Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

The real thing that grinded my gears is that the game came out in such a bad state, showing they learn nothing from D1, which also launched poorly and found a year to really find it's footing.
From what I hear, both games suffered big problems in their development and had to be scrapped in some form or another. I'm thinking the game engine is a little too obtuse, but they are getting better at being able to control different aspects of the game. Nothing like on the job training!

And I'm sure their reps will get a good chuckle out of your screenshot as "proof" of deserving an obvious error. :)

This one is just too risky for my blood, I've already got the first two (actually have both physical), so overpaying for the digital versions again if they yank 3 from it would be very bad.
The listing is pretty clear about what the purchase includes. I don't understand how people think this includes DS3.

So how is everyone organizing their groups in the latest update I’m struggling with the 160 games I have had installed, open to suggestions

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have 500+ games installed. It’s definitely a chore organizing them. I did groups for Streaming Apps, EA Access Games, Disc Games, Free 2 Play Games, and then I organized by franchise (assassins creed, gears of war, etc) if I had 3 or more games in that franchise. Only problem is 40 groups is the max so I got to Star Wars and ran out of groups. Then I updated my home console after doing all the work on my other console and it completely erased all the groups I had made. So word of caution if you have more than one Xbox, update the systems before organizing groups.

It’s nice to be able to put them in groups, and I really like that you can put a game in more than one group. But with 500+ it’s difficult to keep track of which games got grouped and which ones didn’t. Plus I need about 10-15 more groups to put them all in the arrangement I was going with. 😢

About that Darksiders bundle, I already owned the war and death bundle so I went and checked it out and it says I own this. So it seems like they just added Darksiders 3 to that bundle by mistake.

I clicked through to the D3 bundle and it says I can install it. So I hit that just to see what happens down the road but odds are they fix this soon enough. Just to make things interesting I checked my order history and found my bundle order (from April 2018) and D3 has been added to that order.

FYI - Groups are account-based and not console-based. What you set up on one console will propagate to all consoles as you sign in to them, but I guess a large amount of groups takes more time to do so.

Huh? Maybe because it's listed in the "In This Bundle" part. I think the RE fiasco couple holidays was actually a bigger price difference so who knows.

I bought that Darksiders collection for $10 back on 1/1/18 so I am very skeptical they will let us have DS3 for those who got in on it then for that cheap. It is currently showing that I have DS3 pre-ordered but there is still plenty of time for them to fix it before it release so I won't get my hopes up until then.

Also shows after you bought it on your account page purchase history. Lists all three.
Yeah and if you check the actual store on the One X under upcoming games it shows for me "purchased" under that edition of Darksiders III. They added a bunch of new stuff in there since I last looked a few weeks ago. Man that Resident Evil 2 remake looks amazing.

Not Darksiders related but Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter is 50-60fps on X since it was unlocked on the 360. Had a lot of fun with this game back in the day. Being unlocked on the original 360 still kept it around 30fps, so near double gains on the X

Why I gotta love rare replay so much when it treats me so bad

I actually just got the last achievement in Rare Replay last week. Was probably the most satisfying completion I ever earned.

Wow that's nuts how big is your hard drive? I've kicked around the franchise thing but then like I'll have a bunch of random ones with only one game. And I started one doing xbox 360 then puzzle games, platformers, rpg etc but I feel like it just wasn't working well either deciding which games to put in the group. Good to know 40 is the max. I'm thinking honestly I might just do an A-D pin D-G pin etc.

I bought the Darksiders two-pack way back when it debuted for the discounted $20 price.  Tracking it back to when I bought it, it shows that I "pre-ordered" the Whip and Chains  (or whatever it's called) edition of DS3.

My one X has a problem when when I turn it on, it can't find my WiFi. If i hold down the power button on the console for a few seconds and then turn it on from there, its always fine. I did a restore where i keep downloaded games, and still have this issue. Any ideas on what could be going on or how I fix it?

It’s a frustrating issue that has been reported by multiple One X owners on this thread. Hopefully Microsoft is aware and is working on a fix.

Thank you for the reply. I'm glad I am not the only one having this issue. It's a disappointing flaw. I love my X I just dont play on it much so the few times I do, it bugs me that it doesn't work right.

Known issue they don't care to fix. Happens to me about 75% of the time. It sucks and it's worse since they've done nothing to fix.

I liked the Lovers in Spavetime game, it's great for 4 person couch coop, I just already own it cuz yeah I think it might have been GWG.

Dosen't happen that often for me but a console restart fixes it. Pretty annoying though.

I've got close to 300 installed. I only have games grouped that I'm playing or planning on playing soon(ish). I just have them separated into three groups so far, games I only play solo (or split screen) Co-op games I play with my girlfriend, and Multiplayer games. I'll make a group for apps eventually. I've toyed with grouping all the game pass games I don't own into a group so I can see what games I can't play right now since my sub ended. But I'm too lazy to group that many games.

About that Darksiders bundle, I already owned the war and death bundle so I went and checked it out and it says I own this. So it seems like they just added Darksiders 3 to that bundle by mistake.

I bought that bundle a few months ago when it was cheap, and it shows I own the sequel as well.

Anyone have any issues with the optical drive for those who have a one X ? Just curious if anyone has run into any issues trying to play various formats of movies or TV shows.
My gears of war one S at times will not read a Blu Ray tv/movie that I know has worked before. Kinda tempted to get the one X so I can finally watch any format ( Blu ray, DVD or 4k) without any issues.
It will read games no problem though.

Not sure if anyone has tried remote play from the Xbox One to the Surface, but it’s extremely hit or miss as well. Sony put out remote play software and it works better. Sad that a PS4 runs better remotely on a Microsoft product than two Microsoft products...wtf.

Mine does this whenever there's a firmware update, so that's how I find out when one is ready. The new update causes the OS to freeze constantly if I try to move around quickly while looking for something, which is not great.

I have two USB drives hooked up to a powered hub, and I know there's been an update when they're powered off. Wasn't fun waking up this morning to see that happened AND the Xbox was factory refreshed due to an apparent bug in the latest skip-ahead update.

Yeah, I had to reconfigure my Xbox yesterday. It cleared off the cache too, so had to configure all my apps.

Soooo, now that the Darksiders SNAFU has been nuked (the "Blades & Whips" edition is no longer listed as part of the Fury's Collection bundle), any expectations/predictions for date night tonight besides the sales having AIDS?

Would love a good discount for the Ghost Recon Future Soldier DLC but that never happens  :shame:

FYI - Groups are account-based and not console-based. What you set up on one console will propagate to all consoles as you sign in to them, but I guess a large amount of groups takes more time to do so.
You are correct. However, if you stupidly do it in the order that I did (install the system update on non-home Xbox, organize all your groups on that console, then sign-in on home Xbox, install system update) it undoes all of your groups. I assume it’s because I signed into the unupdated console, which didn’t allow for groups because it was not updated. Once I started the update, the update treated my account as I didn’t have any groups so it was “overwritten” so to speak.

TL;DR Update all your consoles before you start organizing your games into groups or you’re gonna have a bad time

I’ve been on an assassin’s creed kick so if rogue hits 20$ again I might lose the will to wait for it to go lower. I’ve already beat Nier Automata on PC, twice, but any discount on that and i’ll fall for it as well. Luckily it’s probably far too soon for that to happen.

I just bought NieR the other day, so expect a sale on it soon. None of the achievements work on it but still a fun game.
