X-Men 3: The Last Stand Update Thread
Who was that dikey looking chick, pointy asian guy, and fast black chick?
The fast chick was Callisto (I actually went through the whole movie thinking she was Psylocke because I took a piss during the scene where the recruit her).

There is one bright spot in this terrible mess - Beast. Kelsey Grammer does an awesome job, and he really steals the movie, IMO.

Although I knew from the trailers that the Professor was going to die, I was expecting that towards the end, not in the middle of the movie, nor at the hands (or mind) of Jean. I find it hard to believe Magneto couldn't throw the kitchen sink at her to stop her from blowing the professor up. His death really put a tear to my eyes. I really thought that Patrick Steward really enjoyed playing his Xmen character throughout the years, for him to just die like just like that was really not good. Not much character development with the new people :( The cure was a drug, and a bald boy? Angels backstory in the beginning was just that, an intro..but other than saving his father, he had no real imporatence to the story. I've read somewhere that Logan's skin was going to be pulled off completely, but all I saw was his skin burning off and quickly healing. I was truely expecting logan's entire face to be burned off by the time he got to Jean for the kill, that would have been a cool effect, but then as soon as he killed her the skin would finally grow back ... oh well...nothing i can do now. Scott's death was a cop out :( I guess the actor who played him really didn't want to play him anymore or the director hated him in the first place.

I guess a lot happened in a few months since the last xmen if beast became a trusted member of the president's cabinet. Im glad Rouge took the cure, now she can lead a normal life. So, did the professor jump body's?

Too bad the Sentials weren't part of the government's solution to the Magneto problem :(

Moria McTaggart (Xavier's old lover and the woman in the video while he was teaching a class) is checking on a cancer patient (the one that was in the previously mentioned video). Out of nowhere, the cancer patient whispers her name in Xavier's voice, and she says, "Charles?"

K I didn't miss out much after waiting for the end credits. I expected something like this would happen especially at the end of the movie itself.
i have the feeling that Superman will need to save the summer :|
It's definatly going to save the summer if kevin spacey is in it.

The first preview I saw of superman made me think "meh". Then I saw another preview that tagged along with MI3 and seeing spacey doing lex gave me goose bumps. This movie may not live up to everything it should but its gonna be good IMO.

I wish I could have been saddened by Xavier's "death," but all it did was make me angry. What a hunk of shit. Everyone went out like a bitch, and Wolverine saves the day once again. Yawn.

Wow X3 was a huge piece of crap!
I guess everyone had the same problems as me.
Anyone stay till after the credits? It was a pretty lame surprise.

This movie had little development. It all went to fast. Most of the characters had no point. The movie should of been called Wolverine and Storm: Mutant Brawl. I wish I waited to see this on one of those movie channels.
Movie blew.
Damnit.
You, more than anyone I knew, went into it almost wanting it to suck though. Of course you were disappointed, you wanted to be.

I am so disappointed. The plot was awful, the dialouge was poorly written and very cheesy, and all the new mutants either just flat out sucked or had no impact on the story. I was expecting so much more, and what makes it so much fucking worse is that the film reel cut an integral scene in the movie where Bobby and Pyro are fighting (don't want to spoil anything). I got a free movie pass, but that just ruined the whole experience for me. fuck Brett Ratner.

The movie was terrible. Poorly written, terrible dialog, trailed too far from the comics, Halle Berry sucks, and too many subplots jumbled together. I want my money back.

WHAT THE fuck! This was literaly the worst movie i have ever seen in the superhero category. fuck everyone invovled in making it. If you have even a shread of respect for the real storyline you will hate this movie.

For those who havent seen it i will give you one super small small small spoiler but will prove how much this movie didnt make sense.

Juggs..........loses his MUTANT power during the film. Thats right...juggs the guy who isnt a mutant to begin with...somehow loses his mutant power.

fuck this movie.

If that is to much of a spoiler i will gladly edit it...but i think its safe. Its not vital to anything in the story.

Okay, I don't mind if a "comic book movie" strays too far from orginal story, but this was ridiculus. If you're a fan of the comics, you'll hate it, bottom line. Plus their was no central villian. Pheniox, Magneto, and The Cure all shared the spotlight, but none of them was a cut and dry villian, which is what this movie need also. My wife liked it, but she never knew who the Latex-men where before the the first movie.

One more thing, the spiky asian guy was Quill. He has the mutant power to grow spikes from his hair. LAME.

This is what would have made the movie better:

Apocalypse_Bust.jpg

Real quick.........BIG BIG BIG BIG UPS to Hugh Jackman.

He was the ONLY one in the movie that seemed like he even cared about the part.

Hugh Jackman 9/10 everything else in the moive -23324342/10

Also....with the sheer millions of mutants they had to choose from they choose.

C-los...He is not really even part of the x-men more stop in beat some shit up and leave.

