I wish I could still eat there. I got so sick off of it one time it ruined it for me.


I'm playing through the first two Wolfensteins and wow I'm glad I tried again. Originally I was playing them on a 55in and I got extremely motion sick but now playing on a small monitor it's going great.

Ha, believe it or not I got it with a Racing Index Mazda MX-7 but it never registered 180, only came up to 178. I then used your suggestion and it finally registered the 180 mph. Thanks

I remember back in high school I would take my then GF with coupons to LGS for the BOGO .Good times back then because as you get older you can't be eating like that otherwise that shit leaves love handles and muffin tops hell the works.

Got my two Design Lab controllers today, and I'm pissed. Mine doesn't have the metallic dpad I paid for. I'm on hold right now, and it isn't the first time I called. The first time I got transferred to fucking Brazil support. BRAZIL. Who refused to give me support because I'm in the US, and refused to transfer me back because it's "impossible." So US can transfer to Brazil but not the other way around?

I fucking hate MS support. They are fucking useless. The supervisor didn't give a fuck either. He said "Yeah. Well." That was it. He's had me on hold for over 10 minutes now. I'm sure he's just looking at porn right now.

Shout out to whoever it was that mentioned Dolby Atmos for headphones. Paid the 12 bucks, and I have it on my Xbox as well as my W10 laptop with mixed reality headset. All I can say is holy shit this sounds amazing.

I gave Wonder Boy a try.  The game is gorgeous.  Seriously.  

But I think that's the only thing going for it.  Being able to flip between the retro and new style is neat, but it also ties the new look to the old mechanics and framework - even in terms of awkward jumps and sword swings.  It just doesn't feel right.  I gave it a solid hour or so and just didn't think it was worth $13+ so I went the refund route.

I may dip back in when it's $3-$4.  

If you loved the old games - that's great... you may love it with a fresh coat of paint.  I mean, it was fine.  You can tell it's a passion project and a love letter to an old game.... just not worth the sale price to me.

I hope when A Boy and his Blob finally goes on sale that I'll like it better.

Just curious about the “refund route”. So MS still has the self refunds for certain preview members? I was wondering if they ditched it since it’s been quite a while and still has not rolled out to the masses as I wish it would.
 
My Gamefly copy of Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun came in today in pristine condition. As in no chips or anything, almost as if no one has ever heard of the game or even heard of the game until they looked up metacritic scores the day it went on sale. You know, people like me!

Fallout has shown as X enhanced for some people, so that might be the following day I'd imagine.

 
I kind of wish I still had my Xbox One S to do a comparison but even on my 1080p TV these X1X enhanced games seem like they look so much nicer. Quantum break looks just awesome. I still want a 4K for the upgraded resolution and the HDR but just the 1080p output is worth it so far.

Basically it's just simulated surround sound for headsets. Any store bought cans will work, but of course quality will depend on what headset you buy.

In the PC world you have many options like Creative Soundblaster or Razor Surround and this is just Dolby's version of it.

The surround effects are great considering you are only utilizing two speakers. Surprisingly it works way better than those headsets that crammed a cluster of smaller speakers like an actual 5.1 system.

still haven't been refunded, paypal is so automated that I can't get through phone/email to an actual person

paypal just says completed and my card was charged and I have no pending refunds so I guess I just keep waiting for something to happen

I dunno why people prefer using paypal, had I used my credit card (which I usually do) it would have went right off my temp hold after the merchant (rakuten) cancelled. Used paypal which I rarely do and now I'm out 20 bucks for a cancelled order (thus far) with no refund in sight lol

Well, aside from the obvious problems that can occur like you had, the biggest plus for me on Paypal is ease of use. It makes a lot of websites feel as user friendly as something like Amazon for making a purchase. Any site that takes Paypal generally allows me to go from cart to checkout in one or two clicks instead of having to fill out a bunch of fields for shipping address, billing address, credit card details, etc. I love it for that and get slightly annoyed now when I have to pull out my credit card for a site that doesn't take it. A lot of people tout the buyer protection stuff, but for me it's mostly just laziness that I appreciate.

ever have a case like mine? paid through paypal using a CC. Merchant (rakuten) cancelled and I was charged as in I owe the money not just a temp charge. Rakuten said it's paypal's deal. Paypal is highly automated. My main issue is if I don't stay on top of it I'll end up getting distracted and pay 20 bucks for a cancelled order and forget to pursue my refund. It's been since black friday since this happened and it will probably return eventually (hopefully) but obviously I'm concerned since there are no updates to ease my mind. Not sure why my credit card actually cleared tbh I would think it would have been held as a temp until released upon completion of my order. I really don't want to file any complaints prematurely but it's kind of ridiculous to owe money on a cancelled order for 5 days with no communication or mind-easing notifications in between.

and of course the internet has plenty of similar cases about rakuten but no resolutions posted lol

I stay away from both Rakuten and Newegg. Nope. Their deals are not worth the customer service hassle. Hell no.

There has been talk about the Master Chief Collection getting various fixes/upgrades/enhancements. When that happens is it likely there'll be a sale on digital copies?
 
I've transitioned into using Paypal for everything tbh. Pretty much for the convenience and the buyer's protection. I haven't had any problems with them. Then again I'm very particular about who I do business with/ or what I guess.

Yes, grabbed the Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG Coupe S FE from the current Forzathon. Last checked off tasks which I think I'll have completed as I'm not really a big drifting guy so I don't see myself doing the other category. Decided to turn off Stability Control with the new Porsche 911 GT2 RS and did a few drifts during races but not enough/ or not doing the event where it counts them in points I guess. Meh

Update: Ahh, looks like you have to set up the drift type for it to work.

I did the drift challenge last night. In freeplay under race setup theres a type of event selector. Had to put that on drift challenge and picked it up pretty easily.

I'm kinda surprised to see the way MS ignores the MCC for sales. I know folks are still mad about the online, but the single player is very solid. They probably don't want it to compete with Halo 5, but still.

CDKeys may still have it cheap, it used to be ~$6.
