Will Joel finally leave his fiancee in GGT 132? No, he is a bad person.

Everybody should play Chantelise right now.

I agree.

I we should add Braid to the list of things to not talk about in the GGT anymore along with
Joel's Penis

The list of things to never speak of period. fuck, that game makes me regret giving *any* money to the developers of the humble bundle.

Finished all but the multi (minus 1 piece of concept art to be found) of ISTP. It's kind of a let down. The artwork is amazing though.
I like Braid. It was very thought provoking.
Everything you say is thought provoking. Doesn't mean I like you.

I totally do.
:puke:

I had some seriously fucked up dream last night and I can't remember anything other than it being really fucked up. It had something to do with me getting Hank to grill rare and big game animals, though. Shark was good.

Whoa, holy shit.

We’re excited to introduce a new PlayStation Network event: PLAY. PLAY is a brand-new annual program, where we’re bringing you four of the season’s hottest PlayStation Network action titles. With every purchase of a PLAY title in PlayStation Store throughout the duration of the program (which ends on 20 September 2011), you’ll receive a separate piece of DLC for each game, plus a new theme with every pre-order (pre-orders will be available for a limited period prior to release of the game, see details below). If these incentives aren’t enough, if you purchase all four PLAY titles in PlayStation Store by 20 September 2011, you’ll get a PSN voucher code for PayDay: The Heist as a bonus gift. And, PlayStation Plus subscribers will get an automatic 20% off every purchase of a PLAY title if they purchase them by 20 September 2011.

Hopefully they bring this to the US store.
I was going to buy SF3SOE and Bloodrayne anyway, so 20% off is nice since I'm PS+.
I'll buy the other 2 to get L4D:Bank Heist edition for free.

NICE, it is!

BloodRayne actually seems good, like a successor to SotN or something.
Wasn't really planning on buying the Death Spank game, or Renegade ops, but at 20% off and getting a free copy of The Heist... sold. :bouncy:

I suppose I need to buy the second Death Spank game now, then... :whistle2:k

Yeah, I just looked up BloodRayne, and it actually looks pretty sweet. I never played a Death Spank game, but I did enjoy the demo of the first one enough that I won't mind playing this third game. I want The Heist anyway, so I might as well get all 4 of those games now.

Hi-Five -- we'll heist together!

Man, now I'm tempted to buy all that shit, since I'm definitely getting 3SO and maybe Bloodrayne. . . :whistle2:k

Lame as hell: Morrowind only discounted enough for me in a pack which half of is a game i already own thanks to steam summer sales. fuck you, ID software.
Yes indeed. September 20th will be a busy day with both The Heist and Gears 3.
Heist doesn't come out til October. "Preorder" starts on 9/20.

Ah, I see. I misread that. That's good then! I don't play too many multiplayer games, so 2 in 1 day would have been overwhelming.
So hyped to play ICO for the first time next month.
Honestly I'm a bit scared to replay it. I don't want it to feel aged and tarnish my memory of it!
Doesn't look very dated. Combat seems pretty basic, otherwise it very much seems like a one of a kind game.
Yeah, I mean, I don't actually think it will feel too aged, but it's hard not to worry a little bit when a game is 10 years old and is now getting the HD treatment, which will lead me to comparing it to modern games.
If a developer re-releases a game, it says to me that they think it's good enough for me to buy amongst contemporary competition.
Yeah, exactly. And my worry (as slim as it is) is "what if it doesn't quite hold up as well as I remember it?"

I'm not saying the game will be bad or anything. I'm just saying that for me, it's pretty much my favorite game ever, so even a slight disappointment would be a shame.

Meh. An updated re-release could just be a cash grab hoping to capitalize on nostalgia just as much as it could be the developer thinking it hasn't aged. No way to know until reviews and checking it out for yourself.

I never got around to playing ICO last gen. It never really seemed like my cup of tea, and I did try--and not like at all--Shadow of the Colossus which further discouraged me from trying ICO.

Oh well, I don't have a PS3, so moot for me since I can't give it a shot now anyway.

And nostalgia grabs should be critically punished!

The Golden Eye remake, for example, just exemplified how terrible it is compared to modern shooters. Where as there are certainly age old shooters that can stand shoulder to shoulder with contemporary games as well.

Yeah, when a game puts itself out there amongst modern games, I don't believe in giving it a free pass critically just because it's old and remembered nostalgically. Still though, it is painful to have your memories crushed when you go back to something that you remember fondly. If a game can pull of nostalgia, while still being a good game though, that is always refreshing. I think Ocarina of Time is like that for a lot of people.

Yeah, as much as I've lost interest in Nintendo over the years, there's no denying that some of their greatest games like Ocarina of Time, Super Metroid, many of the mario games etc. are timeless and just as fun today as they were when I was playing them as a kid.

I'm reallllly on the fence about Skyrim. I don't usually like fantasy settings all that much, but I kind of want it just for the dragon hunting aspect.

Ok, let me see if I understand this correctly. They're going to let us pre-order these games next week for 20% off each (yes, I'm PSN+) and they're going to give us bonus DLC/goodies for doing so? You also get a free game if you pre-order all of them? Ok... that's pretty frickin' sweet. I was sold on 3sO the moment it was announced and I want Bloodrayne. Not sure about the other two, but fuck yea!
Hopefully I can use Gill in online ranked matches. Except if so, everyone else would be using him too.
You hoe, you're only supposed to use Gill against chun-li!
$149 for the Skyrim special edition? I think I'll be passing on that one.
Hank will buy it.

I have a friend that wants Skyrim just to "fuck dragons up." The random encounters of dragons seems like the biggest draw to a lot of people who will be disappointed that they're not fuckin' shit up as soon as they start the game. Day 1 for me, though.

That's an oddly specific thing to buy such a massive game for. I thought the dragon thing was a cool concept but I mean...it's Oblivion. The dragons are one of many things to do in the game, and it's not going to play like Ninja Gaiden when you're taking one down.

I know more "bro gamers" than actual "gamers." Same dude just shoots everything in Fallout with no regard for the story or consequences. The dude I live with feels the same way. He tried Fallout for an hour, did the intro, got bored, then decided to just kill everything he saw. Went back to COD and never touched the game again. Whenever Skyrim is brought up, it's always about the random dragon encounters and how cool it looks. :\

EDIT: Maybe it's just my friends so I shouldn't say "a lot", but even at GS the dudes use the dragon encounters to back up their pleas for pre orders.

Ya for just a statue and artbook, and the artwork for the Elder Scrolls games has never really wowed me, I'll pass, that is way too much. I'll be getting the game the day it comes out, but I'll just get the game.

No that's generally how most casual gamers are.

That limited edition is so full of itself. Pass.

I'll stick with the regular edition if I even get it at release at all. I kind of want to wait until I get a new PC eventually rather than play it on consoles.
But chu left CAG after the doll thing.
I hate you.

I haven't even heard of half those games. It's about time they put together the PSN equivalent of summer of arcade though.

The elder scrolls art style has always been kind of meh.