Kitty Pryde....Who the fuck cares about kitty pryde.

Iceman.....Iceman dissapointed me the 2nd most (juggs being the first) Booby is suppose to be a wiseass ladies man who is always in trouble. I kept waiting for him to say something funny but noooooo stonecold bobby is all i got.

Logan....to be expected
Storm......to be expected....garbage ass lines...lame acting.

Beast......meh,,,,eh.....oh...ah..i dont know about this one.. not great...not bad just blah.

I feel dirty after watching that movie.

Yep, I haven't even seen the movie and I agree.

No sentinels, no badass mutants other then Magneto... I hate when they try to make comic book heroes too based in the real world. I'd have rather they just went apeshit and had a ton of sentinels, or maybe Apocalypse, or maybe a JJuggernaut who dosen't look retarded.

Wasn't Magneto in the second movie too? I guess I just got sick of him being in EVERY movie so far... he's cool, but not THAT cool. Maybe if he went to Asteroid M and made the acolytes or something awesome like that.

You left out Angel, Another guy that was hyped up just to be in the movie for 2 minutes.

Ever since I first saw Angel I started telling everyone that Apocalypse was going to be in the end of the movie. Even though he wasn't, he should have been, and the guy who played Trask should have been him.

I'll say it once again: Beast is the best part of the movie.

This movie blew. Do yourself a favor and don't go and see it. Absolutely no direction. I have lost what little respect I had for Brett Ratner. They need to do a major overhaul and pull a Dalas on this movie and call X3 a dream, a bad one at that.

Wrong, Beast was mediocre. The best part was Juggs is line " Don't you know who I am? I'm the Juggernaut, bitch!"

Oh my god, if I could have just had a tape recorder in the theatre to record how everyone just exploded with laughter.

"Mediocre" is good enough in that movie.

This dude I know was like "man, i have a feeling that the new superman movie is going to suck. Smallville is just so good i dont see how a movie could out-do it".

I then ripped his genitals off with my bare hands.

I didn't, but I really wanted to. That is a horrible statement to make.

I'm not going to leave my full impressions because I agree with what a lot of you have already mentioned. Instead, I'll only highlight a few points that I feel have not been stressed yet.

First of all, what is the deal with the sentinel fight in the danger room? Am I the only one who thought the damn thing looked like an automobile looking down Wolverine, Colossus, Storm and Kitty? They should have definitely gone with some red leds or something instead of those fucking headlights.

There was too much wire-fu. Why can't they make the characters soaring through the air look natural, like in Superman Returns?

Beast was done pretty well. I'm not saying he looked great, but I don't think they could have done any better. His fighting clips are the best X3 has to offer, IMO.

That's it for now...

Actually 2 minutes and 26 seconds.

This movie wasn't made for the X-Men fan of the 90's. It was made to make a quick buck off everyone dumb enough to watch it, like me.

One more thing to make the movie better:

I wonder who's bright idea it was to add that?

I wonder if they gave the original creator of that movie any credit in blatantly ripping off his work?

Are you taling about the crappy voice over work of Juggernaut in the X-Men 90's cartoon show that showed up a couple months ago?

is my friend an idiot or am I just mistaken?
I keep telling him Juggernaut isn't a mutant, but he keeps saying that he is because when he tried to get the kid when kitty had him he didn't go through the wall because the kid stopped his power. Can someone please tell me what he is?

A big guy with magical powers.

He is a mutant in the movie, but in the original stories and canon he is not a mutant, he just finds a gem that gives him power.

You know I was worried a director who basically only worked on chris tucker movies was going to fuck the entire future of the series up. All I can say is I see why singer left while arguing with the studio. They took multiple storylines and through them together. If they wanted to skip Phoenix they could have easily let Phoenix slide to a 4th movie and focused on the cure. At least then they would have a reason to leave Jean aside and have Cyclops go off on his own as he did in the comics.

I like to forget this movie was even made.
Damn it. I wan tto see this movie but now I'm afraid it sucks (according to the lovely reviews posted).
If you read all the post in here im sure you've been spoiled enough. Its actually better to save your money and rent it when it comes out.

You forget that this is the internet- a place for everyone to gripe and complain freely. People who hate something are much more likely to post about it than people who enjoy it. There could be three times the amount of people who liked it, but you'd never know.

The theatre I went to, only 2 people really got that joke. One of them being me.

AS a generic action movie, it was awesome, but as an X-Men movie, way too sub-par, due almost entirely to the decimateion of the mythos.

I still enjoyed it though, but a lot of it did bug me.

It's bad that the single thing that bugged me the most was how misrepresented Psylocke was. I mean, yeah she has the whole meld into shadow things, but that's not her main power at all. I came out of the theater feeling sorry for people who will only know Psylocke through the movie, cause she's always been one of my favorite characters in the X-Men universe.
