They were probably hoping to do what Guardians of the Galaxy did in August 2 years ago - make bank on a collection of comic characters from the lower tier on the public consciousness scale (with the obvious exception of the Joker). Had some hopes for this one, but I suppose not. Sounds like they need to clear house at Warner / DC and get a different direction going for the movies. The Justice League movie is probably too far along, but perhaps the first sequel should have the Anti-Monitor as the antagonist, let him win and reboot the whole damn thing. Again.

I planned on doing the same and got trolled by Xbox Live.

First, saw the price on X1 was $5 as I read on here. I then jumped on PS4 to see if I beat the old blood or the new order(couldn't remember which one I already played). I looked at my trophy list and noticed it was new order I had already beat so I jumped on the PS store to see how much it was on there and it said $10. So I switched back to Xbox and they must have corrected the price sometime during when I was on PS4 because when I clicked on the price on X1 again it was $10 this time. Trollololololol

You win this round XBox.
 
Jeez LEGO Star Wars: TFU had a 1.1 GB update for the 360 version of the game.  I think that is by far the biggest update I have even seen for a 360 game.

 
Just preordered the Gears 4 Xbox S bundle. And I'm gearing up to get a 55" Samsung SUHD set around that same time. I will achieve gaming nirvana on 10/7.

Yup, just installed both. I think that makes all of the XBLA Titles on this BC now. Great value if you can pick up this disc cheap, 10 BC games at once! Hoping move Cave stuff comes over as well!

 
Picked up Doom and the rest of the Fallout 3 DLC I didn't have. 

On Suicide Squad I just got out of an early screening. Stay away from IMAX 3D or just plain 3D. IMAX is barely used and the 3D is only really used during the opening and closing credits. The movie is at most worth $5-6 and that's pushing it. DC picked the wrong things to learn from themselves and Marvel and applied everything incorrectly. They kind of failed on a story/character build throughout. You see moments of okay they have something, then they'd neuter it. Viola Davis did the best and at the end they kind of messed that up by some story decisions.

I think it's more of they need to quit trying to play catch up and force things, their operating motto seems to be "We need to make Marvel money." They need to build it more organically and focus on their own stuff instead of what everyone else is doing. Also for Snyder to be fired into the Sun.

To be fair, that's every major movie studio's motto now (oh boy a Robin Hood universe shared series of films!) and Snyder should've been fired into the sun years ago, but instead they give him more money because...I don't know. Try DC/WB. Just goddamn try or give up and try again.

 
For folks asking about The Park, it's decent. It took me an hour and a half, and I ended up completing all of the achievements during the playthrough. Replay value is zilch, not a bad buy if you have plenty of discount Xbox credit like many of us do. The last 30 minutes of the game were a highlight, and I don't regret the purchase. I give it a 7 of 10 on the "walking simulator" scale.

As a fan of the original 80's line of Suicide Squad comics I am super glad this new travesty of a film is getting blasted in the reviews. Looks like a total train wreck and NOTHING like the original books which were fantastic. 

Who thought a blinged out Joker was a good idea anyway? Terrible.

In the old days (about 2 years ago), Marketing WAS in charge of pushing the updates, but now the Xbox Ops Center has taken back that job function, since Marketing was consistently screwing up the Marketplace update on a weekly basis. Now that the XOC is doing it, they're pushing the Marketplace update from the actual change orders, and the engineers there have a whole system to verify each others' work, so if you see a price or something get changed, it's probably because someone intended that price ... especially since price changes have to be verified & computed on a region/country basis.

With that said, I can't explain the massive screw-up of the "Fallout 4 Digital Deluxe" bundle going free, but that could've also been a mixup of internal communications. :lol:

Everything is based on the New 52 version of the DC Universe which was a horrible idea in the first place. But, I don't think the Joker even has gold teeth in the New 52. And, I read somewhere that there would be a new Justice League cartoon on Cartoon Network this fall, so I'm waiting for that.

Evidently I'm the only person in the world who STRONGLY prefers the DC movies over the recent Marvel films. When I watch any of the Marvel films, I half expect the characters to turn to the camera, wink at me, and say, "I know this is garbage, but the public is eating it up. Pay me." The movies are junk food for the brain, and instantly forgettable the moment you step outside the theater. There's a feeling that the actors aren't taking it seriously and this is all a big joke, so how vested can I actually be in any of the characters or "drama" I'm supposedly watching? Sure, there's an argument to be made that superheroes are intrinsically silly and nothing superhero related can be treated in a serious manner, but I disagree with that sentiment.

When I watch "Man of Steel" or "Batman vs. Superman," there's at least an attempt to broach the idea of how humanity would really react to the appearance of god-like beings, and I appreciate that. Snyder's films certainly have their problems (both MOS and B vs. S were over dramatic at times), but I'd rate either of his two DC films as better than any Marvel movie thus far.

Just the two cents of a bitter old man who realizes these feelings are totally subjective.

 
It's one thing to dislike the Marvel films. Certainly those aren't going to be for everyone. But praising the DC films? Not sure about that one.

Well it would be disingenuous of me to insist the DC films are classic works of art, but I prefer them to the Marvel movies. But evidently I'm completely out of step in terms of what the public considers a good superhero movie, because I preferred Ang Lee's Hulk to the version with Edward Norton. Based on the discussions online, I'm totally out of touch with what the public wants.

 
I believe you are correct in your self-assessment. The Norton Hulk was by no means a masterpiece, but the Ang Lee Hulk was quite possibly the worst movie I've ever seen.

Haha, I'm stuck on that same chapter. I don't completely understand the logic of the gimmick for the chapter. It wasn't really explained. I think it pulls down a block from the top that is the same color as what you removed below, but ensuring that you always have a multiple of 3 of any color. So in addition to getting rid of the blocks down below, you need to plan ahead where you want certain colored blocks to end up at the top when you're almost done. Haven't quite worked out a quick way to do this so each puzzle is slow going so far.

I really don't either. I beat the first few levels of it by pure luck I guess.

I just don't follow the logic behind it. I ended up watching how to beat the level I was stuck at on Youtube and it still makes no sense.

I thought Dishonored was pretty boring. But then again, my attention span for games lately is close to zero.

I've heard the same thing. Pretty disappointing as I was looking forward to this movie for a while. The Joker apparently is barely in the movie.

Which Samsung TV did you get? I researched for about a week or so to find a tv with low input lag.
