World Series of Poker 2008: Battle for the Bracelets

Hmmm, let's see. During the week, I pretty much stop playing at 1am (central)

But on Friday and Saturday, (if I'm not out of the house or inebriated) I can play until 3/4am.

But, SynGamer, I agree, Fri/Sat would be good. But still, if anyone wants to have a quick game tonight just to cool off from the COD-SANITY, I'll be down for it!

And Matt, when I find a good deal on a vision cam, I will definitely pick one up! I wish a normal PC webcam would work, man!
 
I wasn't suggesting that we have any sort of "CAG Poker Night" be after COD4, but rather that the COD4 regulars and anyone else who wanted to join could play at that time after COD4 matches. We can definitely set a different night for regular play.

I just figured that everyone would be wrapping up on COD4 then. It seems that whenever I get on Thursday nights after Lost, the party is dispersing. But there's no more Lost for 10 months after tonight *commits suicide* so I'll have Thursdays free for some CAG fraggin'. Well, after 8 Pacific, anyway, so a few hours earlier.

Any suggestions on a night for poker? I'm at the gym till 9-9:30 Pacific on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and not rally available till 10-ish since I eat and shower afterwards. Saturdays and Sundays I do my workouts in the afternoon.

Man, it really sucks that so many of you are on Eastern time. Sundays or Mondays, maybe?

EDIT: Simon, a good deal on the vision cam is whatever price you have to pay for it. You get to stare at my face as long as your little heart desires! ;)

I really need to get some sleep...

I'll probably snag up the "Year of Live + Vision Camera" package soon since my Live subscription should be running out at some point.

Looking over the CAG 360 Gaming Nights listing, it seems Monday, Friday, Saturday, & Sunday are available. I vote for Friday at 10 EST / 7 PST.

I can say with certainty that I will almost never be available on Fridays until much later than that. Fridays and Saturdays are the main nights I actually go out.

The price I paid for wanting a game at release I guess. Plus it was hard to find at that time, only BB had it.
 
I picked this game up on Sunday. Rather fun playing online. I haven't tackled the offline portion of the game yet, but I may get around to that here soon to get some achievement points.

On a related note, I did break out the camera to put my face into the game. Minor problem with that is the fact that I wear glasses. I can't see anything without them. So I kept them on during the whole process.

To sum it up: I look like an albino Horace Grant.

Anyways, I'd love to take part in any little tourney or game when and if anything gets set up with the rest of you guys. If anyone would like a copy of the game and can't find it anywhere, hit me with a PM and I'll swing by CC on the way home to pick a copy up. $13 PayPal is all I ask.
 
Well, if we want this tourney to actually happen, it's probably best we start a list of who will participate. I suggest everyone PM Matt since he's the OP and can update the first post with a list of those in the tourney, if he doesn't mind.

The other item is prize(s). We could take the cheap way out and have everyone chip in $ ($1-$5?) via PayPal (or mail) and offer that up to the winner. Or we could have someone(s) just foot the prize themselves if they are feeling generous. We could also have someone(s) put a game up as the prize if they wanted too, something worthwhile.
 
I got this on Sunday, too. I haven't taken it online yet but I might if some CAGs play just to play with someone I know.

EDIT: Well, guess not. Anyway, to elaborate more on the poker night suggestions- Fridayw ould be bad for a variety of reasons.

I won't be the only one who's unavailable. Many people go out on Friday nights, and the people who play real poker often do so on that night.

I still hope Sunday would likely be good for most.
 
Sunday is great for me as well! Anytime after........10p.m. Central is cool for me!

And about the betting/prizes, I think we should play together a week or two and get into the swing of things first. But I am interested in the $$$!
 
Awesome. Sundays, I am usually available all day save for the 2 hours I spend at the gym in the afternoon. I do sometimes watch online streams of pro wrestling pay per views, but those start at 5 Pacific anyway.

I didn't know about the CC deal, but just got matched for it on GooZex. Count me in for CAG Poker Nights once i get this thing. Any excuse to use the vision cam that collects dust and overheats while sitting on top of the tivo.

It's trading for 600 points on the zex, so all you cags raid the CC'S and do your dirt.

It's pretty cool, man. I'm sexy as hellllll and I was properly able to capture the essence of my hotness in the game.

The character creation is a bit limited, but then again, I've been spoiled by the Mass Effect creator.

As for Goozex, I'd cancel any trades on there for this game. 600 Points is $30.

Awesome! I remember playing in the NHL 2K6 league with you. I know you're from Chicago and used to watch wrestling (not necessarily at that time, but back in the day). It'd definitely be cool to play with you.

Unfortunately if the CAG poker night is Sunday I will almost never get to play with you as that is the night my podcast is recorded and that usually takes from 7 p.m. central to 11 p.m./midnight central.

The show airs from 5-8 Pacific, so I would not be on till 10 central. There's *usually* only one per month. I don't expect the rest of you to wait for me to start the poker game, mind you, but I will be on later. Any chance you could join us then?

Well I normally work 12-5 on Sunday's and then I have a 2-hour window to eat and get anything else I need done before I start doing the podcast at 7. The earliest I've been done is 11, and usually don't get done till close to midnight.

I'll just have to join random games during the week but I would not be able to do the official league/tourney you're planning. You can't change the day for just me since no one else has a problem with Sunday's.
 
If we're hoping to get in a game this week, we need a designated time. Are we up for tonight (Sunday) at 10pm EST?

I apologize to everyone. I am a chronic insomniac. I have already gone one night this week without sleeping, and I didn't get to sleep till almost noon Pacific time. I had planned to be on after the WWE show ended at 8 Pacific, but I just woke up. I didn't even get to see the PPV live.

Hopefully I will get some sleep and be ready for next week, and there's no PPV then, either. Maybe we can play some tomorrow?

Agreed, it was definitely a fun time, even with a small amount of CAGs (6), so I imagine it'll be pretty awesome if we get a large tournament going (up to 21 max), and hopefully get some prizes involved.

Great games tonight, cant believe there were so many comeback victories thanks to the river. Looking forward to next week's game. Hopefully we'll get a lot more people next time.
