Brothers is very good, I'd give it an 8.5 or 9 out of 10. Bought it for $5 I think during Christmas 2013. Not terribly interested in Sniper, but looks like the achievements are relatively easy, so may give it a shot. Been super stoked about IDARB since they announced it a month or so ago, and that hasn't changed.

If the achievements are like 3, then they'll be tough. You can be spotted super easy in 3 and on the hardest difficulty dying once starts you back over. Some missions can take 1-2 hours even if you know what you're doing. That said I am anxious to try it!!
 
sniper elite 2 was an awesome game. It has an old school ps2 feel to it with lots of ways to carry out missions, some parts can be pretty difficult but it's a really fun game.

I still gotta grab witcher 2 before the month is over. The third game looks amazing

 
Happy to get Sniper Elite.  I've never played any of them, but was always a little curious.  I don't really care about Brothers since I tried it on the PS last year and lost interest really quick, but any month where I get one decent game is a good month in my opinion.  Now just waiting to see what PS+ is giving me.

I never played any of the sniper games so I may actually power on my 360 :) Finished Brothers in like 3 hours and it was lotsa fun. I'd have to redo it for the achievements but I'm lazy.

 
Brothers is an amazing an emotional experience that unfortunately is very short. But while the experience was short I'd easily give it a top 10 nod for GOTY when it was out. I've heard good thinks about Sniper Elite.

Is the online netcode better in #IDARB? Because IGN and others mentioned the online netcode was iffy, I hope it's up to snuff when It's fully released.

Well it's... stuff.

 
I couldn't get into Brothers. The story might be good, but it's the controls that were too frustrating for me to continue.

I don't remember if I own Sniper Elite V2 or not. Either way I'll check it out; maybe the DLC will go on sale.

 
I thought Sniper Elite V2 was much less open than SE3, but I haven't played it in awhile so I could be wrong.

I'm one of the few people that hated Brothers.
They talk like Sims, had to replay an early level multiple times to get an achievement to pop, had to replay a different level four times because of a game breaking glitch that happens at the very end of the level, cliché story, not fun gameplay, etc. 
 Even if you don't like it either, stick with it for easy achievements. You don't even have to complete the game to get them all. When that last one popped I was so happy to delete the game. The game can be finished in under 3 hours.

 
Sniper V2 is less open than 3 but IMHO, V2 is better than 3 in every way

Better setting, better gameplay, somehow has a better killcam even though they claim to have added more layers in 3

Nothing in 3 is memorable. I think the constant score system adds lag/slowdown to the game as well, plus several glitches.

Only played the 360 version though. Want to give the One version a shot

Brothers is a good pick for a free game. It's not the best thing ever but it's definitely interesting and different. Also short and extremely easy achievements.

 
Brothers was really enjoyable, and did not require a huge time investment. I wish they had picked a game I didn't have already though.

 
Next month is crap for me at least on the :360: side. Have brothers on :ps3: so no need in downloading that again, beat Sniper Elite already and really isn't worth any kind of replay for me. We knew about #IDARB for months now, can't really be excited for that when they were passing codes for it out like candy on twitter months ago.

I am still just sour that we only get one X1 game a month. Having a repeat at first was presumably a hiccup but the fact that is how it simply is now really pisses me off.

Nothing in 3 is memorable. I think the constant score system adds lag/slowdown to the game as well, plus several glitches.

Only played the 360 version though. Want to give the One version a shot

3 runs well on X1. Played through the game in co-op with no big problems. I agree that in 3 you don't feel like a sniper. That was my biggest problem with the game.

Sniper looks like alot of fun too

and it really does remind me of those classic PS2 era action games

Well I own Brothers (beat it on both 360 and PS3) and I played my Dad's copy of Sniper Elite V2 a lot so I am good on that. Looks like I can wait Feb out and hold onto my 3 month Gold cards for now. I have enough 2 week cards to tide me over.

Edit: Does Far Cry 4 do anything stupid that requires Gold for the Single player portion? I know Unity had chests that would not open.

I think I'm only missing one achievement on IDARB so hopefully I can complete that once it's actually out and can find matches easier.

I've almost bought Brothers many times but never did so now I finally get to play through it. Looks like a good month! Was hopeing for 2 on Xbox one. Still gonna be a while til we start to see 2 I guess.

I don't think we're going to see them add two games for Xbox One in a month unless they reach a certain point where there are a lot of downloadable games to choose from.

 
Brothers is a fun game that rewards you for exploring its fairly linear world. There was only one part in the second act of the story where it felt forced and cliche. I think I bought it when it first came out, but either way I'm happy with the money I spent on it. The achievements are all easy to get, too, for those wondering.

I've beaten it twice, but now I'm considering giving it another run through with everyone talking about it now.

I thought one of the two XB one games rolled over to the next month's GWG. I figured D4 would be the one for this month that will roll over to February as well. Has that changed and it's stricyly #IDARB only next month?

Not confirmed yet, but expected. When he announced the January games, Major Nelson didn't say that Worms would carry over, but it did. Just have to wait for the first to know for sure.

 
Still the same XBL status as last night except now I can't get connected to XBL at all.

Start playing a game and then it signs me out of my profile and won't sign me back in?  This system gets so stupid when it loses XBL connection. :wall:

Edit- And the error code doesn't even correspond to anything Xbox related in their system, it leads to a Windows XP thing? :roll:

I'm thinking about getting Dragon Age: Inquisition but I have a feeling this game will be cheaper for a physical copy soon. Decisions decisions...

Yes, it is free because you would pay for xbox live to play online even if MS didn't offer free games, like we all have for years until gwg started. The free games are just a bonus and people expect way too much imo.

But it isn't a bonus, at least not anymore. It's one of the key features they tout about Gold now and one of the things they always immediately point out during any press conference.

Live got a $10 increase a few years back and is $60 now and really that pay increase was for NOTHING since they just made it 60 with no explanation why.
