and am digging it, I really like the open world and love that there's no load times. I did a second look when I saw the CompUSA bilboards too, then I thought they should have a big "going out of business" sign in front of it.

I wonder if I can use my EyeToy with this, it just mentions a USB camera, not the PSEye specifically. Has anyone used the EyeToy with this?
Is Wild Arms worth the $6? I feel like playing something new on my PSP and don't feel like going out to buy a game tonight.
If you haven't played it, I'd say go for it. It was one of the last RPGs to come out before FF7 made everything strive to be all 3D and crazy. Fun battle system with some interesting special abilities, great soundtrack and 2D map graphics, although I don't know how well the battle graphics have aged. Also YOU CAN RENAME EVERY SPELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know why more games don't allow this. It would have increased my enjoyment of DQ8 about 5000%.

Alright, I bought it.

I love how I'm able to buy it and pay the EXACT AMOUNT. Good stuff. I'll play it later, I don't know if it's done downloading yet, but it was going really slowly last I checked.

Well, as long as it's $5 or more. If your wallet is empty and you want to buy a $4 item, you have to put $5 in.

Wild Arms is fantastic. Definitely one of my favorite RPGs (favorite in the series for sure).

Anyway, when checking the Official PlayStation site, Snakeball is listed as December 20th, so that might be our PSN release.

I was thinking Toy Home, since I got an email saying it was coming soon (usually, that's what comes next). Dark Mist, Toy Home, etc, are probably on deck.

In case people want to know more about the SSHD update, there's some info here:
http://www.ps3fanboy.com/2007/12/16/super-stardust-hd-gets-a-sneaky-patch/

If the Clan support for SSHD is true, then I definitely nominate myself for being the CAG Clan leader.

Hmm...

is it just me, or did they remove the Ninja Gaiden Sigma DLC from the store? I find it odd that Sony removes content from their store, even free stuff too.

EDIT: It might be me since I got the Ninja Gaiden DLC, but it's still odd.

Burnout Paradise Demo kicks ass, online play is nicely intergrated :D

I hope this is just the tip of the iceberg of the full game. Taking people down is awesome, and the chases I've been in have been epic haha.

Hit the boost, go through traffic, hit jumps, drift corners, do a 360, get behind my pursuer, then t-bone that fool.

I had to go through the initial tutorial before getting into your game. Hopefully I catch you again.:) I can't play tomorrow afternoon though.

Yeah this has to be one of the best demos I have ever played the fact that you can go online with it is brilliant. Just spent the past hour crashing my car. At least it isn't to long till the actual release of the game

I'm so glad to see Toy Home up. I'm definitely buying it. I need to try out an old demo to Warhawk to decide if I should buy it or not (to see how it holds up). Downloading Snakeball demo now.

Already downloaded Folklore content and PS3 commercials in 1080 (they look great too).

It was up yesterday Rolento, or the day before.
Hehe.

I keeps crashing on me though when I try to fold.
I think I have to turn off the music.

Graphics might make your head hurt these days, but the music and gameplay is topnotch.

I'm buying it.
One of my top ten games on PSX.
