Ouch, I was just joking with lilboo.
Hey man, there's nothing that relates this trivia to homosexuality, and it's really not cool to throw that word around - especially that boldly - in a derogitory manner. Prejudice - it's not cool. Hopefully you'll realize how awful it is to make that connection some day and get it out of your speech habits. You really don't want to be saying GAY in a bad way around someone that actually is gay. And the excuse "I didn't mean gay as homosexual, but as stupid or lame or whatever" doesn't work... because then you're just telling them you refer to them with the same word you use to refer to things that are stupid lame or whatever. I guess this is pretty far off topic and all, but I had to say it. Someone has to say it. Thanks.

Ouch, I was just joking with lilboo.
I understand you're joking. But that's my point. You probably have never thought of the word GAY like I have, or like homosexual people have. It's not something to throw around as a joke as it's much more serious and potentially hurtful than that. Just like people don't throw around racial slurs - well people do, and they deserve to be called on it - all the time and just get off with the defense "oh I was only joking." Not every's alright with that sort of "joke". Just saying, you know. Think about it sometime.

The one night I remember to check the site on time. Wonderful!

Get over yourself... I have many gay friends and they take no offense to the word "gay". It originally never meant anything to do with homosexuality. Youre the one making the word a slur by treating it as such.

Haven't recieved my points from yesterday or my game from the 1st. Or any contact from them at all. Anyone that won on the 1st or last night hear from LPW?

Just to keep this out of the way of those interested in the LPW contest...

Just because you and your friends aren't bothered by a word or action doesn't mean that you can decide that the tension doesn't exist. If using the word gay in a negative way and not referring to a homosexual bothers me or any gay person, then yes, it's a slur. Do you think you could walk down to a gay rights movement and yell "Man, that is so GAY!" and get away without being confronted by people en masse that consider that slur and prejudice and hate speech? Of course not, not even if you were with your gay friends that aren't offended. So no, I'm not getting over myself because I'm standing up for acceptance. You get over yourself for supporting fair weather oppression.

Well first off, Naes just so you know I was never offended. Believe me there are far worse things people that can say. I'm just not one to be offended by things like that. I guess I have a sense of humor? ::shrugs:: But in a way, Iowa has a point because some people COULD be offended.. but we all know that, right? LOL

Iowa, I do appreciate that though. I think you jumped a little too hard on Naes, but I know what your intentions where and it was nice. So thank you...and that's not just for me.

ON TOPIC:
Once again, fuck these people who keep winning every god damn night!!

You are quite the little activist arent you? "I stand up for the rights of all my fellow homosexuals on the internet!". You ever stop to consider if the person that wrote it or if I myself was gay? Then would they or I be in the wrong, or would it be ok? For example, the use of the "N" word is condoned by African Americans, but only to be used by African Americans.

Im not trying to be a dick and start a fight, but I really have never understood why people make a big deal of using "gay".

The definition is as follows:

–adjective 1.having or showing a merry, lively mood: gay spirits; gay music. 2.bright or showy: gay colors; gay ornaments. 3.given to or abounding in social or other pleasures: a gay social season. 4.licentious; dissipated; wanton: The baron is a gay old rogue with an eye for the ladies. 5.homosexual. 6.of, indicating, or supporting homosexual interests or issues: a gay organization. –noun 7.a homosexual person, esp. a male. –adverb 8.in a gay manner.

Was he using a noun to describe something?...

Actually no, I didn't mean to jump on him at all. I never was angry or anything. Just one of those things that really bothers me and I felt I needed to explain (calmly) to him why it was inappropriate before he finds out the hard way and really pisses someone off. It was this ignorant jerk, karmapolice - whose name is obviously hypocritical to his nature, that turned the conversation to the aggressive side. I've got nothing against naes, rather I was just giving him another point of view of his actions.

I'm kinda pissed that they can't even make the trivia work right without having something go wrong, or having a question with wrong answers several times in a row. With the scavenger hunt, there have been several questions that have just been plain wrong since they didn't check their damn facts.

The site says the trivia starts at 8PM CST. So I show up at 9EST, and they tell me the next game is in 24 hours.
1) wtf
2) Where is the link to play? Does it only show up right before the trivia starts?

As usual, Ian is a fucking jackass. There's just only a couple ways to say it.

