Anyone else get Transformers Devastation? I'm only on Chapter 2 but I feel like I'm getting bored already. Its the same combo over and over. Dodge, Focus, Combo, rinse and repeat 4688335676 times. Its just so monotonous. I may end up getting rid of it when BB has another 30% trade in deal. Goddamit.

I just got it today and I'm also in Ch.2 and already bored out of my mind. It's a shame because I was looking forward to this game.

Its like a cartoon come to life and the combat is very fluid, but my god there is like zero variation to the combat system. And you're pretty much looking at the same environment 90% of the same. So depressing, I was so pumped for it but its just getting old really fast.

I got it, played for a couple hours the other night, but haven't had a chance to play more. Hopefully this weekend. I've never been good with fighters / brawlers, never got the hang of the combo combat in the Arkham games, and this one isn't much different. Briefly looked at the control layout, then tried going at it on Commander difficulty out the gate - big mistake. Couldn't get past the first area. Dropped down to the middle difficulty. Wasn't until a few areas into the game when a tip finally popped up that the flow / dodge was the same button as transforming, just used at the proper time. Ok. When I was failing on Commander, I wondered if there was a block or dodge.

I saw there was a complete playthrough on YouTube that clocked in at a bit over 4 hours. I'm guessing that was on easy and didn't bother doing any exploring. I'll be spending quite a lot more time with it. Some of those boss achievements will be a bitch.

damn ive been playing for 10 minutes and was already afraid of this! good thing i got it through gamefly. They have a returning members $1 deal right now if anyones interested. If I have an open spot in my queue when big releases hit i usually get it, kinda nice but I gotta wait 4 days to get to me.

I rented transformers from Redbox. I may be a little bit further than you guys but they do a few things to try to mix things up a little bit as the game ptogresses, but the combat is really basic and repetitive for the most part
 
If it is like their other games, there should be more combos available as the game progresses. Of course you could stick with the same combo over and over if you want, but that would be boring.

 
So I'm getting the vibe that the Transformers game is Korra-quality, but without the reasonable price tag.

I did that for Catalyst, which is why I was asking about how to unshare worlds but I assume not everyone is not as nice as me and leaves them up.

There's an achievement for beating the Chieftain the first time, an achievement for beating the whole thing without dying, an achievement for beating the chieftain with Karlsnor and an achievement for beating the whole thing with 4 of the heroes without dying.

I'm on Chapter 3 now and I have yet to be introduced to a new combo. You can upgrade each Autobots attributes and weapons, but you'll always be doing several variations of the same Light/Heavy/RB/LT combo you learned from Chapter 1 for the majority of the game.
 
It might have been a glitch, I don't know. Unstoppable just unlocked when I beat the goblin boss without dying up until then. I also have 25% to four of a kind. This was before the update though.

Probably a glitch. I got it just now after I beat the 2 simultaneous Goblin bosses. That ending was real anticlimactic, even more so because they decided not to bother with future episodes.

Late to the topic, but I've owned a Lumia 521, 925, and 640. Windows Phones shouldn't be as ignored as they are, but hey, as long as Microsoft keeps making them, I'll keep buying them. The OS runs well even on low specs, and its interface is incredibly intuitive. The only real knock is the lack of apps and app support, which should disappear once Win10 Mobile goes live. Anyway, count me among the dozen and a half folks who own a Windows phone.

In other news, I played a couple matches on Battlefront's beta last night, and I always forget how bad people are at shooters until these kinds of open betas come around. They run blindly to objectives and completely forget to look out for enemies. If anyone used a mic these days I would probably hear them whining about hackers, when their real problem is a lack of situational awareness. Hooray for modern FPS games.

Not that anyone cares but I'll give a quick update on the 3 XBLA games that I bought for $5 each since this week's sales sucked.

I started with Aces of the Galaxy which reminded me of Star Fox or Panzer Dragoon but isn't as full featured as either of those games. It's pretty fun although the story mode mainly consists of one static screen before jumping right into the action. The shooting is relatively decent. I enjoyed it.

Space Giraffe is basically an upgraded version of Tempest 3000 with psychedelic graphics. It is extremely easy to me and feels a bit dated after playing TXK which is made by the same guy.

And Switchball is a Super Monkey Ball clone with more of a focus on puzzle solving than just rolling your marble to the goal. The physics puzzles are relatively challenging and I feel like I got my money's worth out of it.

