So after signing up for the free 3 months of Hulu Plus via gold on XBO, I can't see why anyone would pay for it if they had Netflix or Amazon Prime already.  It's seems like mostly stuff that's on one or both of those, with the added benefit of ads.

Yeah, there's a few things if you want to catch up on full shows but the main reason is to have it on consoles/set top boxes/mobile devices. I've always been perfectly fine with the free version as a way to just watch my shows after I miss them on TV.

Most of the stuff that isn't on Netflix, can only be streamed from PC or only has the last 6 episodes. I did not like it at all.

Which is what you're paying to unlock. The free service is basically to let you catch up on recently aired episodes from the networks that have a stake in it on your PC.

WWE shows (Raw, Smackdown, and Superstars) are exclusive to Hulu Plus and Main Event/NXT, normally WWE Network exclusive, is also on Hulu Plus.

It's worth it for Criterion channel alone if you are into foreign classic cinema. I love me some classic Samurai movies, and there's literally dozens of the best ones on there. Lots of good classics on there (both foreign and domestic) that are only availalbe through Hulu because of Criterion channel. I think there's something like 800 movies via Criterion.

If someone gets Hulu+ and doesn't know about Criterion channel, I honestly have no idea what they are doing because the rest of the selection seems completely terrible compared to Amazon Prime or Netflix. Maybe for the ad supported TV shows, but aren't some of those available to regular Hulu without paying for Hulu+?

I never pay for hulu, like every two weeks they send me an email that offers me another free two week trial. Sometimes the trial doesnt work because the system realizes that I recently used a trial so I just email them about it and they send me a working code. The fact that that I can watch most of the stuff I want on there for free really doesn't encourage me to pay for it on a long term basis. Netflix is much better but it takes them too long to get new content. I have amazon prime but I don't really care for their selection.

 
I wasn't the slightest bit interested in Syndicate(2012), writing it off as another classic-tactictal-game-turned-generic-shooter (see XCOM Declassified). Then I noticed it's developed by Starbreeze, whose work I tend to enjoy. Hm...

I'm going to replay with all DLC, but I vowed to play the game vanilla at launch because I felt like the way the explained it being optional it made me think it was more like UNRATED EDITION DVD scenes. So I'm looking forward to it, but it seems like the game was built to not have it and it was woven in strangely as a curveball.

 
For a second I had a senior moment and thought Contrast was Outlast and I was excited when I saw it on sale with Gold. However, I remembered what Contrast was about a minute later. I know as soon as I purchase Outlast, it will be GWG and I cannot pull the trigger. I am shocked it is not even being discounted when it was for free for PS+ on day one.

It's a good fighting game, with great art and music (the composer is the same from Castlevania: symphony of the night, though this time it's mostly jazz). Download the demo and see if you like it. It also has a nice tutorial, and three free characters.

 
Shadow Broker was pretty cool dlc and added some good back story for some characters.

What is citadel about. Only thing I havent played but also no longer own 3. I will eventually replay they all again as a new character.

Not exactly. New episodes of Superstars air weekly on WWE Network as well. Raw and Smackdown episodes are added to WWE Network after 4 weeks, and they're full episodes. Hulu Plus only airs edited 90 minute versions of Raw. NXT updates weekly and is totally free to watch on Hulu; no need for Plus.

If you're curious about the events between 2 and 3, what happened with Liara, or haven't played 3 then I'd say yes. Otherwise if you don't fit any of those 3, then I'd skip it.

Super OT: Being 4 weeks behind in a storyline heading into a PPV probably isn't the best lol, well assuming you even care for these shitty arcs haha.

Back OT: I really hope Outlast is the GWG game this month on XBone. I didn't buy it on Day 1 for that reason lol, I want to buy D4, but I could see that one being free or on sale in 3 months or so

Citadel, IMO is the greatest DLC ever created for any game ever if you're a fan of the universe and the characters. It's pure fan service.

Well it goes up day after for Hulu & 90 minutes of Raw is generally better than the 3 hours minus commercials from its cable broadcast.
 
Outlast won't be a GwG. No way M$ would even consider the backlash that it would cause when kids start playing a game that has naked guys, a scientist that follows the "Fingers. Then Balls. Then tongue", along with the various other controversial things in the game.
 
Up to the parents to set up the console so the kids can't play it. They have already had T and M rated games be GWG. I'm sure Saint's Row 3 is at least 100x more offensive than Outlast.

LOL, I see that you are waiting for it to go on sale, aren't you? I bought it once upon a time when I got 800msp back when buying X games in a month (back when the rewards program was good imo). That and Double Dragon Neon. With the credits back, I took it like they were actually on sale O:)

I haven't even looked at the game. I just grab free DLC so I have it on my account in case it gets delisted.

Shadow broker is really one of the best DLCs of any game.


It ranks close to things like Minerva's Den etc.

I finally get to finish the trilogy in its completeness. I couldn't take spending that much on the DLC even though I've love the series. This way it justifies another play through.

Side note: now that the app for preparation is shut down (I think I heard that) is it much easier to hit 100%? Or is there another easy way?
 
Holy effing shit mass effect 3 dlc, that only took a couple years.... Oh well take my money anyway
