Yeah, Jojo is gone, I just checked. Sucks that it's gone, sucks that I still can't find anyone to play it with, and it sucks that it made it to XBL and Street Fighter Alpha 2 or EX didn't.

Also, all this Destiny apologizing is ridiculous. I'm seriously starting to have low expectations for that game.

Anyways..... I'm still 100% on the fence about Borderlands 2, Seeing how if i buy the season pass and all the aftermarket DLC, it'll cost me around $30 space dollars. I am totally interested in playing it finally, BUT it'll prob get tossed into my backlog anyways. I see that i can buy the GOTY on Amazon for $30 new (or just do the Pre-owned rent/download dlc from gamestop thing thatll save me $15, then buy all the on sale aftermarket DLC) BUT i prefer Disc copies of GOTY titles to keep on my shelf. I dunno. Is it worth $30 for Everything digital only? Or around $40 to own the disc and just buy up the extra DLC? BTW.... fuck Borderlands 2 for releasing more DLC AFTER the GOTY edition, thus making this an impossible morale decision for me.

I Just started and finished all six seasons of Parks and Rec in about a month. It's a fun show, it also has one of the best gags ever with the bird work whistle.

Yup, seen it. Though I got to admit, it's weird seeing Chris Pratt as Star Lord after seeing him in Parks and Rec before he stopped drinking all that beer as he said in the show.

As far as i understand it refers to DLC for GwG, not Deals with Gold. Specifically the current GwG.

I've played close to 100 games and have seen a couple face masks, roughing the QB, false start a lot, offsides, and one time CPU got unnecessary roughness for hitting me while I was out of bounds.

Way less than previous years. No PI yet. Most of the time when I hit the QB late, I don't get a penalty for it. There have also been a few tackles that were clearly facemask that didn't get called.

Took about 40-50 games to see the first penalty. I like how rare they are now. Keeps the game going smoothly.

Both are pretty much the same. I think 2 had more content in the base game and has a memorable story. I also think 2 is more likely to be free in the future because it has more DLC.

Get the first game. It's cheap, and even cheaper if you add on the DLC somehow.

1 sets up the story for 2. All of the main characters from the first game are in the second, including all of the DLC characters. If you have to choose between one, choose the first game. You will get more out of the second game's story if you play the first game first, not to mention that the first game is more adventurous and fun. 2 has some poor level designs and recycles its enemies a lot. It's also very hard to find special weapons in the second, and you'll likely have to play through it two or three times just to get something good.

 
I'm gonna be picking up Destiny next week but some of the comments around the interwebz has be second guessing my decision. A lot of people are saying it's not worth $60 ($70 in my case because it's Canada). 

Anyone who has the game, would you kindly post your honest (hopefully unbiased) views on the game? I'd greatly appreciate it. 

 
My initial impressions weren't very good since I had to replay what I did in the beta and it was very boring doing it all again. I think that's one issue I had right off the bat because I can't imagine doing it all again for a new character just because it's so boring to go back relevel since literally nothing changes except the very mild differentiation between abilities you get.

The story mode has been pretty fun but the story is horrible and the voice acting is equally as bad. The shooting mechanics and driving are okay but aren't anything special by any means. It feels like the game will basically hinge on you playing Strike Zones with friends since the story content dries up fast.

Unfortunately on the other side of the coin the multiplayer is pretty terrible. Don't get me wrong I've been playing it a lot but that's more associated with the fact that's it a new game and I feel like I should put some time into it. The multiplayer is really unbalanced because max level people are matched with new people and they'll completely overpower you because they have newer better spells, guns and talents. The maps aren't bad for the most part although one of them is absolutely unbearable to play on. The biggest problem I have with multiplayer however is the guns. In multiplayer most of the guns are one shot kill which is horribly frustrating and annoying to play against and it gets old VERY quickly.

Honestly I regret getting it at launch (Especially since I got digital and can't trade it). It's a fun game but not exactly a great game. I haven't experienced all of the content yet but I'd give it a 6/10 from what I've played.

Really, really fun! The movement and shooting just feels amazing. The loot and progression is addicting. When I'm not playing it, I want to be playing it. In terms of just moment-to-moment gameplay it's one the best FPS games I've ever played. It looks great too, even on 360, great vistas and you can tell a lot of care went into designing the levels.

Biggest con: The story is minimal, seems like a waste of the awesome setting and lore. The voice acting is mediocre across the board but Peter Dinklage is a particular embarrassment. It just feels like they could have put in a LOT more effort on that front.

Definitely try to play it with friends if possible. It's much more fun with a team than solo, and the grouping can be awkward. For story missions, there's no matchmaking, you have to actually find other players nearby and manually invite them to your team and just hope that someone is around who feels like joining you.

 
I'm going to keep pretending that the real game isn't super fun like the beta at all so I don't get pressured into buying it too soon. Think I had about 15 friends online and they were all playing it.

I'll be trading it in LONG before the values drop. I was bored shitless the first night and it hasn't improved. 4 MP modes - none of which are anything to write home about. Building models that look EXACTLY the same for each mission. Just not worth the money. SOOOO glad I did not go digital for this one.

Are you any good at FPS...? FWIW I'm not, and thus had a more enjoyable time with BL1. In the first game it was standard almost PS2 era enemy behavior but they upped the enemy AI a notch or two (they dive and roll around, try to take cover, et al) and my lackluster skills made playing solo a less-than enjoyable experience.

..That being said, I still picked up BL2 GOTY when it was cheap a while back (and the HH packs, that are not included) and someday plan to slog my way through it.

Damn opinions are all over the board for this. I don't know if I should bite on the 30% trade EB has going on and get this or just wait

 
Glad I decided to wait, cause Destiny is getting hammered right now by some people. I remember when playing the beta I felt it was good, but just didn't have that spark that Borderlands 1 had that made you just keep coming back for more.

I'll wait til the first big discount.

Got it for $40 here for a digital code and I feel somewhat disappointed.  It's not a bad game, but it's really best to play with friends.  The game is pretty lifeless so far but the story seems to finally get better(just reached the Riff, purple planet).  Generic is almost every way possible.  It has replayability since there is really no story at all and the overall length of the missions, and getting new gear/weapons is pretty cool but I'm sure that will get old fast.

The MP is hit and miss for me.  Some matches it feels really unbalanced and games are truly bore fests, especially during 3v3 gameplay.  Other matches, I'm having as much fun as I did in the beta since it's feel evenly matched across the board.  Tons of 1 hit kills and if I would guess, the melee attack is my highest in terms of how I get my kills.  Everything just seems overpowered and really no balancing at all, just a ton of crap and cool effects to appease games.

Overall, 6/10 as well.  I shouldn't feel like its a chore to play a video game and this is what it's been so far.

 
Surprisingly, all the Twitch streamers are loving it so far.  Everything just seems average across the board.

 
It wins the most generic game of the year award. I hit max lvl which is 20 but now i gotta grind to get strange coins and vanguard marks to buy new guns and armor, its an mmo alright. If you dont like grinding then u wont be playing Destiny for long. The last story mission is so weak.
