Great picks I would have personally subbed American Gangster for another one of the suggestions but that is me being a hater I guess.

I believe I put Del on my list of suggestions and you can pick up anything by him and be satisfied.
American Gangster is going to cost me $2.88, I can deal. hehe
By the way where are getting your CDs for so cheap?
Should I check out the Boom Bap Project?
Yes.

Buy.com with GCO. I'm putting $40 on a Visa Gift Card. Then I'll make 10 seperate yahoo accounts and I can use Google Checkout on each one.

Nice.

I really recommend everyone buy The Cool. It's a great cd. I've been listening to it all day and have been constantly impressed. It's overall just really slick. I really...REALLY want Lupe's stuff to sell more than **** like Soulja Boy or T-Pain.
Gang Starr is on there twice. Recommend some Cypress and Del albums.
u gotta expedite that gangstarr shyt man... DJ Premier is pretty much the human embodiment of hip-hop, and Guru is top 5 emcee for me.

they have a lot of early work before Moment of Truth came out, but Full Clip is their greatest hits CD. All the classics like Dwyck, Just to Get a Rep, Mass Appeal, etc are on it!

speaking of Primo, I think this is one of his most overlooked beats:

also pretty much anything Premier/MOP is golden:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wMS6Pdizb60
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgUBK1Q83Es
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EujWCrTeGPk

He also entirely produced:
Jeru the Damaja - Sun Rises in the East
Jeru tha Damaja - The Wrath of the Math
Group Home - Livin Proof

also dont just listen to Del... also check out:

Souls of Mischief - 93 Til Infinity
Hieroglyphics - 3rd Eye Vision
Casual - Fear Itself

Man you just reminded me of a Kickass joint that Dj Premier recently collabed with KRS-One, Rakim, Nas and Kanye West. If you heard it before thats cool but its just one good song...to bad they only did one.

That is 100% pure uncut Hip Hop right there.

Holy damn.

I've been listening to Zeebra's The Rhyme Animal album. Man, that album sounds amazing. If Adult Swims hip-hop bumps were ever inspired by an album, this had to be it.

Zeebra's the shyt man... King Giddra all day.

anyway has any1 ever bought a brand new CD and play it only to hear a song skip, then look at the CD and notice a big azz scratch on it?!?!?!
A'ight people, it's getting to be 'bout that time of year... Where's your top albums of 2007 list?
Damn, when I think about it there isn't really a clear cut top album this year...this might take some time. It'll be interesting to hear what everyone picks though.
A'ight people, it's getting to be 'bout that time of year... Where's your top albums of 2007 list?
I need a list of what came out this year...

All I can think of at the moment that would be on the list is Ear Drum and The Cool.

I've got a mostly done list that I'll post in a day or two.

for a quick taste of my list:

My favorite hip hop album of the year is Ohmega Watts' Watts Happening though. And Gabriel Teodros's Lovework is by far the most important album to drop in the last 15 years or so.

Real quick before I chime back with my favorite albums of the year:

I finally got around to listening to the new Jedi Mind Tricks' album and noticed a song called "Bloody Tears." Sure enough, it samples (or interpolates) the classic Castlevania track! Not the best that could've been wrung out of it but at least it's straightforward enough.

On another note, I sometimes find it hard to take Vinnie Paz seriously 'cause he kinda reminds me of Patton Oswald.

my top 5 of the year:

51Wkc8bR4-L._AA240_.jpg

61pv7JR-9NL._AA240_.jpg
51sPHOmWIgL._AA240_.jpg

there still a lot of records I aint heard yet that could take a place (Ghostface, Freeway, Lupe, Ohmega Watts, Witchdoctor, WC, etc) and prolly a few I cant remember rite now also, but as it stands those are my tops.

also I'm halfway thru Mood Music 3... very good shyt indeed!! Joey is mad nice with them punchlines!!

and yeay... u cant take Vinnie Paz seriously lol... dood's like angry for anger's sake.

edit:

fukk it, top 6 (potentially) coz I've been banging this a lot recently (I jus got it):