I can't believe we gave Iowaholdem shit. He won like twice, meanwhile this Ian character has won probably 7+ times more than that.
Yeah, Resident Evil 3 is TOTALLY a Wii game.
Was that question 4 that was the snowy hillside or something? That didn't look like RE3 at ALL , otherwise I woulda guessed it anyway regardless of being a Wii game or not. Either way by the time I got to question 4 and guessed it wrong once Ian had already one. Granted I did get two errors but they didn't slow me down THAT much.

More importanly, will I ever get my points or my games? My friend, hockeyman, won on the 7th for 2000 points and never got them either =/

Haven't they done that one before? That's the only way I knew the Brawl and RE3 screens. I messed up though, I had to refresh after getting an error on the first question, so I immediately hit the Q1 answer again and then saw it was Prime. Boo.

And actually, Doomed. I won 5 times. I didn't claim it after 2, though, for fear of a mob riot hunting me down. Those were all long ago though, nothing recently. Boo.

EDIT: Well, I think I won 5 times. Maybe it was only 4...
First time I remember to play in like two weeks and Ian wins again in like 1 minute.
With this type of quiz, it only would take one minute. Though the RE3 shot threw me off since I thought it was a trick question or something!

I didn't even find out about this quiz until just a few days ago (when I noticed it on this site I hadn't used since before August) even though I always checked the site to see if they had a different sign up offer for wii points.

RE3 was bullshit. Not only is it not a Wii game, but I have no idea how a game in Raccoon City starring a girl in a blue tube top has a screenshot of a guy in a black cape in the snow in front of an oil refinery.

They're reusing questions...I'm thinking that it's on automatic now or something since they haven't been sending out codes. Maybe it's out of control. The RE3 question was definitely on there before, with the same error.

No, they've actually added stuff like multiple winners. I won both times they've done that and they just continue to ignore me.

Tonight's theme is Since we just got a new shipment of Wii Point in, we're going to be taking the night to send them out to all the winners and participants in our Wii Point Promotion. Trivia will be back at the regular time Tomorrow!

Administrator wasn't even online last night. Needless to say, I've yet to hear from anyone or receive my Wii Points.
Kirby won!! OMG...

Ok, I'm kidding. But now I know why I stopped playing there for a while.
At first I was only slightly annoyed, but this is getting ridiculous. They really need to start limiting how many times you can win per month or something.

Edit: I sent them a PM on their forum making a suggestion to at least limit the amount of times you can win within a certain time frame. If several others did it, I don't know, they might consider it.

I signed up for that stamps.com trial and i havent gotten any word from them about sending me wii points. Has anyone else had any luck with this? (I didnt bother to read through the whole thread)

I did that stamp one a while ago with them and I did get points (if that's what you're asking)

I think if enough of us bug them with PMs complaining that there should be a limit on how many times you can win within a time frame, I really think they will implement it.
I'm completely with you in that regard. Just as I was submitting my last answer he gets it!
I got the last one wrong my first guess, second guess... same as you. Feel kinda stupid though..

That is what I was wondering. I didnt recieve an email or anything stating they knew I completed the offer. Guess Ill wait and see.

Nope. Signed up on 12/20. Let the Stamps trial run a few weeks. Cancelled it. Emailed these guys a ton of times. Sent my verification email to them for proof. Haven't heard a word back from them. Doesn't look like any of us are getting Wii points any time soon.

Thats what I figured. Oh well. If it comes it comes if it doesnt it doesnt. Its not like I paid anything.

Amazing. How fucking stupid are these people?

Well I want to know how many times each of the top 10 players have actually won something.

1st moiety - no idea
2nd bdmix87 - no idea
3rd evilmax17 - no idea
4th easycheese124 - no idea
5th yoshi - no idea
6th AlterForm - no idea
7th forallofthis - no idea
8th darth007 - I've won 3 times.
9th 1day - won 0 times?
10th chibikykiske - won 0 times?

My point is that not all of us in the top 10 are "dominating." Remember that the top 10 are those that answer accurately, not win a lot.
How hard are these questions? If possible can someone give me an example
Not too bad mostly, but they fuck with you a lot. Like having a screenshot from Resident Evil 3 in a trivia contest about Wii. Or having completely wrong answers.