I'm thinking about using up the last of my Golden Crisp codes this weekend to buy some more cheap XBLA games along with the Taito games that I've been wanting that have never gone on sale. One of the other $5 games that I've been wanting is Golf: Tee It Up. Can anyone recommend anything else on XBLA that's dirt cheap? I'm not interested in XBLIG stuff since the announcement was made that those will eventually go away.

Agreed. RE4 was a really half-assed port (to PC as well), and REmake wasn't much better. I imagine they're putting more work into RE0 because it was never really that popular to begin with and they know they can't just coast on a bare bones re-release if they want sales to rival REmake's.

My first smartphone has been a Windows Phone and though it took a lot of adjusting to get used to the UI, that and the lack of app support are really my only complaints. If you ever get one, expect to do some Googling about how to do certain shit. I hope W10 is a little more straightforward.


Also, having Bing as the default search engine is great for Bing Rewards, but I really prefer Google as a search engine.

Everything else is great (especially the camera), besides Skype's occasional delay in receiving messages. Really, really hope my phone will be able to upgrade to W10.

In other news, the MP finally worked for me on the Battlefront Beta today. As for what I think of it, It's alright, but they really should have included more than one map for the TDM mode. The R6 beta did a better job with that.

I think I might be among those who will pass for now on it because the novelty/hype of a new Battlefront game is starting to wear off now that I'm playing it and the things wrong with the game are easier to see. Kind of the opposite of the R6 beta, as that beta made me far more interested in the game, but also gave me enough of a fill of it to not need to buy it anytime soon.

Ok, so there is definitely something going on with my XBox. The wireless adapter "shuts down" by itself and it wont come up. Dont know if its just the hardware giving up or the NXE messing it up.

I powered it down and left it for 1/2 hr; it came back up when switched it on. Only, this morning when powered it on again, its back to being messed up.

Did a factory reset, went through the prompts and when I logged in, it was NXE. I was hoping I'd log into the regular interface since I did a reset. So, right now its powered down and disconnected.

Not sure whats going on withit. Anyone have had issues like this before? I'm going to hit the inter webs and see what I can find out, appreciate any inputs fellow CAGs have.

Played Tomb Raider today online, twice I was dropped from the game saying I have connection issues. I'm still connected to Live though so it makes no sense. Other players seemed to have the same issue, as they were back at the menu or looking for other lobbies.

Played Gears of War: Ultimate Edition online last night, had to same issue. Would get dropped out of matches, and people were missing frames. Other players online were complaining about it.

It definitely feels like an issue on Xbox's end, with either servers being a problem or the New Experience really being a lackluster experience. It doesn't make sense that I'd be dropped from matches without being disconnected from Live in these cases.

I only have noticed this online though. I haven't been playing single player games so I can't be sure if it's servers or the new dashboard.

I've had a love/hate time with Battlefront. Thurs night I finally got the hang of it and was doing well. Friday I was usually the most deaths on either team. It feels like the old games, down to bullshit long-distance kills.
 
I know I am 2 weeks late to the GWG announcement but so glad that WD is free next week on the One, I only want the game for the achievements but could not begin to cringe at having to rebuy it even on sale or for $5 for some reason ( I did just recently complete it and did pay $10-15 for it on the 360).  Vandal Hearts looks awesome, glad it's free for the achievements but I hope it goes on sale for the 360 so I can own it.  And for Metal Gear I will just complete it on the One and delete it and keep my free copy on the 360.  

Stressing out about picking up Escape Dead Island, seems like the only thing this week I could want, but I hate digital and have resorted to thumb drives now, really prefer physical games and digital games on demand being just for free GWG games.  

Also I know there is a Steam thread but with the announement of Angry Nerd Adventures 2 coming out, anyone who wants some brutal 2D platforming can get the 1st game for $4 until the 15th, it was $15 at one time but it may have dropped to $10 for the normal price, still I think that's a good price, not worth full price IMO.

Vandal Hearts looks awesome, glad it's free for the achievements but I hope it goes on sale for the 360 so I can own it. And for Metal Gear I will just complete it on the One and delete it and keep my free copy on the 360.

Stressing out about picking up Escape Dead Island, seems like the only thing this week I could want, but I hate digital and have resorted to thumb drives now, really prefer physical games and digital games on demand being just for free GWG games.

Also I know there is a Steam thread but with the announement of Angry Nerd Adventures 2 coming out, anyone who wants some brutal 2D platforming can get the 1st game for $4 until the 15th, it was $15 at one time but it may have dropped to $10 for the normal price, still I think that's a good price, not worth full price IMO.
